Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	Charles, I would say that passive aggressive signs like that will have the opposite effect. I too am amazed at how some people seem to miss the toilet, or fail to flush. But when you put up a sign like that, some people will go out of their way just to piss you off. i think it's just one person - and maybe now people will be paying closer attention to the sound - or absence of - a flush.	charles! Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	so my FIL officially sucks.. it was my husband's Birthday yesterday and his sister and brothers called him to wish him a Happy Birthday but his dad didn't... we had gone to his party about a month ago and I even baked him a cake... this just makes me mad... and then my husband said something that nearly broke my heart, he said, "I don't have a dad anymore he died along with my mom" this isn't all about not calling for his Birthday.. his dad has been pretty messed up since my MIL died which is understandable but he seems to be pushing his family away unless he needs money... and when he does come to family parties etc. he will sneak out and leave without saying goodbye... my husband used to idolize his dad and would call him up for advice all the time but now they barely talk... my MIL would be so mad if she saw how her husband was acting... oh and another thing, one time he was going on about how everyone just left him alone after my MIL died and that is why he is the way he is.. this is so not true... my husband and I called him up a bunch of times over a couple of months inviting him out for dinner and he always had some excuse why he couldn't go...so after awhile we just gave up... my guess is he's depressed and still grieving.	charles! What is it with ppl who think they know everything about the Canadian health Care system, when they really have no clue. I can't even blame it on hormones cause it drove me nuts before. I figure I'm better off in here then speaking my mind over there since it goes right over their head. And I would take our system back any day over this ####### they have here. feel my pain.............i've been told how the us military is/works, regardless of the fact i served in it for 20 years, been around it all my years prior to being in the military, worked for the military since i retired - so grand total of almost 50 years.	charles! Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	Not a vent but an update to a vent - Derek finally had his rescheduled interview this morning and took the oath ceremony less than a half hour later. And I have to give a huge shout out to the employees at the USCIS office at Fairfax, VA. After years of being confused, frustrated, and generally pissed off by USCIS, these guys really bent over backward to help Derek out today. They even gave him his own private oath ceremony right after the interview. We were in and out in just about an hour! Though security did confiscate my tweezers, lol. Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	rant for the day: baby boy was kicked out of day care yesterday for having "zomg spots all over his face, particularly around his nose" took him to his dr today and she said it's from him rubbing his nose as he has a cold. the spots are not contagious, which is what the day care was concerned about. the dr signs off on the paper that the spots around his nose are not contagious, back to day care we go. oh no....the dr was supposed to stamp it (apparently a new change the day care forgot to tell the parents about!), the day care won't let him back in without the stamp. so i have to have the dr's office fax something similar in wording with the stamp on it to the day care. nevermind that the note i had contained an original signature....and that no one told me it needed to be stamped when i was given the paper the day before when baby boy was kicked outta day care. Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	ah the incompetence of onstar! about 2 months ago, the onstar subscription on wifey's gmc terrain expired. i renewed it for 4 years. all is well, right? uh no. onstar had a problem with their computer system and charged me .96 for another month subscription even though i renewed her subscription for 4 years. i called back on that - they offered me 3 free months on the pontiac vibe to make up for it. sounded good, 3 months for .96 cents. well, the inept representative i had added the 3 months to the wrong date (end of the first year subscription instead of at the end date) poof, i had a positive balance on my credit card and i now have only 9 months left on the subscription. so on friday i call back in, get a fairly capable representative this time - he fixes it. one problem - it will be $50 more to do so. he offers to give me 3 months extension on the subscription. i did the math real quick and discovered i'd be out $11 on that deal overall, so i convinced him to give me 3 free months on both vehicles (as it was their screwup!). good thing i broke it down by a per monthly cost basis ($13) otherwise onstar would have made money outta the ineptitude of their people. grrr!	charles! Canada	Off Topic Part Cinq	Every now and then my dad will send me an envelope filled with clippings from the newspaper back home that he thinks I will enjoy - often a lot of comics, political commentary (from the Canadian viewpoint) and such. Every now and then he will put in something special - like a letter I wrote home when I was away working for the summer in Saskatchewan or a birthday card I made for my Mom when I was 5 years old . Today I received another envelope stuffed with interesting cartoons and clippings - and a listing of auctions back home. That was fun but it made me realize how much I miss auctions - they don't have them here . The thing that got me both laughing and crying at the same time is he also put in a Tim Horton's donut bag! Heheheheh - yep a donut bag (sorry Charles, it was empty!), but all the same it was such a fun surprise. can you still send the bag so i can at least smell it?	charles! You'll see a lot of "Friend of 420" adds on the personal section which means "i'm selling pot".
