United Kingdom	London 2012- K1s from NOA2 to interview thread	[*]Order your police certificate. It takes some preparation because you need a passport photo signed off on by somebody officialish who’s known you two years. Here’s the application. Read the instructions. A police certificate is good for 12 months. Must take it to medical exam. http://www.acpo.police.uk/documents/Application_Form.pdf I think that link is incorrect Nick or no longer works???? Anyway it should be from the ACRO site (ACPO Criminal Records Office) http://www.acro.poli...rtificates.aspx (word or pdf here) if your police certificate comes back showing "no live trace" or it is anything other than spotless then there are possibly 2 things that you need to do... 1) obtain a "subject access request". this will show what your police certificate doesnt and amongst other things, court convictions, police cautions / warnings, reprimands and Penalty Notice for Disorder. this is available through your local police force so check on their website for details on how to apply. it costs £10 and takes up to 40 days so if you need it then order it early. this can be very useful for finding out dates if they are unknown. 2) if you appeared in court then you might also need to obtain a "memorandum of conviction". this is the court report and is available from the clerk of the court you attended. im not sure of cost but i believe it can take up to 60 days to obtain, so again... if you need it then order it early. Links for, I believe, most UK police forces are here... http://www.acro.poli...ect_access.aspx There are 2 types of subject access, one from ACRO (criminal conviction history), the other your local police force (This will include information such as incident reports of calls, crime reports, statements etc). Congrats!! That's pretty quick. Normally spends a good week or so at the NVC so I'm guessing it was probably there around the 11th Yeah gotta be pleased with that. Last two posters, congrats! I feel I am a bit jealous of you VSC filers spending only 2 weeks waiting for NVC to receive your petitions. I'm currently on 3 weeks + 1 day. I've been looking back through K-1 applications that have received NoA2s It looks like there are a considerable amount of people who are still waiting from mid-may to have their petitions either a) delivered to NVC or b) released from NVC. So there are one of two options here. There is an intense amount of people waiting to hear from NVC or people have stopped updating their timelines. If it's the latter, I'm none too impressed. National Visa Center (Dept of State)	Getting NVC case number	Also, the USCIS operator was so friendly enough that he tried to educate me about this time-consuming process. He said that once the NVC received our file, they will send the USC petitioner a package and she'll have to send the package back and confirm that she still wants to file for me!! and then they will send it to the embassy! That's why it's taking additional processing time. I never heard of any K-1 petitioner getting a package from the NVC, so I tried to argue with him and make sure that he was not talking about CR-1 visa. He stood by his answer and I didn't want to bother arguing with him, so I just said "okay if you say so" *grab my popcorn" Different day, different answer. This is pretty amusing. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	DOS is frustrating	DOS does tend to be a lil behind whatever is happening in my experience, I'm sure you didn't mean they actually know nothing. I know you just want to read "approved" somewhere. They have requested his passport, what other reason would there be? Having said that you just need a lil more patience, they have only had his passport 4 working days. Even he had his interview on the 9th, he may not have had it back yet anyway. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Vermont - Fiance I129F Visa	My petition was received on November 22nd 2011. 51 I-129's were received that day at VSC. 4 were instantly rejected for unsigned forms, no check etc 14 are still at initial review (including mine) 11 have received RFE 22 have been approved, the first of these was on February 22nd 2012. I called 2 weeks later and another person told me to email VSC and ask them what is going on. She said that I would have to hear something in 21 days?? So then the immigration lawyer called and put in a service request. I then got an email back from an immigration officer quoting the original 60 day wait period! SO july 2nd it is...
