I'm cleaning out my house too.. keeping the major things just in case I get a denial, so just the usual spring cleaning, but deeper LOL.  2nd Dec is not far away.. So happy for you.  Update from me. I finally have medical results as of yesterday, my fiances/co-sponsors paperwork is currently in route which should be arriving any day now. I have certified copies of courts orders (child custody) and I have assembled my part of packet 3 to send back to Sydney as soon as the I-134 arrive. And if the Australian timelines are going as they were 2 weeks ago, I should have interview end of this month or first week of Dec. I have found some flights which will save me $1500 and if everything goes to plan, I'll be flying out 19th Dec (no tickets booked yet).   Same here!! Congrats!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2013 filers	I know this technically does not fall under any VJ forum, but I just wanted to relay my most sincere thoughts and prayers to the fellow VJers and May 2013 Filers that have been affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. From the news reports, it looks like the destruction has been nothing short of catastrophic. Stay safe!   Thank you so much! Your prayers helps a lot. I have met some K1 applicants during my interview yesterday and I was sad  because most of them cant contact their family and friends. Most are worried and wanted to go but no flights available. The good news is those applicant came from Tacloban Leyte were processed first.   I would like also to thank everyone here for all the helps and encouragements. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2013 filers	Hello,   is there anyone here who haven't received the hard copy of NOA 2?? I was approved last September 24. We got the letter from NVC last October 22, so I was really wondering what had happened to my NOA 2. We tried to email  the USICS about it because I do understand said document is needed for adjustment of status. Since I was transferred to Texas, I am thinking to email them too. Is there anyone here who have the same case of mind? I have found out that there are case like mine here but how about the "May Filers"?   God bless to all and good luck to everyone. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2013 filers	Hi OF and LG, any news yet on your "Physical File"? Are they going to give us a letter? I haven't heard from them. It's been 2 weeks already since the documents were sent to them. DHL usually takes 3-5 days. I tried doing the "monitoring from DHL" using the EXP09OCT2013A thing. the 3 documents I was monitoring were already delivered by DHL last week.   Any idea from the others from Philippines who's already done with the process? Thanks!   Hi kuletkulet, I called the USEM today and sad to say my physical file is not yet there. A bit worried too but I'm trying to look for the thread  about attending interview without the physical file and notice of eligibility. I will give you the link as soon as I find it. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2013 filers	Congrats Nurseling!!!!!!!   Btw, Anybody from the Philippines done with the interview? My file was sent to the embassy October 9 according to NVC. As of yesterday, the embassy in Manila said they haven't received the physical file but they will forward an instruction for the interview once received. May I ask if somebody from the Philippines received this instruction already? How long after the NVC sent it to the embassy and was it sent to you thru email or mail? I'm scheduled for interview on the 30th and I fear that I will have to resched. thanks!       We are on the same boat. The USEM emailed me today informing me that they havent received the physical file but my interview is on Nov. 12. NVC said they sent my file October 7. Since they recevied the electronic file, i dont know why we cant proceed on the interview the fact that all they details they needed can be found on the electronic file. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2013 filers	Hooray we were approved our visa today at the interview. Thank god. Ithe visa will be sent In about 10 days I was told. Got up really early around 5.00 to get ready. It was rainy today and silly me left my umbrella behind. Luckily when I got to the que there was a girl in front of me that was going for a visitors visa who was kind enough to share her umbrella with me. The embassy was packed full of people all going for diffent visas. It's funny the k1 visa didn't move as quick as the other visas. AnY way after 40 mins of waiting I finally got called up to counter number 1. The lady was a nice Asian lady. She asked me for my interview letter and my number. Then asked me for my police cert and my 2 passport pics. Then my birth certificate. I gave her all of the stuff she asked. She then said where is your daughter. I had to explain again that she didn't come cos she won't be joining me till summer. So she said ok but make sure she joined you in the summer cos the K2 visa has a 1 year limit after that they won't allow her to join again. She said can I fill out the forms for her now so she can make a folder for her for when she comes to interview in June. Luckily I carried all the info of her school etc with me so was able to fill out the ds157 and 156. I handed it back to her and she then told m to