there's a process with the USTRIP office. You _can_ get fixed there.

sorry, is USVisit system that has munged your data, not USTRIP, my bad.

However, the office was re-organzed in March of this year
see
http://www.dhs.gov/obim

Regardless, they hold yer data now, even it's wrong, but they can correct it.

I'll do some searching here for ya - someone recently had their record fixed.

US Citizenship General DiscussionWrong "ATTN" in USPS priority
should you need to do this again:
1. make an account at usps.com
2. buy the postage and label you need, print it out, tape/glue it to yer package. you'll get a discount and tracking is free when you buy online.

Sorry, usps clerks are stupid sometimes. As to where your packet will go - it'll certainly go to the AOS section first, and if'n yer lucky, some bright-boy will reroute it to the proper office.

I say wait a month before making a new submittal, not cancel yer check till then.

US Citizenship General DiscussionN-400 denial because of immigration error!!!

if this was the first date on your first card -

4.20.2011

Then you (yes, you) have a calendar math problem and should be filing on or around 2/20/2014.

Regardless of the mistake, the date printed on the card is the governing date.

DarnellMaleChina2013-09-24 14:20:00
US Citizenship General DiscussionN-400 denial because of immigration error!!!

ok - then study your first green card.

give us the first date on the first green card.

US Citizenship General DiscussionN-400 denial because of immigration error!!!

ok my first greencard it says resident 4.20.10,expires 4.20.12

ooh typo on my posst not 2011, I had my interview 4.20.10,just found this card and that's the date on it.thanks wuham

then something is wrong, with USCIS office where you have yer citizenship stuff.

If 4.20.2010 is the actual, real date of issuance,

then you need to chase this down,

as

you applied properly, for the 3 year window.

I'll reread your post again, sometime today..

US Citizenship General DiscussionN-400 denial because of immigration error!!!

I think there's another option.  Give me a bit o time to think about it.

It will involve the USCIS Ombudsman's office, so read up a bit on how to interact with the Ombudsman's office.

US Citizenship General DiscussionAny one experienced a similar situation?
This is such a life-changing event,
so I suggest you travel, leave yer domicile, 3 days in advance,
with snow chains in the trunk, or snow tires mounted,
2 10 gallon jugs of gas in the trunk,
snowshoes in the trunk,
heavy duty supercold winter garmets,
and 1000 in cash to pay for any emergencies and overnight hotels.

and, when you get to the city, get a hotel within walking distance of the USCIS office.

Also a great idea to purchase AAA yearly trip-assistance, at the HIGHEST LEVEL, in case you need to be towed.

Failing all that, I'd seek a bus, leave the day before the interview, first thing in the morning.

you could always go in to a local USCIS office on an infopass appointment and ask directly. Bring all of your papers, and listen to what they tell you.

see http://infopass.uscis.gov for getting an appointment.

That's a great question.  Since it's fee based, the thing yer applying for, I say go in, anyway.

US Citizenship General DiscussionWhen exactly is my citizenship filing date?

grab yer first green card .

Study it.

take the earliest date.

Go forward 3 years - 90 days

that's the earliest you can file.

US Citizenship General DiscussionNo response to N400 aplication

hi! call into uscis, get an ISO, a Tier 2 Human,

then

ask - 'Do you have any returned mail pieces on me?'

If yes, go over the address (again) and ask them to send that stuff out to you.

DarnellMaleChina2013-08-21 18:35:00
US Citizenship General DiscussionNo response to N400 aplication

That is frustrating. But what confuses me is that when I went to infopass, the officer told me that all those background checks and everything related is there. There was even a note on my file saying to send me the interview letter. Is it possible that they decided to stop me suddenly? Or the case is simply being overlooked?!!  I do not know that...

So, after checking with the USCIS call center, affirming there are no 'returned mail pieces' on you with an ISO, yer ready to 'go on' to the next step, right?

At this juncture, getting into the local office, and talking with the floor supervisor, engaging said floor supervisor to talk with the OTHER supervisor in charge of yer case, will be the best path for you.

Go Get Em, and Good Luck !

maybe they'll get caught the next time, coming in to a POE,

but

if they want USCitizenship, then they must meet the 'physical presence' requirements.

They've not done that.  Still, it's not a bad thing going forward,

if, and only if,

they stay in the USA in the future, continuous physical presence, without leaving the USA,

to match the physical presence rules.

Otherwise?  Sorry, no path to Citizenship.

ya, the way I regurgitate it, is:

2. study the first green card issued.

3. find the first date on the first green card and then

4. do some calendar math.
