Okay VJ.

I started smoking again.

I bought a pack this morning, it's been two years since I have really smoked. I need to quit before a) my son returns and b.) my husband finds out.

I know it's only been a day but already I have smoked half a pack... a stinky, smelly, 20 cigarette filled Americana pack.

And then I am on my balcony like some naughty kid trying to be all conspicuous and my son's friends are like: "HI!!..." then I can hear them going: "She's smoking!"

Great my son is going to return home to his friends telling him that I was smoking and me denying it all. What can I do? I can't lie.. yes i had one Ethan... what's my excuse? I don't have one.

No one really looks at cigarettes like a real addiction but it is.

Remember I went through this a few months ago but I threw the pack away. But I can't let go of these ones.

I just needed to get that off my chest. But oh man... oh man a cigarette and a cinnamon dolce latte from starbucks sure does go good together. <3

keep in mind that smoking helps fund health care for the needy children. have a heart, and smoke - for the children's sake!

carla, this sounds like a new version of the pave your driveway scam. keep track of the hours they work as i expect the bill they try to give you will be higher than you expected.
they should provide all of the tools they need, along with garbage bags.

I've never heard of the "pave your driveway scam"? I have been keeping track of their hours, and we are in agreement thus far on how many hours they've worked. The problem is, so far, they've worked 10 hours, which is fine, as she said it would take them 8-10, and we thought 10 was fine, however because they didn't cut the sod in those two places (not our fault!), they have to come back and now she wants to charge us the labour for that. She didn't give us a "I will have this done in 8-10 hours), she gave us a "this should be done in approximately 8-10 hours", and that's what she signed. However by the time it's done, it will have been maybe 12 or 13 hours. And we did agree to an hourly rate, so this is where I'm having some problems...well, that and having to tell her and have her YELL at me. laughing.gif Of course they should have used their own tools, but they didn't have any...I couldn't refuse to let them use ours. lol They did go buy the bags from Lowe's and didn't provide me a reciept, but now you got me thinking that maybe she will? sad.gif

Colt Anaconda .44 Magnum with a 8" stainless steel barrel and 340 gr Buffalo Bore ammo will drop just about anything at 150-300 yds, too bad it's not in production anymore. Daewoo makes guns, I never heard of them but I guess if they make cars and BSA was Birmingham Small Arms before they started making motorcycles, so why not. I seriously thought that you were going to surprise me and say that you had a MacMillan Tactical 50 with a few cases of .50 BMG ammo just in case someone tries to break into your house from 2000 yds away. devil.gif BTW, colt makes more than .45s these days, but they don't make the Dragoon they gave you when you joined the service. laughing.gif

I certainly hope it does. Is your 1903a3 a Smith-Corona or a Remington? If I recall correctly it was a redesign of the old Springfield rifle they used in WWI, it stayed in use until Vietnam. Speaking of barrel length, a musket also has a rather lengthy barrel. laughing.gif Of course, if your last name is Hathcock, it doesn't matter what you shoot. In close quarters I'd go with a shotgun or even a snub-nose .38 depending on the situation. Use Glaser Safety Slugs since they act like shotgun shells on impact. If you find an elephant in your pajamas then anything less than an express rifle (Ruger No. 1 or similar) isn't going to do the job. What's the barrel length on a 16" naval gun anyways? laughing.gif

Only if you had brothers named Harpo, Zeppo and Chico. laughing.gif

Here's the funny thing about the gun tube, my arm wouldn't fit inside, the tube isn't big enough. It is huge and the shell weighs more than most compact cars but my arm wouldn't fit inside. Iowas are so beloved by the USN that they won't get rid of them. The top speed for Iowa-class battleships is 33 knots, which is pretty fast for a ship that weighs (displaces) 45000 tons (40742 tonnes). Both the HMS Hood and the Bismarck were larger ships. The Yamato was much bigger, it had nine 18" guns and displaced 71000 tonnes but all this leads to the question, how many of these naval guns is Charles going to install in his house. laughing.gif

bismark (and sister tirpitz) had 14" guns, and only mounted 8 (2x4) versus the 9 (3x3) of the iowa class....yamato and musashi (sister ship) were the largest battleships made (and largest guns mounted). the montana class (planned but not built) was gonna rival the yamato class.
(and yes, that's from memory).

OK you know what really annoys me.... all the erectile dysfunction ads on TV. They are on at all hours of the day, every day. They are SO annoying! I think any man with ED knows what drugs you can get if you have that problem. Enough of the damn ads! Then I get them in my e-mail box too, I am soooo tired of hearing about "if you have an erection lasting 4 hours or longer contact your doctor" NO REALLY!???!

i would think the guy's wife would be calling 911 after 4 hours whistling.gif

He he he, well, I still have mine stored over at my parents house. But alas, my baseball cards are virtually worthless now. The baseball players of my generation are all cheaters. I had it appraised at one point it was about $20k, but now, i'd be lucky to get $5 for it. Stupid Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire and Jose Canseco... fcking cheaters cost me money! mad.gif

Rant time!

I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE getting forwarded spam emails. I just got one from my dad's wife (I refuse to call her my stepmother) about how to protect yourself from being raped and she says in the email that any time she sees it, she'll immediately forward it because of how good the information is. It has statements suggesting that a rapist will choose you based on your hairstyle, your clothing, etc, and then goes on to list how to protect yourself.

Being who I am, I headed on over to Snopes ( luv.gif ). Of course, it's an email full of BS (as I personally know, but won't get into).

My first instinct is to send her the snopes link, but I really don't want to piss my dad off.

Grr.

You could always put her emails in the "spam" folder and most email services or clients will just start automatically placing her emails in that folder whistling.gif

or just sign her email up for some interesting emails...... whistling.gif
