US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Packet 3.5 Email from US Consulate Islamabad	Hello everyone, This morning the US Consulate sent the packet 3.5 via email. I am in the process of helping my fiancee complete the required documents. I used my parents address on the I-129F petition since I live in an apartment, and the mail is easily lost at the apartment complex. Most of my company letters such as health insurance claims / 401K statements all go to my parents address. MY W2s and tax returns has my apartment address in TX. My DL is from TX too. The question I have is should I continue to use my parents address for the remainder of paper work and state that my fiancee will be living at the address of my parents or should I use my apartment address in TX? and include a copy of my driver license and SSN card just in case? The reasoning for using my parents address as permanent address is for mailing purposes.... I have the following paperwork in PDF format for my fiancee, 2010 Tax returns 2008,2009 and 2010 W2's Letter of employment from my Manager on company head PDF copies of current paycheck stubs PDF copy of my divorce decree I-134 form financial support Letter of intent to Marry with current date Ongoing relationship proof such as Western Union Money Transfer Slip, AT&T cell phone records, Emails, Gift receipts sent to her, I was looking over the DS156 / DS156K / DS230 / DS157 forms of what information I need to send fiancee electronically until the hard copy of the entire I-129F package and correspondence arrives at her residence over the next week or so. I called DOS, and been told that it could take a while before an interview date is issued, as the consulate has to do their paper work, processing which could take some time.... I was under an impression of seeing an interview date shortly within a few weeks of all documents received at US Consulate including replies to the packet 3.... Is it true that my fiancee' would be waiting for some time before an interview date is given to her? Plus next week the US consulate will be closed from August 30th thru the holiday weekend..... Okay so I have been in touch with US Consulate Islamabad, and the latest email received from them stated "We can only work on your case after your documentation is recieved".... I don't get it... the Packet 3.5 items were sent to the consulate via American Express Bank on August 16th. Per the DOS and NVC the hard copy of our I-129F was sent via DHL... and arrived the weekend of August 13th. I attempted to call the US Consulate to inquire the status of my fiancee pending packet 4 and potential interview date. I supplied the American Express Bank receipt number of ISB13XXXX to the US Consulate, including the ISL case number assigned to our file as well. There has been no TCS / FEDEX packages sent to my fiancee residence nor American Express Bank has any details other than paper work was dropped at the Consulate as planned. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Still no interview date for K1 from ISB Consulate	Okay so I called the US Consulate early morning for 3 hrs, each time the operator asked me to call back anywhere after between 5-30 minutes... so between 0230-0530 I played calling the consulate game, and yet did not get any where.... It is frustrating not knowing how long it will take for packet 4 to arrive..and when the interview date will be given to my fiancee'. We called AMEX Bank this morning, and they've had no information from the consulate either... The paperwork from NVC arrived the week of August 15th... and Packet 3 response was delivered on August 17th... US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Birth Certificate at interview	My fiance went to the NADRA office, and they told her "they no longer issue birth certificates, and that she will have to travel from Islamabad to Karachi, as her birth was registered in Karachi...."... She has the following documents attested thru Home ministry, Form B Domicile Document Airforce Headquarter letter of birth NADRA Family Tree Card.... .... The interview is on October 4th, and I'm trying to figure out an alternative to avoid delay beyond interview... Anyone experienced the same as we are this moment? If NADRA indeed is able to issue a birth certificate, how long it takes, and where can she go to get it done? I know there has to be someone on this site, who's been thru the K1 interview and dealt with birth certificate as part of items listed on interview letter... Well this could be a slight issue because she has readily available a Domicle Certificate and letter from air force head quarters stating her name, parents name, date of birth, place of birth etx... and she also has the B-Form with all sibling and parents information... The CO kept her passport and said that she could collect it from AMEX in approx 14 days. I know it has not been 14 days yet, just curious and wondering does it take the full 2 week time frame or should she attempt to contact AMEX to verify arrival of passport from the consulate. K1 VISA approved (INSIDE story from ISLAMABAD)	My fiance sent in her packet 3.5 on August 16th via American express, and till today's date we have not heard back from the consulate acknowledging receipt of our documents. It is impossible to reach someone whom can answer the