Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFiled in June 2012 from Overseas on Government Orders

When you call again, ask for an ISO, and go over all this stuff with the ISO ,

and do start a service request/referral with said ISO.

uh oh.

ISO -  http://www.dhs.gov/f...5658440339.shtm

Is always best to get with an ISO when there are any problems, any issues,

as

the first human that answers the phone, a CSR, cannot fix things, cannot do research, cannot request stuff.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionUSPS lost greencard

Hey what does it say under the "Status of your item"? ours was just updated to Processed through USPS Sort Facility at our current city. So It means its at our locla post office, they just need to deliver it.

sort facility is a big processing center.

Usually - on 2 legs of the trip, it goes to a sort facility -
one close to the shipper
and
one close to the receiver.

If that sort facility listed is nearby to you, then the next transit point is the local usps office, then 'out for delivery' or something similar, meaning finally it got on the delivery van/truck.

your first greencard has a date on it on or around 2010-07-15 -

so if you are eligible , why not file for USCitizenship in the 90 day window prior to 2013-07-15 ??

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionShould I be worried?
OK - back to the OP -

when you call into USCIS, get a Tier 2 Human™, an ISO,
and ask specifically:

1. do you have any returned postal mail pieces on me? (if yes)
2. go over the address with the Tier 2 human, giving over the correct address (and then)
3. ask for the returned postal mail pieces to be sent to you at the address given over in #2.

Sure, it may be that you don't have any returned mail pieces, but it you do?

That's a sure-fire way to learn about it (that telephone call).

Good Luck !

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionReview of Evidence
if the school transcripts SHOW that common address, is ok la.

That's sorta strange about the utility bills, you betcha.

For future reference? When making a joint account, is quite possible (with the bank) to set limits, - where only one person can handle up to a certain amount WITHOUT the approval of the 2nd person - so if limit to 20 bucks solo, for example, he's only spending 20 bucks at a time without yer legal consent.

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussiongot GC-got Divorce-wanna change SNN only not GC

Oh I forgot to mentioned that on my divorce decree, I put my maiden name.
It has the section where it says that i will resume my maiden name. And shall be known as Ms. (first name ) (maiden name).

IMO, if you show that to a supervisor at SSA office, that should be enough to facilitate them changing it, as it IS a court order showing the change.

so prep (you) the 1040x form (choosing married filing jointly) for the years that he did this,
and show him the refund amounts..

he should then see the merit of signing his name.

and you'll have some new relationship fodder to use as evidence.

Money, IMO, is the best bribe, ever.

i say never check with a tax professional, and instead, do your own research, practice filling out the forms.

Why? One learns more, when it's one's own pencil and paper.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionTrouble getting tax account transcripts from IRS
i had trouble online due to addresses. plural... I have multiple properties, multiple addresses so it's a hassle each year to remind the IRS which is actually my primary residence (as all 4 are, depending on the time of year) . each time i'd receive a payment or make a payment, tied to any of my addresses, the current, actual address was used, but

somehow the IRS updates their system on me, each time, to show the 'last used' address as my current address, and that's never the real-time , correct thing.

what i have done is get into an IRS office and got them in person, face to face.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionDivorce after lifting of conditions
have trouble? no.

Now that you are seeking another marriage with a USCitizen - and you were successful in ROC with a divorce afterwards, USCIS doesn't care about anything else until and unless you apply for USCitizenship.

Good Luck with this next step (marrying another USCitizen)..

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionA complicated situation re. I-751 and being out of the country. Please help.
the receipt notice, I-797C, contains the paragraph about extending yer current green card.

You need to chase that down.

Usually, when calling into USCIS, getting an ISO (a Tier 2 Human™), you can ask them if they have any returned postal mail pieces on you.

If they do, they'll tell you.

The fact you got the biometrics appointment letter ONLY, is worrisome, as the receipt notice comes first.

So, suss out that receipt notice with an ISO, suss out returned postal mail pieces, and let us know what's what?

In the end, that receipt notice has to get into yer hands for boarding a plane outside the USA - but once yer at a USA POE, a CBP fella will find you in the computer WITHOUT the need for showing that receipt notice.

Go Get Em !

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionQuestion on RFE - Joint finances for evidence of good faith marriage
quickest way? walk them into an IRS office (4 copies each), and get the clerk to put the official IRS stamp on 3 of the copies, giving the 4th to the human.

Then take one of the stamped copies that you have, send off to the RFE response address.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionQuestion on RFE - Joint finances for evidence of good faith marriage
re: prior years without a SSN - Won't matter, when sending out the amended returns.

Might want to prep a letter for the IRS as well, stating that the two of you elect for her to be treated as a resident alien for tax purposes for those filing years, and study the F2555 form and it's instructions - see if it will apply to her (or not) .

Good Luck !

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionCR-2 visa filing question

Markieboy - Yeah, I'll try contacting them on Monday, but I do hope I can file my conditional removal there so I won't have to go back and forth, airfare is so expensive :(

Navyk - I do remember having my fingerprints and photograph taken there, but I am not sure if its the same they use.

Anyways thanks guys, and I will let you know if there is any update on my situation so it can be of help to others. Good day! :)

you should plan better, really.

What's up ? Lack of planning, proper planning, is going to bite you in the @ss. Any other adults that you can talk to, in your area?

no la - they won't talk to you, it's her greencard.

Come on - she can use telephone, inquire for casefile status, easy peasy, aye?

Suggest to make flashcards , and practice with her, if you think it's useful.

It's very easy to talk to human at USCIS - just dial the #, touch nothing else on the keypad, wait about 4 to 6 minutes, then BOOM - a human comes on, starts talking in spanish. When the human unwinds, comes to a stop, say 'English Please' and ask for casefile status and when the card is being mailed out.
