This cruise ship story is seriously the best thing I have read in a long time. I find it absolutely hilarious they're eating Spam sandwiches and Poptarts that are being airlifted to them.

No one is hurt so it's fine! They've had to rough it for 3 days but have stories to tell people for a lifetime. I just find the entire story really funny... "They've had to live for three days without a hot shower, a hot meal, or air conditioning!"

NO AIR CONDITIONING!? :o

GET OUT!!! :o

no hot shower, hot meal, or air conditioning? they better not ever join the military!

The good news is that the calico stray cat who showed up in our yard early November and who I have been keeping in the garage overnight because she was obviously an indoor cat and not used to being outdoors - and who was probably abandoned by her owners when they moved away - has a really nice new home and a name! Ginger was taken to join 2 small dogs as the only cat by a really nice guy referred by my vet - his own kitty had recently died and he was missing a kitty cat to snuggle. I am so pleased!

The sad news is that my 17 year old cat Tristan is dying. A little over 2 weeks ago he started to regurgitate food. I figured it was his kidneys getting worse and took him into the vets. It turns out his kidneys are doing fine - but he has a tumour in his throat :( . It is constricting his esophagus and his trachea and slowly making it impossible for him to eat. He also had pulmonary edema, fluid through out his chest and was having a hard time breathing. We put him on diuretics to deal with the fluid and I took him home. That Saturday he stopped being able to eat so I started to syringe feed him pureed food every three hours. By Wednesday - less than a week after his diagnosis he appeared to be going down hill very quickly. I honestly didn't expect him to last overnight.

On the same Wednesday, I received a new herbal medication I had ordered in - a palliative liquid that is supposed to help keep cats dealing with cancer comfortable and out of pain. It had good reviews but I wondered if I had started him on it too late. Remarkably, he definitely improved the next day. He is alert, and aware, still very weak and unable to eat but looks like he is feeling better and more comfortable. He isn't able to keep down meat or catfood, but he is able to keep down yogurt, so I have been spoonfeeding him Activia vanilla yogurt ever since. He was originally able to get enough daily calories from the yogurt (about 300) but he is eating less and less now and is down to about half of that . He is beginning to have problems even swallowing that . He is still bright eyed and relatively interested in what is going on around him, and purring when I pet him, though, and even though he spends a lot of time sleeping, he still rotates through the different cat beds at different times in the day, or sleeps on the couch, and joins us on the bed at night.

Still, it is only a matter of time. The vet thought it would be days but he has already outlasted her prognosis. I am letting him set the pace. As long as he isn't in distress and uncomfortable I will keep on with what we are doing. When he starts being in pain or distress, though, then yes, I will take him into the vet.

It's tough. He is my eldest cat, and I find that I don't have much patience for anything else these days although I have stopped crying every day. I don't know when it will happen but it really is just a matter of days. Poor Tristan :(.

CanadaWhat are my options?
one judgmental post removed along with 2 quoting, one post returned below minus the quote.

Your response is a bit offensive. Why so judgemental on how people spend their money? And, honestly, I've been to many 10+ weddings with 300+ people. I had a large wedding myself with a large focus on really good food and top shelf liquor for 200 of my closest family and friends (and believe me that was a condensed list). In some cultures and in some families this is a normal thing and some people are okay with spending thousands of dollars on this type of event. What does it matter how much money someone makes and how they chose to spend it?

I don't judge people for having a small wedding or for having a cash bar or not having a wedding at all. Weddings and celebrations have different values and meanings to different people. It's something I chose to spend money on but recognize that not everyone would!

Meet the world's top World of Warcraft player

That's an unofficial title, though I think it's pretty safe to say that "Little Gray" has played more Warcraft than you. A lot more.

Courtesy of Gamepro comes word of the Taiwanese player's absolutely insane Warcraft accomplishments. In addition to having nabbed every single one of the game's achievements (minus a brand new one that cropped up in the game's latest patch), he's the first player to complete all 986 tasks listed in the game's Armory. Considering that over 11.5 million people play the game worldwide, that's one heck of an honor.

And that's just the tip of this online gaming iceberg. Playing as a Tauren Druid, Little Gray has racked up some staggering numbers: he's completed nearly 6,000 quests at the rate of about 14.5 per day and killed nearly 500,000 enemies while dying only 8,543 times himself.

How? By doling out an awe-inspiring 7,255,538,878 points of damage...but before you label him some sort of mindless brute, know that he at least had the heart to heal 1,377,435,762 points of that back. Unsurprisingly, he's also a bit of a loner, having "waved" at other players only once.

If it's tough to put these massive numbers into a real-world context, consider this: a member of our Yahoo! Games team (who will remain unnamed) once logged an average of six hours a day playing the game over the course of a year -- and never came close to achieving so much with his character.

We could hazard a few guesses, though. At 14.5 quests per day, it would take about 414 days to reach Little Gray's 6,000 quest mark. Speaking conservatively, a veteran Warcarft player can pretty handily knock out three quests in an hour, which would mean about five hours a day for Little Gray.

But that's just for quests. You do a LOT more than that in Warcraft, such as going on raids, engaging in player vs. player combat, and tinkering with your abilities and gear. It wouldn't be even remotely surprising to find out that Little Gray has spent in upwards of ten hours a day playing the game.

CanadaImporting US Vehicle to Canada

It's been awhile since I have read import information on vehicles from Canada to the US (or vice versa)

Any one have any helpful tips or explanation of the process? Thanks!

Posted Image long time no see!

Yep. Got on the phone to Nissan this morning and hopefully will have it in the mail soon.

So I have to own the vehicle? We are about 4-5 months away from paying off our car loan. The car has to stay in the US until it's paid off?

that's usually a requirement by the bank on the loan. it makes it more difficult for them to repo if someone stopped paying, it being in a different country and all.

CanadaHusband owns House... should my name be on Deed?
having your name on the deed may require a letter from the mortgage company - i went through the same fiasco with citimortgage.
they would allow the wife´s name on the mortgage, if i refinanced....i think citimortgage is another language meaning ´gouge them for all the money you can´
solution to it - did a transfer on death deed and filed it at the local courthouse, thus if i do pass away before it´s paid for, the house is hers - just she has to refinance.

OK, well this moring at about 5 a.m., someone decides to get onto the freeway..... going the wrong way. It was aparently a gruesome accident, and closed one of the biggest freeway interchanges in california if not the whole west coast. Traffic was diverted and the interchange was closed. So a 40 minute commute turned into an 100 minute commute. Still aren't many details about the person who got onto the freeway going the wrong way. They are almost always either drunk, or running from the police.

i see that on cops quite a bit, in the la area.
