QUOTE (~Dream Love~ @ Aug 19 2008, 01:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
crying.gif I feel like just throwing in the towel right now! I mean I feel exhuasted and not sure if I can stay in this for the long haul. This is too hard! How did you all get through this? I feel like just telling my husband I want to stop everything. I actually just started but our anniversary is very soon and we've been married almost a year. We messed up in the beginning so we had to start from the top. I tell you I am losing my mind! I do not know what to do anymore to feel more relaxed about waiting. I am worried because I see others who have been waiting at VSC for months or a year now and I am stuck there. This is really worrying me. I love my husband don't get me wrong but I do not know if I can do this. Should I throw in the towel and move to Pakistan or should I just give up on us all together?

if he is worth it, you will wait. it doesnt sound good if you second guess youself about this. stop making it more difficult for yourself. try to stay busy and time will go by faster than you think

Hmm. If the name and case number are scribbled on top, that could be a slight problem. I guess it would be easy to photoshop it out or something. Ideally the embassy in Tokyo would fulfill my request, but if they do not, I guess we're stuck with getting the police certificate from a Japanese consulate in China.

I would send you a copy of my fiance's but she turned it in already.

I just have got to know I can change my address online now. My question is; are they going to send the letter to the new address that they have accepted and changed my address like before or it automatically does change my address and they are not gonna send any confirmation letter. Thanks.

They should send any new notifications to your new address. to be on the safe side, go to your post office, you can fill out a form to have any mail that goes to your old address mail box be foward to your new one.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFiling fee?
They seem to be raising the price on many of the services. They thought it would bring the demand down and lower the number of petitions, but there has been an increase because people think the prices will continue to rise. Since prices on everything are rising due to oil, I can see it now on the USCIS website... " all K-1 and K-3 visa add another $400. due to high oil demand"

It's all about the Benjamin's or YENjamins if you're from Japan

I've also, since my posting, read on other messages that you don't need to translate everything. I did...but it can't hurt, right?

Hey guys, we technically belong here since our NOA 1 date is June 30th yes.gif

One thing we are kinda frustrated about is trying to plan a date for the wedding. Since the whole process could take as little as 5 or as long as 8 months, how can you plan? Does anyone else have this problem? I mean of course we could wait til like the interview to start planning but its hard to plan a wedding in a short amout of time especially with making reservations, etc. And isn't it true that the visa is only good for 4 months from when the USCIS approves it? We want to get married ASAP but we don't want to set a date and then the visa not be ready by then. sad.gif

Well, we are going to get married quickly, so we are going to Vegas. Spend 4-5 nights there. Get all documents, ( you can get Marriage lisence and Marriage certificate and Married in 1 day) Then we will take a well deserved break for a year! Then the Next year, have a nice wedding with friends and family if she wants.

Depending where you live in the U.S., you can get cheap flights + Hotel rooms cheap if you buy together.

Whereever you planon getting married, check the requirements for that State. I checked for my Home State and I would need alot of paperwork and it would take a while to get marriage lisence and certificate. I checked for Vegas, and all we need is I.D. so We don't need to pack all our visa papers and records and what not. Good Luck!

Discouraged
Desperate
Depressed

I feel like I fight with myself every day! Not to fall down that hill! Why is this getting harder?
He's discouraged, Im depressed and we are getting desperate.

I know that we have so much this to look forward to.. but not knowing when is killing me. It is becoming increasingly
difficult to focus on the positives, to focus on the future, when we are so tired of being apart.

Weekends are the worst.
Im too busy with school during the week. (Im in my last year of nursing school- full time) and with the kids activities
to be depressd longer than it takes me to fall asleep.(ABOUT 3 seconds after my head hits th pillow)
But the weekends UGH .. they kill me.

So yes, I pathetically agree, that I want it to be Monday!

I think the best thing you can do is to STAY BUSY!!! Time will go by so much faster, and one day you will wake up to an NOA2 approval, and it will all be worth it. You do not have much longer to go. I think you will get your approval this month, (if VSC is still going at the same speed)

If you haven't already, start gathering the other papers you will need, get things ready so you can start as soon as you get your NOA2. Start planning what you are gonna do for your wedding and honeymoon. Talk to moving companies, most of them give free estimates on how much it will cost to move your stuff. Just try to stay busy.

Hello, thanks for asking....

well things are moving faster, my fiance received her information from the Embassy. It's confusing though. I read on the website, what papers she will get and what she needs to bring and turn in, and the site and instrustions in her packet are different. For one.. they sent her all instrustions in English, she is not 100% fluent in English,so there is a lot of translations over emails back and forth from me and her. The website said she would receive I-134, hospital paper work, police report paper work, and a list of things to bring with her, such as her passport and I.D. and police paperwork and I-134. Well I already sent her the completed I-134 a few weeks before, so I'm not worried about that, but there is paperwork she need to complete and bring to the interview that the website says nothing about. it says she needs to go to a computer and download and fill out DS-156, DS-156(K) DS-157, DS-2000. by looking at some of the document, I'm not sure she needs them, the DS-157 says: Required for all male applicants aged 16 to 45 and all applicants over age 16, male or female, who are citizens of or born in Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Sudan, or Syria. she is Femal from Japan only. but the instructions say to bring it so better be safe than sorry. She also received the DS-230 part 1, and she filled it out, but there is a part 2 also, that did not come with the packet, and the packet does not explain if she gets that when she arrives for the interview. Just some confusing stuff. I'm sure we will work through it. headbonk.gif

Are you keeoing yourself busy??? That is the worse thing..... not staying busy and waiting for all this to end.. good luck

It all depends on who receives the package and how fast they work. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresSimple question?

Dear Readers.
I forgot to ask. Do I need a special form for my police certificate ( police check). And where do I get this form? Is the form from NVC, or is it just a RCMP form which they would have. What do I bring to the local RCMP in New-Brunswick?( place in Canada for those who don't know) How much does it cost and how long does it take?
I would like to hear only good news concerning my question. No just joking. Anyone tell me like it is. It hasn't been easy so far, so it isn't going to be easy right to the end.
I wonder how many of us get into argument with spouse, because of high emotions? Did I say that. Lol.
Thanks to all with love.
Marie

most of the time you need your NOA2. I would call your police station first and ask them what paper you will need. Some police only need the NVC case #.
