Money gram is the best and cheaper than Western union by far. They have excellent services too.

Go to www.moneygram.com

I did a wire transfer from my bank to hers. It was secure, cheaper than Western Union but sounds like there are better ways.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCertificate of no impediment to marriage
My fiance and I will be getting married in Novosibirsk, Russia. She has asked me to send amoung other documents something that states that I can legally marry.
She has requested a certified copy of my divorce paperwork, which I already have but she is also asking me for the above document. I live in Tucson, Arizona. I don't know were to get this?

She wrote to me and said that she checked with the local registry office and they showed her some from other Americans in other states who got this document from the Dept of Public Health Services.
Calling this agency here is an excercise in frustration. Does anyone know what this document is called?

Any information would be appreciated.

thanks

Sergio

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHad K-1 visa, now married and filed K-3
I have a different twist to this question. My fiance want us to get married in Russia and then apply for a K3 visa. She is religious and want a wedding with all her relatives before she moves to the states.
I would rather she come on a K1 visa because I heard they are faster.
What if we marry in a church in Russia to satisfy her and apply for a K1 visa and marry in the US again.
Will that even work?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129F - where to submit

If you're like most of us, this will consume every conscious and unconscious thought that you have....

Accept it and you'll be fine....

I just submitted our 129F myself. This website was a great help. Not sure why anyone would need a high priced lawyer.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWedding before K1 visa is approved

Also, it's been discussed in every possible detail in this thread:

http://www.visajourn...h...&hl=wedding

Thanks everyone for your input. One last question. What if she does not say anything about the wedding during the interview?
How can they find out? Do they run any checks?

Has anyone heard of doing just the religious ceremony in the Russian Orthodox Church?

Thanks

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWedding before K1 visa is approved
Okay here is my question.
I just sent the K1 visa packet to the Laguna Niguel service center last month. I am returning back to Russia to visit my fiance in November. She wants to marry in Russia before she leaves her friends and family to come to the US. She is a very religious person so this is very important to her. Obviously the K1 visa will still be in the works in November. If we marry in Russia while the K1 is still working it way through, will this cause her problems at the interview? We still plan on marrying in the US to complete the process.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIs a lawyer necessary?

Translation:

I didn't use a lawyer and you shouldn't either = I'm willing to risk your future with my advice.

I did not use a lawyer and received the NOA2 today. I used the resources on this website. Checked everything multiple times. I also sent more information than needed. I had a cover letter explaining everything.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresReinstating an K1 Fiance Visa??
Can anyone give me some advice on re-instating a K1 fiance Visa. My fiance's approved application was at the Moscow Embassy ready to schedule her interview when her mother became very ill and we had to stop the process. I e-mailed the Moscow Embassy to stop the process. Now, everything is okay with her mother and we would like to continue with the process. I found out that the application is back with the US Immigration Service. I received a notice stating that the application is under review and they will notify me of their actions. What I am trying to do is tell them that:
1. I was the person who initiated that they stop the process.
2. Now, I want the process to continue.

What form or what steps do I take to do this? Calling the US Immigration is an excercise in frustration. The last person I talked to told me I would have to wait 4 months for their decision. I am trying to not have to start the process all over. I don't think it is too late but not sure what to do.
Help!!
