Canada	Police Check in Vancouver?	Yea, waaay back when we started this process, I didnt know how long it would take to get my clearance so I went downtown to the VPD and had my fingerprints done. It has since then expired and wondering if I should go and get a recent clearance done, but I want the results to come asap! and no DFC for me..we submitted everything hardcopy, got interview yesterday! Canada	Credit options for us Canadians	Hey Guys, I actually was able to open an account at Wells Fargo without a SSN, just brought my Canadian License and Passport for identification and using my wifes address here in washington, I was open with my information about my visa paper work etc etc and it was no problem. Also, I had asked about credit. Yes, you will have to re-establish your credit in the US unless you have a Canadian bank (Royal Bank I believe does this) and a US bank that will transfer your credit history to the US. My advise, as well as from the bankers, is to get a secured credit card (usually $500 - $1000), use it and pay it off, its the fastest way to create an impeccable credit score in the US, as well as repairing credit history. Canada	Last minute wondering	Don't bring a USB key into the consulate in case that was your plan....no electronics according to our other VJers, Good luck on Tuesday, everything will be fine! So guys, I'm wondering... my husband had copied his last five pay stubs onto a USB key but this morning realized that the images didn't copy. Are we screwed if we don't' have them? Do they ask for sure to pony up evidence that he still works where he does? We were wondering, would they call the lab to verify? If they did, that would be great as they could just say, 'yep, Mr. LGG still works here'... should he go all the way into the lab before catching his flight to get them? I'm starting to hit a bit of panic mode. Also, I have our binder with pics and wedding pics, lots of evidence of bone fide and an exact duplicate of everything that we ever sent them. Passport, Expresspost mailer, medical results.... I am also worried that I don't have another original of my long form B.C. just the copies I made for our records. Gah!!!! Canada	Last minute wondering	Yea, I'm getting my wife to print out her direct deposit transactions online from her bank to show her place of works most recent pay for a little extra proof. I would do the same, even a bank deposit record would prove it, pay stubs are good too, but your bank statement should say the place of work. Canada	Medical Exam Results Question	Oh thank you very much! ALL my blessings to you as well! This is the last leg of the journey! I'll be going through the truck crossing, I never liked the Peace Arch. My wife lives in Everett, WA so yeah, its really close, Puyallup is a wee bit further Yea, my wife and I actually see each other every weekend, either I go there or she comes here, we've been really lucky. But its time to go home! Anyway, definitely I will give my FULL report! I feel I have responsibility to others who are waiting and going through the same process. They lady at the clinic said that everything is good and that I am good to go (having all my age appropriate vaccines complete). But I got home and looked at the results in the envelope that you are allowed to open NOT the sealed one and the form was checked that the "Vaccine History Incomplete" and "Applicant may be eligible for blanket waiver because vaccines not medically appropriate" What does this mean? Our lives and relationships are at stake and we are all WELL invested into the process and its our main purpose to happily share what we can to make the journey easy and informative for others Original Birth Cert, Certified Marriage Cert and AOS (possilbe copy) was given back to us. Anyone else wanna add their returns? Oh that's interesting, they gave you back the affidavit of support - so I assume they gave you back the photo copy you sent and kept the original?
