CanadaGot my Passport Back!

Wheeee!

Pretty amazing...had the interview on Friday, and just got the Passport with Visa back this morning! :D :D :D

I'm a tad peeved that they put it in the mailbox, even though I purchased a "signature required" sticker. But at least they used one of the package-sized auxiliary boxes (which needed a key) rather than try to cram it into the regular box.

When my mother saw the envelope she started bawling. :( I guess that's the only downside to moving down there...the family ties issue. I'm TOTALLY happy about it -- 100% -- but seeing my mother so sad takes a little bit of the enthusiasm out of it.

Oh well. It's just a LITTLE bit of the enthusiasm. I'm really thrilled! :joy: :joy: :joy:

Congrats, that was quick! My Mam had a little cry on the phone today as well when I told I'll be flying out soon. Shes going to miss me and my little boy so much, and I her but you gotta live your life, and as long as we are happy the folks will be happy.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresRE-post affidavit support

Oh...I thought I was alone...so we have the same problem...what we can't except is my husband income is higher than any employee in USA...he made very good income abroad as international worker,..we have a very nice life...traveling arround the world, playing golf etc.....But still not enough for embassy..we are very sad and frustrating yes...

My husband talked to his brother about joint sponsor but still no decision yet..i can understand that this is not easy decision for them..so let them think about it for a while...My mother in law willing to be our joint sponsor but she is 84 y/o and she does not have job only living from pension and property rental from other...I worried this could be a problem...

So you have get the joint sponsor, and did you submit them to embassy already??? I am coriouse how long it will take after you submit them......Please kindly share your story with us....Thank you very much...and best wishes for your next interview...

Hiya, yeah Ive submitted them already, they got all the relevent paperwork on Friday and we were told today that the visa is in the printers and my passport will be sent out today or tomorrow! No second interview.
Did they take your fingerprints and get you to sign your name on the DS 230 part II at your interview? Im so sorry this has happened to you too, I thought the affidavit of support would be fine cos my husband is on a good wage over there. Hope you get your co sponsor sorted.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresRE-post affidavit support

Dear VJ forum,

I have more question about affidavit support.....
We still can't believe/hardly to believe that US Embassy refuse my visa CR1 with financial reason...which my husband has submit the form I-864 and other supporting document...then consulate at embassy asked me to submit another affidavit support from co-sponsor..

Is that possible for my husband to re-submit the affidavit support with more evidence because its hard to except the decision of USA embassy..which far away from reality...Fyi my husband has been working internationally out side of USA for along time..

I am waiting for any response from all of VJ member...thank you very much in advance

Hi, thats exactly what happened to me recently. Couldnt believe it. We submitted the co-sponsors paperwork and now my case is under review. Have you got your co sponsor yet?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMy fiance lives in Ireland. I live in U.S.

It says your fiance will apply for a Visa abroad at the American embassy or consulate at:

City:

Country:

I am confused. Is this the embassy in his country or mine? He lives in Ireland and will be moving to the U.S.

Thank you!

Its Dublin, Ireland I'd say. Dublin seem to have a quick turnaround for fiance visas , just under 3 months. Im not sure if you can file the petition under Direct Consular Filing though. I think someone like Izzyflan needs to comment on this.