status of my fiancee' packet 4, and the reasoning of such delay. I have called DOS and they show no information being loaded by US Consulate pertained to packet 3.5. I am unable to get an email response either from the US Consulate with any information pertained to packet 4 status... We have called American Express, and they have no information either other than saying documents were delivered to the Embassy on August 17th. IF anyone is kind enough to point us in the right direction, please reply to me. I am praying that our loved ones remain safe and protected during the waiting phase of our life. MY fiance approved petition went straight to the US Consulate from VSC per the Letter of approval dated July 25th, 2011. I used the example shown in this thread, and it reflected a package departed Boston, MA for Islamabad Pakistan.... I DID CALL THE NVC OPERATOR AND THEY TOLD ME THAT ALL PETITIONS DO NOT COME THRU THEIR OFFICE. US Citizenship General Discussion	Citizenship application	If your wife has a 2 year green card, she has to apply for removal of conditions within 90 days from the expiration date. When you have 3 years of residency minus 90 days (the resident since date on the green card) then you can apply for citizenship. Oh by the way please remember that you have to be living in the current are of the local office of USCIS for at least 3 months. If you have to move soon or something please do not apply now because you will throw 680 dollars in the drain. Good luck.  Hello Silkafi88,  Thanks for the info on the removal of conditions. This means that we would be applying for the removal of conditions N751 and N-400 simultaneously. The green card expires October 2014. I am a US Citizen, and was curious to know how far in advance should my wife apply for the Citizenship considering her green card will expire over the next few months. We got married in December of 2011, and this December it will be exactly 3 years. My wife was given a 2 year green card. How many forms must be submitted with the package? 1 or 4 each? Is the form information pertaining to me or my fiance (for whom I am submitting the paperwork)... I called DHL and they're like it could take upto 30 days for custom clearance... BS.... My fiance had used FEDEX a couple times without any problems the packages were in my hand as promised in 4-5 days.... First time dealing with DHL and I'm fed up as the package been in OHIO since Sunday and still not cleared... I am well established in the USA like many of us on this site. I will be sending off the K1 package this week and there are still a few unknowns to be cleared,,,, 1) The G325A form ~ I have 1 form filled out with all my information on the form and signed too 2) The Fiance G325A Form - Form will be in her name with all her information and submitted without the original signature as she is overseas. 3) The letter of intent (From my side being the US born citizen) signed and dated will be sent with the package to USCIS 4) Now do I need to submit a letter from my fiance side with the package identical to mine, and swap names around... with exception of a ink signature (Will a PDF Version of her signature work on the letter from her side) 5) I have printed 6-10 pictures 6) Shall I send in the copy of my Fiance J1 Visa? She returned back to Pakistan prior to her visa expiring. She worked for the State Department of USA under the full bright program. We have been engaged for a while now and this distance is unbearable at times. A few questions for the members out there, 1) My fiance can get a visitor visa and come back to the USA in no time... (I have a total of 20 pictures, several with us together, then with family members, like parents and siblings and group photos) ~ SHOULD I INCLUDE ALL 20 PICTURES, OR JUST THE ONES WITH MYSELF AND FIANCE ALONE. 12) A Money order for the correct amount 13) The G-325A Form FOR MYSELF, SIGNED AND DATED 14) The G-325A Form for Fiance, Signed and Dated 15) On the I-129F form there is a section referring to native language usage( IS this section to be filled out in the foreign language, or could it be filled out as None) 16) I live in an apartment and as with the USCIS documents being very important, Could I use my parents address for the mailing purposes.... On the I-129F form I have filled out my parents address, and then shown the apartment address of where my fiance will live upon arrival... 17) On the G-325A form (Filled out with my information),, the last 5 residential address given is the current apartment address, the last 2 addresses... I am curious if I shall show my parents address as I do get mail there as well, such as my 401K documents, medical insurance statements, financial aid documents,,, 18) The Email notification form... Lately it has been a draw of luck with NOA2 being sent to Jan and Feb filers. I'm a US Citizen by birth and my fiancee was in the USA for a year and left prior to her visa expiring. Curious if I could contact the USCIS hotline and place a service request for an expedite due to the bomb blastings in Pakistan taking place on a daily basis. As I know everyone have been waiting for their NOA2 for a while now... but honestly it is not fair that we as US Citizens are kept apart from our soon to be wife longer than the processing time posted on uscis.gov website of 5 months.
