This is one problem I find with the discussion of religion: Everyone believes their religion has the answer.

An example: "The Qur'an/Bible clearly states that __insert info here__." Well the problem is, not everyone reads the same holy book, belongs to the same religion or trusts in some of the sources for that information.

The Bible does clearly states that Jesus was crucified.

The Qur'an clearly states that Jesus was NOT crucified.

So where do we find out information? Where can we get the truth? I mean... putting religious beliefs aside is there such a source of information?

It's frustrating. mad.gif

ur right it is hard i guess the best we can do is listen to what others say and research and find what we feel ourself is the right way yup sounds odd coming from a muslim, but i think each person had to make the choice them self religion can not be forced
sara

I believe that GOD is very personal and knowing. He speaks to me and I read His Word and pray(speak) to Him. Its a personal relationship I have with my LORD. I would suggest that you start by searching for Truth and ask GOD to reveal Himself to you.
I do agree that each person has to make a choice for themselves and that religion can not and should not be forced, even though alot of times in all religious circumstances it is. I am not a religious person, I am a Christian woman that has a relationship with my GOD.

It's not about a religion. It's all about a relationship. Pray. Ask God to reveal to you the truth. God is not the author of confusion...the advisary is.

The entire Bible was written under the careful guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit .

Because He is part of the Trinity, let's just say he's always been around.

I don't believe it is flawed. If men changed things around that would indeed make God a liar. Free will or not, God always has the final say.

I think it has a lot to do with tradition. I actually love the Catholics ( they believe in miracles and Christ crucified), although myself, I could never wrap my head around the idea of praying to Saints or the Blessed Mother. There is no Biblical foundation for that and it certainly is not mentioned anywhere in the Scriptures.

Good Morning....

..it feels like a Monday.

Amanda, it's normal to have bouts of the blues when going through this process. You can cry with me anytime, girlfriend. I completely understand.

Everyone else, enjoy the day!

It's called being human. Nothing is wrong with you. This process does things to a person, the separation, the whole ball of wax. Factor in you are a woman with hormones. Everything will fall into its proper place in it's proper time, but meanwhile don't beat yourself over the head and think what you are going through is abnormal or that you think it is you with a so-called problem. It happens to the best of us no matter how strong we may think we are. If we never have these feelings, we wouldn't need God.
As for prayers....I will pray right now.

Amanda, I have lived with depression my entire life, but that's another long story in itself. You are on the right path by pressing in and looking to the 0ne who can see you through .
If I stop and think about it, I am highly blessed ( although at times it doesn't look or feel that way ). I prayed that you will be filled with complete peace and that God restore your joy back that you once had.
A true story that may help you.....Remember when Jesus was in the boat and a huge storm started up and the boat was being thrashed about on the water? Everyone was afraid, terrified! Where was Jesus? Asleep! They woke him up frantic, wanting him to be as afraid as they were. But he wasn't. He simple got up and spoke to the storm. You are not alone in the boat. I'll let you think about that one. smile.gif

Happy Caturday!

Good Morning Rosie, Charles, Mah, and Melly!

I woke up thinking about 0livia, strange I read about her in Melly's post. At least I know she's alright and with her husband after such a long absence.

I still have the issue with ' running ', although I don't know why because I have not ate a bite in 6 days.

Have a great Holiday Weekend, all!

Good Morning Everyone!

Well, my fever is down to 100, but I got terrible 'runs' . The body aches seem less, but my husband is getting paranoid that I have the Swine flu. Good Lord!
Is looks like a nice day out again , so maybe I can get outside.
As far a cooking out, I asked my husband if he would be interested in grilling, and he was just clueless as to what that was. 0i!
Bridget, I really hope you are on the mend today! What are your plans for the weekend?

Everyone else, have a really great day!

Good Morning!

Yup, I got some sleep, but not nearly enough. Yesterday I was sick, which by the way Maureen, that was not my vormit cos I didn't go anywhere. I still feel like crappo.

Amanda, that's the spirit! Stay focused and when you find yourself feeling a bit discouraged, ask God for that extra measure of faith.

Melly, I guess this is an all out war with the skeeders. There just has to be something that you can do to eradicate them.
