Hi, it happened to me when i paid my visa fee, its ok dont worry. I used to work for BPI too. Just make a copy of the stamped payment for your file coz they will get the original at the embassy. Good luck on your interview.

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionfiance visa stamp in passport
The visa will be laminated in one of the pages of your passport. Its not included in the envelope you will hand to the immigration offcier upon your arrival in the US. You always have to have your passport handy when you travel coz airline officals will check it. Goodluck.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionBiometrics Appointment
I just had my biometrics today, 03.01.07 at St. Louis, Missouri. We left Illinois at 7am and got to STL at 9am, my appointment was scheduled at 10am. So we went first to The Gateway Arch and took some pics and went to the Museum. Afterwards, we went looking for the USCIS STL. I got there at 1015am. It was good there were only 3 people waiting in line and they were not really strict with the time. So i went to the counter and the lady gave me a form to fill up and when i was done filling that up, i gave the form back and i gave her my state id. We only waited for 5 minutes and it was my turn for fingerprinting and picture taking. I think it only lasted 5 mins. The lady who took my biometrics was very nice and we had little talk about the hail storm we just experiened getting out of the Museum. And she said, i will get my work permit in 30 or more days. All in all, our day was very good. My husband and I did some shopping and dined at St. Louis Union Station Mall.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionInterview for Removal of Conditions
I have posted this question on another thread but after a week i still havent gotten a reply, so i thought il try it here. I noticed that there is no column for the interview date for those removing conditions on their GCs, does that mean there is no more interview when you go through the I-751? Please shed some light on this. And thanks in advance for those who will reply.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHow long?
An update after 2 months, i got my biometric appt. letter on May 4 and I was scheduled for an Infopass appt. on May 6. My husband and I still decided to go to my infopass appt. coz I still haven't received my NOA1. On my Infopass appt., my passport was stamped with I-551 stating I am work authorized for a year or until May 6, 2010. At least for now, I can give a sigh of relief. I hope my journey will be faster. Goodluck to the rest.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHow long?
Just an update. I called the 1-800# after 30 days of sending my I-751 which is April 6 and the immigration officer was very helpful. He made a speedy request for my extension letter & biometric appoinment. He even gave me a reference & confirmation nos. He said that within the next 30 days, I would be getting those documents. I hope so. I just wanna make sure that it hasn't been sent thats why I still dont have it. And he made sure of that. I also made an infopass appointment on April 13. I made this a day before I called the 1-800#. Should I still go or its just a waste of time coz I would be told the same thing I was told by the IO on the 1-800#?

I am starting to worry. I sent my packet on March 6 and the check was cashed on Mar. 10, until now, no NOA1 nor biometric appointment letter. How long does it usually takes to get it? I know the site says an average of 7 days and I have been reading some of the posts here. I need an advice. Thanks to those who will respond.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPassport to expire this Sept.
I didnt apply for AP coz it will probably in 2009 before we come back home. I went to the nearest embassy website and it says there that they renew EXPIRED visa. Mine will yet to expire in Sept. 2007. I dont know if i have to get it now or wait before it expire which is probably by Aug. And i dont know if i need a new passport before my AOS/EAD gets approved.

You do not mention applying for AP?

When do you want to travel.

How long does your Embassy take to renew a passport.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPassport to expire this Sept.
Hi All!

I posted this question last night but only one replied. Probably a lot was watching the superbowl hehehe.

I mailed my AOS/EAD application today. It seems that it takes USCIS 6 or more months to process such application. However, my passport will expire on Sept. 2007. My questions are : how soon do i need to renew my passport and would i need a passport once the EAD/AOS arrives. Thanks in advance. :help:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAddress Change
Hi! I want to help you but there's not much info about you or your timeline. I dont know if your fiancee has filed the I-129F or if u have submitted the requirements yet. Is your hometown very far from Manila? If everything goes fine with your fiancee's petition, it could be approved in 6 months or less. And once you gets approved you have to be in Manila for the medical and interview. Can u just wait for another year or less or u really want to go home? I know family is important. But this is your decision to make. The most important thing is if its already filed and your fiancee moves to another address, he should just notify the USCIS in changing address. I hope i helped you and if i confuse you more I'm sorry.

