K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Getting Ready to File I-129F. If my Fiance and I have never been married will that help the service center process faster?	The purpose of the K-1 visa is to get married within 90 days after the Beneficiary enters USA. So to answer your question.....not being married will not make the process go faster. It depends on many factors. Start by reading the guides and looking at the examples at the top of the page. That will truly help you prepare the I-129F package as well as for the rest of the process. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Bad Surprise	Payxibka is right. Also the timeline is just the average of the time from those that are already approved. This is just statistics. Add to that average just one expedite approval and it will push back everybody's timeline. This is because the date of the NOA2 is closer to it's NOA1 and not like the rest who filed maybe in January or December and are still waiting for approval. At least this is how I understand it. You have to put your email address in the next page. Once you get it you can add info or edit the one you have. Hope this helped. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Help! K1 returned	This thread made me check my copies again paper by paper. And so far (God help us) the mistake in my money order was the only error. I double checked again with Western Union and the money order was cashed on April 22. But I'm human. If something else comes out in the next month, of course is my fault. At least I can say that we check all the documents before I sent them several times and following the guides. My very last step (the payment) was were I slipped. I hope there is no more errors. I was checking my set of copies of the I-129F and I found that I made the money order to USCIS instead of the US Dept of Homeland Security. Yet I have my NOA1 and my case #. Of course the amount ($$$) is correct. I wonder if it is because I do not live in the continental US although there is an office of the Dept of Homeland Security 15 minutes from home. After the power supply fails, the mother board will fry it's capacitors before even damaging your HD. I'm using mine in an enclosure as an external hard drive after the power supply literally burned up on my last pc. If you can't put the HD in an enclosure try plugging it on another pc. And also how long it will take to get some of them like the police report for example. Check the embassy reviews for other people's experiences as well as what questions were they asked. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Need thoughts on proof of relationship for interview	Well....this is my case. I visited my SO for 3 weeks exactly 3 months ago. I'm a civil engineer and work as project manager in construction projects. My next project will begin sometime between August and September. If by some good chance we get an interview close to October then I can't go to the interview. I already have some negative answers because I already used my vacation time for this year. If I take time on my own I could be substituted very easily so bye bye to my job. To make matters worse at the beginning of each project is where 90% of the problems arise. And believe me.....some contractors have really big claws. I work for the government and I have to take care of multimillion dollars budgets so I have to be very careful with how I solve those problems. Needless to say there is a big chance I will not make it to her interview. So taking that into account I'm gathering all the evidence I can get my hands on and preparing them in a orderly manner. If I have the chance to go I will do it. But I can't rely on that possibility so I'm preparing everything for her interview just in case. PEACE my friends.............. Problem is that there is no surefire method to make it less painful. In my case I rate the moment we said goodbye as the worst moment of my life. I also tried to be strong but with no avail. In the 24 hours that took the trip back home I couldn't find a moment alone to let go all my pain. I thought I was going to die that day What we really did was a commitment to always stay in contact more than ever no matter how. And to immediately look forward for the future to the moment we spend the rest of our lives together. My humble suggestion.......Don't hold that pain within you. Each file has a barcode an whenever something is done with the file it has to be scanned. When something like that happens, the date showed in USCIS site is updated. Thus it means that you've been "touched". About the time.....hang in there. It's not by chance alone that this process is considered the hardest. But you are not alone. There are many in the same boat and we help by giving each other support. You are welcome to rant or vent your frustration at any time though. We will hear you and help you. All that the USCIS site says about my petition is that it was received. SAme as you. But don't rely on this only. They rarely update the info. Many here has their NOA 2 for quite some time, some even with their SO in USA and even married, and the site still only says that their I-129F was received.
