US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	k1 interview drug question	I've been wondering this myself. My fiance' used to smoke pot (but never did any "hard" drug) when he was a teenager. He hasn't done it in like 8 years though and now he doesn't even smoke cigarettes and he rarely drinks liquor, so I'm wondering if they will hold his silly teenaged pot-usage against him, or if it won't count since he was under 18 at last usage. I have a feeling that they will care more about whether the person looks like s/he currently abuses drugs (i.e. track marks on the arms, loads of chemicals in the blood, seeming high or recently high during the exam, etc.) I'm sure your fiance' doesn't look like a junkie, so try not to worry. He should answer all questions honestly though since if they find traces of anything in his blood (since many drugs are detectable for years afterward), and he says he's never done anything, it'll make trouble.