Hi everyone,

I'm concerned with my situation. I'm currently in Manila working but I wanna go back to my hometown when I turn 1 yr from my current job which will be on July. I'm planning to resign and go home by August 07. Will it delay paperworks if my address will be changed? I really wanna go home since I'm not happy staying here and I think I'll lose my mind. My fiance is worried coz he said it might delay things. What do you all think?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresProof of relationship
I would recommend that you meet your fiancee first before you file. There is no way you can get approved if you didnt meet the meeting requirement like what happened to us. Although my fiance-now-my husband reappealed in June 2005, its still pending. Its good we just redid the I129F all over again coz if we waited for the decision on the appeal,we would get too old. There is no way USCIS will approve you eventhough you give them any reason, that just what I think. Goodluck to you.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA1 for EAD & AOS
Hi guys. I just checked our mailbox 3 minutes ago. I have two letters from USCIS regarding NOA1 for EAD & AOS. I HAVE NO RFE's. Yahoo!!!!! I am so happy I almost cried. I have a good news to my husband when he comes home tonight from work.
joan/rogerFemalePhilippines2007-02-15 12:26:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureshow long do i have to wait to send in another petition?
Dont give up, just file again. I dont know what happened why they revoked your petition but in our case my bf then filed the petition before we met in person thats why it was disapproved. So when you are sure you met all the requirements, just file again. Because if you waited for that petition or you appealed that petition, you will be waiting in vain. Its better to file again. In our case, it just took less than 4 months for USCIS to approve the 2nd petition we filed. And guess what, we didnt hear anything on the 1st one. Its still pending. But better yet, use a lawyer this time to be sure. Good luck!

I , the us citizen, sponcered my fiance for a k-1 visa and it was revoked in october. Nothing has worked out for us and have decided maybe it just wasn't meant to be. Anyway my question is if i ever decide to do this again for another how long do i have to wait before i can send in another petition for somebody else? Dont have anybody in mind just curious. Our case is not close yet it just made it back to california service center. When would the date begin? When i sent out the petition in January of 2006? Or when the case gets close? Thanks

This is just my opinion, i always tell my husband-now-fiancee-before that it is easier and faster to file K1, if done properly. If you are good in understanding instructions, collating documents, all the paperwork, then do it yourself but if youre not then hire a lawyer. Goodluck to you.

My wife went to take her medical today, and they are asking for her package 4 which she has not received. all we have is the letter from NVC with the interview date.

do we need to wait for that pakage? could we get it from anywhere? on the NVC instruction letter, there is no mention of that package.... blink.gif

Ok, this is what happened. my wife went back the next day and ask the doctor what is the secretary talking about,.... when she asked for her packet IV,.... the doc apologized he said the secretary was new and she didn't know what she was talking about.... oops8rh.gif that the appointment letter sent by NVC was all she needed....

now all we have to do is wait for the dreaded interview..... ph34r.gif

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresVISA APPROVED!!!!!!
My wife went to her second interview today and she was approved.

She was there the whole afternoon. Her appointment was at noon, but she didn't see the interviewer until 4 pm.
Before that, she was fingerprinted. the interview itself was smooth, the interviewer was not too friendly and not too mean, but he made a couple of errors
that my wife was quick too pick them up. (if they make an error, don't be afraid to correct them nobody knows the case better than yourself!)
He only made four basic questions:

1. Where does he work?
2. What does he do there?
3. How did you meet?
4. Whom does he live with?

after that he typed a little bit on the computer, and told her that she was approved!!!!! kicking.gif

I'm really thankful for this website, and all people that collaborate with it.

thank you guys!!! and good luck in your journey to everybody. good.gif
