IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Canadian with American spouse - no need for criminal check??	We submitted an I-130 in Nov. 2012 which was moved to the NVC and have filed electronically. We are at the stage where they have sent an email requesting original documents (birth certificates, marriage cert...etc), on their web page it also asks for a Criminal Record Check, but the letter from them does not request it.
