IMBRA Special Topics	K - 1 Visa & IMBRA	Hello Again Fellow VJer's ! Correct me if I am wrong about this . In 1973 I was convicted on a Misdemeaner Marijuana charge and also in 1991 a conviction that I have posted here . So this is 2 convictions in a lifetime . Here is what the Istructions for the I 29-F says about IMBRA Step 2 Of The General Requirements and " For additional IMBRA requirements , see Items 7 and 9 of these instructions ". Item 7 A says, " If you have ever been convicted of any of the following crimes, submitt certified copies of all court and police records showing the charges and dispositions for every such conviction. This is required even if your records were sealed or otherwise cleared, or if anyone, including a judge, law enforcement officer, or attorney told you that you no longer have a record ." Then it goes on to 7 A #3 to say this , " Crimes relating to a controlled substance or alcohol ON THREE OR MORE OCCASIONS, ( this is actually underlined in the instructions ) and such crimes did not arise from a single act . For me there was 2 drug convictions from the same act in 1991 and 1 drug conviction from a single act in 1973 . I am reading this as I Do Not fall under this IMBRA Law . Opinions please. As far as any secrets, my fiance knows about this and has a FULL Copy of my Pre - Sentencing Report that the Feds did in 1991 !! So no secrets. I told her about that when I knew we were falling for each other and then I took her the copy of the report at our meeting in the Philippine in October 2010 . Good Luck ........Terry Hello My Fellow VJ's....first of all, want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH guys for all the help/tips on this journey we have....this site is really so helpful and the good news is that...WE GOT APPROVED on our interview (October 4, 2010) at the USEm Manila....so much happy and so much Blessed there are alot of people here who helped us through this long journey... Just want to share too what had happened on our interview: INTERVIEW DATE: OCTOBER 4, 2010 TIME: 6:30AM Was there on the big line around 6;00AM, theres a line for Immigrant/Non-immigrant..all you have to show them was your APPOINTMENT LETTER with a VALID ID before you enter to the other line going inside the USEmbassy. Its good my auntie was permitted to go with me inside the USEmbassy (since i have two kids for the interview)..inside the USEm, they will check ur things (be sure not to bring CELLPHONE, DIGICAM), its NOT ALLOWED...from there, fall in line again in the reception...on the glass its posted there, for Immigrant Applicant, ready the following: DS-230 Part I, Part II, 2x2 pictures, Appointment Letter (its good i got a copy of my DS-230 Part I/Part II)..but when it was my turn...they didnt ask for my DS-230 Part I/Part II and 2x2 pictures...ONLY they ask for me was my Appointment Letter and they gave me my NUMBER (that number will be your NUMBER until the interview will be over)...got my #6051, 6052, 6053...went to seat down and the waiting period started....was there inside the USembassy around 7:00AM and my # was called on the Pre-Screener around 10:20AM...almost 3 hours my kids was so bored waiting, lol...liquids (like water, sodas) not allowed to bring inside...but when ur inside the USEm, theres a small booth there where you can buy some bottled water, sodas, chips)... For my Pre-Screener Interview, heres the questions they asked me/kids: *TAGALOG Conversation* For my 2 kids: HOW OLD ARE THEY? (my kids are asked individually in Tagalog) For ME: * Who is petioning you? (My husband/Name) * Is your husband half Filipino/half American? * Where did you met? (when i said on a online dating site: filipinaheart.com (then follow up question was, how did he propose to marry you, when he was here in the Philippines? * How many times he visited you in the Philippines (follow up question was: how many days?) * When did you met him? when did you last met him? when did you get marry? * What does your husband do for a living? * Is your cellphone number (looking on my paper) still active? * Are you still living here in this address? (looking again on my paper) - my address in the Philippines * Is this your first time to apply in the U.S.? (My answer was NO, since i applied before as TOURIST, then follow up question was, WHERE YOU GIVEN A TOURIST VISA? (MY Answer again, was No, was not given ma'am) * Did you go out outside the Country? (my answer was YES, follow-up question again, what countries? how many years you were there? what did you do there? are my questions) * My full name was asked * My Birthday * and my last question was do you have pictures with you? I said YES ma'am, then she said okay, thank you..thats it then she said wait and your number will be called again..was not asked for other documents because we already submitted everything on the NVC Stage...The Pre-screener is so kind ? After 10 minutes...my name was called for the Fingerscanning...booth #33...(The lady there was kind to assist too, my kids are exempted for the fingerscanning...The Black Guy will ask you only your Full Name and Your Birthday)..then we were asked to seat down again for our Final Interview with the CO and wishes us Goodluck. After 10 minutes...