I know the interviews in Dubai say it takes up to 3 months, and from what I've seen NVC isn't working as quickly as USCIS so who knows. We were looking at a November timeline timeline on Igors list for the NOA2 so this was truly a suprise. Never never never give up cause it's coming!!! I told him no so he showed me his email and said what is this. I about fainted it was his NO2 then I thought he was pranking me. But, like my fiance says, we have to stay positive... so what if... indeed! Well, someone let me know that everything will be returned, including the check, if I didn't sign the form and that it would actually be better to have this and start over as opposed to an RFE.. they said the RFE would take longer than having to resubmit the entire packet. If they return the packet it will take about two weeks. So.. now I will just sit and hold my breath to see if the check clears. If it clears, then I know I signed the form. Nothing to do now but wait.. I had no idea an rfe took longer. I just thought that they send a request and you fulfill it the the processing continues, and you are still on the clock. If you are looking at the check on your online bank account print out the back of the check and run a yellow highlighter over the number that may help you. The biggest part to remember about the numbers is the following: [XAC] [YY] [DDD] 5 [xxxx] So: WAC 09 252 5 0000 The first is the center: WAC (California) or EAC (Vermont) depending on where you filed. The second is the fiscal year, which until October 1st, is still 09. The third set is the working day. October 1st 2008 = 001. October 30 2008 = 022 (or 021 depending on whether Columbus Day counts as a holiday). And the final four is your actual like case number. Knowing that, it made it a little easier to decipher the numbers on the back of my check. Maybe that'll help. Wow wished we'd known that cause that would've helped too. Thanks!!! I finally printed out the check and went over it with a yellow highlighter (Trick I learned a long time ago in my programming classes) figured out what it was and typed it into the USCIS website. I must say I'm not an actual filer; I'm a mom of a filer. My 26 year old son has fallen in love with a wonder Iranian girl. The entire family (his and hers) are cheering them both on, and this is my way of learning and helping the beautiful young couple with this process. The attorney sent the package in on August 27th, and Fedex claimed delivery on the 28th. Unfortunately, as of now the check has not been cashed. So we are all waiting to start waiting. Middle East and North Africa	A few cultural questions	We found the bidet at the Mediterranean halal grocery store. It cost about $35.00 and my husband hooked it up to the toilet. The water is a little cold for me so next time we'll try to invest in one with the thermostat for temp control.