put my finger on the screen for finger prints. After that was done she took my passport. And asked for my visa receipt of payment and the courier recipt. She took my passport of me then put it in somekind of plasticky see through folder then gave me my x-Ray film from my medical said I can keep that. She told me o go sit down and wait and someone will call me in for the interview. I sat down for another 15 minutes then my number flashed up on the screen I front again. I went to counter 16 and saw a lovely African American lady who proceeded to tell me to swear that everything was the truth. After I swore she asked me a few questions. First was how did we meet When did we meet How did the relationship progress Have I been to see him Have I met his family Where did we meet again She kept trying to confuse me cos even though I told her Georgia she said a few times was that in Florida. She asked when he proposed When do I plan to go Then after that she said I am happy to tell you your visa is approved. It will take about 10 days to be couriered to you. When you get the white plastic envelope inside there will be sealed envelope this is what you need to give them at the port of entry in Georgia . Congratulations and good luck with the future. She even printed out all the information that my daughter needs for when she has her interview I.e evidence she needs to bring. That was my experience happy it is all over and done. On to the next phase which is finding ticket to fly in December it's been a journey I must say. All those still waiting don't worry they really are nice at the embassy and it's just a formality cos they already know they will be giving you a visa. If they didn't they would grill you with more questions. In my interview I never got many she just repeated the same ones twice. Hope all waiting that filed in may have a good experience too. I will let you guys know once the visa arrives by courier. No need to fill-up various forms, just the DS-160 Yes you do need to send your fiancée your last tax transcript. A tax transcript is the end of year paper you get from your employer showing how much you earn and how much tax has been deducted from your salary for that year. Hopefully you have one.   woohoooo.. please keep us posted on your interview. We are all excited to hear from you! YEAAAAHHHHH!!!! I just got my case number!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2013 filers	I think you are referring to the alien number change. But no, that means that are yet to have an approval from USCIS. They dont have NOA2 yet.  And since you are EAC your file went to Vermont which means by the way things are going now, you should get your case number relatively quickly. Unlike me and alot of CSC filers who are waiting 40+ days. You should get your case number within 2 weeks once your USCIS approval (NOA2) comes thru     Have you try to call the Embassy for your case number? Somewhere in the thread that  from Philippines, they are waiting for case number from NVC but when they tried to call the Embassy here, they got it! So I am not sure if this  is also applicable in your country but there is no harm in trying.   You know until now we havent received the hard copy of our NOA2 and letter from NVC so what I did is I emailed the NVC last October 1 to ask for my case number and also to locate our file. I missed all of you!!!   I just got back from hospital becuse my mother got sick and I took care of her.   By the way, I am on the process of adopting a baby boy but since the adoption is not yet final I cannot bring him. The baby boy was with me since he was born but the papers got delayed because always changed her mind.   As for my case, its READY now and I just paid the visa today. I call within the last 30mins of closing time and pretty much get straight thru or a wait of 2mins or less. My fiance called NVC and he said the same. Hard to get NVC, but might be easier again before closing time.. (DOS/NVC on East coast time) DOS closing time is 12 hrs exact from now, except on Wed.   You are so right!!!!!!!  we tried to call the DOS  today at 8:29 am then less than a minute Im already talking to Cookie, the one who said that I should try to call next week since my file is not yet in the system. I just saw on the news that a shutdown will stop further processing of visa petitions...   yeah I heard that bad news!! after all the waiting and this thing will happen..this is  not fair. but lets hope for the best. U.S government shutdown in effect at 12:01 am ET Tuesday after US lawmakers could not agree on a spending bill.. sucks    hope this will not create so much delay... were near but yet so far! Some of my group who got RFE on Sept 19 still no movement.   so far, we havent received our NOA 2 notice of approval in the mail. we are waiting for it before calling the DOS and NVC. We are coming up on 4 weeks, which is only half of the alleged 8 week wait for the case number.    Thank you.. Actually my status last Sept. 20, was "my address was changed relating ..."  (the fact that we did not changed our address) then today Sept. 24, they have already forwarded my case to DOS. , so maybe Sept, 20, I was approved already so it takes 3 day to forward the case to DOS. I'm so happy May filers are really moving. It seems I'm the only one in this forum now stuck in RFE.