(not a very long wait on this)...our # flashes again for our FINAL INTERVIEW: Before our interview, we raised our RIGHT HAND (To tell him we are telling ALL THE TRUTH) FINAL INTERVIEW QUESTIONS: * Who is petitioning you? (Husband/Name) * Where did you met him? * How old are my kids? * Is my husband single? * Is my husband living alone? * What does he do for a living? * What did you do in abroad? * When did you met your husband? right after you filed your annulment? or before you met your husband? * Whats your work in abroad? How many years? Can i have your PCC in abroad? * What Countries you've been to? THATS it...and the CO is looking into our papers and his system..and he said CONGRATULATIONS! Your VISA is APPROVED!... I did forget to say that I have booked my flight tickets already and the Travel Agent says that I will do the extended stay status when I enter Philippines at Manila at Immigration . Philippines	NBI Clearance	Hi, I understand her,I had given the same instruction from barangay/police staff that I need police/barangay clearance.but the truth is I can bring my expired nbi clearance to just renew it,if she don't have an expired nbi then she just provide Id go to nbi fill out the forms,pay & be done with it.hope her name doesn't appear any HIT!!because it it does it will time to obtain Nbi. Philippines	NBI Clearance	Just any valid id's required,then filled it up a forms then pay more or less 115 then have a finger printing,then pics then wait for an hr or less than hr it depends of the applicants..just got mine here too... OK ...thanks to everyone for your replys . I just now called Chona about this and she still says it is the requirement for getting the NBI Clearance . I guess it does not matter now because she is suppose to already have that Barangay Police Clearance ....just a waste of money in my opinion !! Philippines	Visa 2Go delivery to town without a 2go center?	nj27 , is my opinion that  2 - GO  will deliver to the address that you put on your paperwork because they are contracted with USEM to do their deliveries . My fiance put down that she will pick up Visa at the SM Mall Of Asia and after she did her interview at USEM she wanted to change that to be delivered to her home address and they said they could not change that . I have an exact copy of everything I sent with the Petition and I know I will need to send my girl the proof of income and some bank statements . Where is it that I go to IRS for transcripts for the past filings . I did go to their site and could on choose one year and they are sending that year . K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Employment Type	Thank You Everyone for your replies . I am not sure if this job is a " Temp To Hire " position but it is a fairly stable position . The Company I worked for before was a Contractor that has the contract to procure the repair parts for the equipment and vehicles for VDOT and has been doing this since 1995 . The reason I was layed off was the fact that VDOT closed 50% of their repair facilities, and we were in all of their facilities. The job I have now is working at one of the 2 Tunnels on Interstate 77 . I am doing the research now to start procedings to file the I29-F for the K-1 Visa . I just landed this jon on February 02 and thought was best to wait for 90 days because the General Consensus in U. S. is 90 day probation period even though this job is always actually probation period since is through a Staffing Agency BUT ...it is more or less permanant as long as this Agency has the contract with Virginia . I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction to a list of All requirements for doing the K-1 Fianc`e Visa . My fiance is from the Philippines and we met in July 2010 and I did go to visit her for 34 days and returned to the United States on November 30, 2010 And I Am Running Out Of TIme ! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Doing K-1 ..I29-F / Convicted Felon	Thanks Everyone ...SOrry ..I have been really busy . OK ..here is the deal ...On January 03, 1991 I was arrested at my home in possession of 25 pounds of marijuana and LESS than 4 ounces of cocaine and I also OWNED guns . I was convicted and sentenced on all 3 counts on April 10, 1991 . I did FINALLY win my case on the gun charge about 6 months before I was to be released and I was released 6 months early . I was a Nobody that came from nowhere ...a simple cut and dry case that involved only me and was raped on the gun charge for a gun collection that was displayed on my fireplace mantel In My Bedroom . Thanks Everyone . PS .... I do still have all of my paperwork concerning all of that . Is copies of that paperwork good enough as proof of what hadd happened and doing my time " Squeeky Clean ", doing the Supervised Release with No Problems and even getting off Supervised Release a little early ? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I 29-F & G 325a	As long as you get the petition submitted and accepted by USCIS before it's been more than two years since your last face-to-face meeting then you'll be fine. It's not required that the visa be issued before the two year window has expired. I am so glad to hear your words . I have been sweating bullets over this one !!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	G 325a and Fiance Signature	Need opinions for this subject . I will be doing the I 29-F soon and yesterday I received my Fiance G 325a form and her Full Name consists of 19 letters of the alphabet ....now when she signed where it say Signature , her signature takes up the space of about 1 1/2 letters of the alphabet and I cannot tell what letter(s) it could be . It looks more like she was trying to clear the ball of the ballpoint pen to get it to write . I am concerned if the Government will accept this style of signature ...I look forward to all opinions ...Thanks ...Terry PS ...She lives in the Philippines so she uses the English Language . On Yahoo there is a part with " Conversations " that keeps a simpler view of chats . When I click on mine is says " 2749 Conversations " at " 110 Pages " . Of course that is the Total number of conversations . I printed Pages 1 , 25 , 50 , 75 , 100 and also Page 110 and that shows a synopsis of chats and a small declaration of what is in each chat and who the chat is with . It surely does not go to the beginning of our relationship because we met in August 2010 and the described pages only goes to May 2011 . My question is this : I would like opinions of if this is acceptable as proof since all of the chats show that it is with my Fiance' except ONE on page 110 , remembering that the 6 pages printed shows a line from the chats and there is 25 lines of chats per page .
