Hi,

I had my interview on the 11/23/10, well I was not approved on the spot they lady had to look at my file as it had 3 diffrent A numbers. Anyway Go the Oath letter today. The lady that interviwed me acted like my mom she asked me if I know what thrut is. Anyway I thought that was little odd. Apprently while I was on F-1 and got a Driver licence in alabama they managed to register me for select service. I looked dumb :o she said thats not normal

You cannot apply for naturalization while you residing outside of USA. You need to be residing in the district or the state for 3 months before you apply. At the interview she will be asked what is her address and if you and she are residing at that address together. If she lies at the interview, she will not be able to natauralize. If the USCIS finds she lied at the interview after her N-400 was approved her Citizenship will be judicial revoked and deported. I would strongly advise to apply for Naturalization when you guys return to the US.

Residency in terms of naturalization is very important as it is intended for people residing in the USA.

Slovenian is not a dialects of Russian the languages are from the same group which is called Slavic languages, the same goes for English and German which are in Germanic group. I recommend you read some book on languages so you will understand the diffrence. Argument about proximity is ignorant.

Three German dialects are spoken in Bavaria. Bavaria is a tiny little place.You can call these dialects. Not Mexican, not American.


American english is a set of dialects of english, you can have dialects over regions or only in countries or over a very small region. So Austrian German is Austrian not german? Same goes for american canadian australian etc. It does not matter how big the region is.

We had our interview yesterday too. In my appointment letter, I noticed a green ink stamped "APPROVED"..and something below (it was a cut version). Anybody with the same situation? This is aside from the black ink"APPROVED" I saw in one of my forms (I dunno exactly on what form).

Green stamp normally means you will be flying to US. You are approved!

Well I am sorry I guess I should not have used This is not right. YOu can do what ever you want to. Basicly, you will not have any problems if you have never been out of status and apply for K-1. You will have to wait usually for 6 months to have a K-1. You will have a very good evidence for why they should give you the K-1 as you lived together. Also, you could look at OPT after you graduate and get a EAD for a year after you graduate and work in the USA, you can contact your International office. But if you have a firm job offer from Australia than you should do K-1 as it is not easy to get a job in US as a recent graduate right now.

Going back and do the K-1 is not the right way. This is why you are allowed to adjust. When you get married and file your I-130 and I-485 you are not out of status you are waiting for your visa approval, and you do not have to maintain F-1, while waiting you can apply for EAD and I-131 which will let you go to Australia and visit your family and come back. If I were you I would adjust it is faster and cheaper. Also, F-1 holders if they have been in the US for longer time have less problems at the interviews. I adjusted from F-1 and my case was approved in 4 months and the we where at interview for 10 min max. asked just basic questions.

I'm trying to figure out if I, the U.S. spouse, will once again have to prove my income when we apply to remove conditions on my husband's green card. If we have a second child, we will try to arrange it so that I can continue to stay at home for awhile. But if I need to prove income, that will be a problem, obviously. Any thoughts?

Hi, I posted in the July forum also. We just got approved on 12-29. We filed July 22 (received 24th) and have an NOA1 date of Aug. 7. So I've never been sure if we were July or Aug. filers. Anyway, we never got a touch at all until 12-29. The message is still the same on the website ("Case received and pending"), but my attorney called yesterday to tell me they had received the NOA2. We were 86 on Igor's List and we were approved within the VJ Timeline estimate. Hope this is helpful. This is a really frustrating process.

Hi, I'm a lurker, never posting. However, I did want to let everyone know that we finally got approved. We sent the application on July 22 (received July 24) and have an NOA1 of Aug. 7. The only touch we ever got was 12-29 and the message didn't change. I didn't know until my attorney called today that we had been approved. I hope this is helpful for those in July and August who are still waiting.

Also, we were about 86 on Igor's list and our approval was within the VJ timeline estimate.

I filed for our K1 visa in May - was approved in Sept - Interview for Egyptian fiance took place in Nov - and we got approved.

He was told he would receive his passport with the visa in about 2 months -

We are going on 3 months - and after talking to the american embassy in cairo - was told his case was sent to DC for additional administrative processing.

What does this mean?
Can my Senator Help?
Are we still approved?

No one will tell us anything.

I called the EZVISA people we used to help us work on the paperwork and they said - his name must have come up on a "hot list." Which is ridiculous. Are they profiling because he is arab?

HELP!!!!!!!
