Hi Virgo2012. My husband's case is in the same situation He will get his medical turned in next week. The embassy only requested the medical. I hope they pick up on our 2012 cases.

i have completed one year in AP and got e-mail from islamabad embassy to submitt updated medical only,and i did submitted it last month but now my question is if any one have same situation or idea why they only asked for medical?why they didnt asked for rest documents normally they request if some one completed one year in AP i.e fresh ds-230,fresh pics..etc
if any one have any idea plz fell free to share

Why they embassy change the phone line i cant call them anymore anyone please tell me and DOS is aslo closed for holidays I guess .

My wife been contect to her Congresswomen before and she never help us and she was black lady and told my wife After 9/11 Is very hard to get a visa for Pakistani people thats all she was said on phone with my wife and she never help us

I am really Sad buz I have been Administrative Processing . FOR Over 1 year and still never a one word from US Embassy in Islamambad , I don`t know what wrong with my case ... Before few Month Ago they do some update in my Case after I send my new fresh passport to them and never hear from them again its been over 1 year of Administrative Processing....

God please help us who r in this horrible process. Amen.

Aslo After few Days gonna be Our 5th Anniversary On 14/12/2012 ... My Interview was on 19 Dec 2011.... and we been married / 14/12/2007 ..... Still waiting for that visa thought the whole process its really sucks when we are apart from thier family please pray for me thanks everyone

Nepal - Police Certificate.

Hello,

Is police certificate of the Nepali beneficiary needed at the NVC stage for CR-1. When i applied for my father he had to submit the certificate at the embassy in Nepal.

Spouse appears for interview while pregnant

Assalamoalaikum,

I would like to know if Islamabad consulate would delay my spouse's visa if they find out she is 1-3 months pregnant? Would they ask her to give birth in Pakistan and then come for interview again? Or would they let her come to US and give birth here? I am a US Citizen and I filled for CR1. Her case has been approved by USCIS and left NVC. It's sitting in Islamabad consulate for scheduling.

Late birth registration India

My fiance just received his birth certificate a few months ago as India did not issue them until recent years. From what I've read the late birth certificates are accepted as the embassy understands the situation. We also had his mother sign a notarized affidavit stating his name, date of birth, place of birth, etc. I read somewhere that if the beneficiary cannot obtain their birth certificate in India then the affidavit, school certificate, voters id card, PAN card, all will work as well. Late birth registration India

Hi,

My wife's birth was not registered at the time of her birth as she was born in a small village in India. When she asked for a birth certificate from Gram Panchayat, she was given a letter on Gram Panchayat's letter head with her name, parent's name & place of birth but date of registration & date of issue is not mentioned in that letter. Now she is trying to get her birth registered so that she can send a proper birth certificate to NVC but the date of registration will be current date. Do you will this will be sufficient for NVC or do we need any additional paperwork due to late registration?

I hope I don't jinx myself by saying this, but this morning after yet another 3 hour wait in line, Ritesh got through to one of the Passport Officers, and his PCC and Passport should be in his hands at 4:00 PM TODAY!!! WOO HOO!! Ok, I had better stop celebrating until it is ACTUALLY in his hands...

The only bad thing is that it is too late to get to VFS, and they will be closed until Monday due to the holidays... Thank goodness they said it was ok to submit up until the 27th - we will have one week to not be completely stressed out before the medical, interview, etc. Time to schedule a massage appointment for my boo, he deserves it after the last few weeks!

In our case our Nikah happened on 1-31-12. Our wedding reception from bride (Rukhsati) side happened on 2-1-12 and Groom Reception (Valima) on 2-3-12.

We did mentioned date of marriage 1-31-12 on I-130(When we signed the marriage certificate AKA Nikah Nama with witnesses signatures from both sides).

Technically, on I-130 application I stated date 2-1-12 on Question 21 in which you have to give address and dates from - to where you both (husbands & wife) live together. Because Rukhsati (Bride Reception) was happened on 2-1-12 and we all know very well in our culture that Bride don't live with husband until Rukhsati done.

When we registered our marriage with NADRA (Marriage Registration Certificate) they also stated date of marriage as 1-31-12 the day when we signed the Marriage papers with witnesses signatures.

In ISL, the US Embassy very well knows the difference between Nikah and Rukhsati and in few cases they did asked in the interview to the beneficiary if the Rukhsati has been done or not.

In our case we don't have Nikah photos as we don't think about it but we do have photos & video of Wedding ceremony for both receptions.

Our case still at NVC for a final review and still waiting for the Interview date. Let see what comes out later...

In my case my Nikkah was on 30-April-2010 thats what we mentioned in I-130, but Wedding Ceremony was in 23-March-2011.

On top of that i do have all the pics like Nikkah, Heena, Wedding Reception, Valima & honeymoon. So kindly advice me what should i say if CO will ask about the wedding date? if ill say my wedding was in 2010 and reception was in 2011 ( is that a issue???). Plus my baby was born in US couple of months ago and he is USC is that beneficial for me show them his Birth certificate and passport copies?

Well they only Gives 2 vaccines at medical . Thats what i had to get bcz i didnt have any vaccine card at all . So doctor only asked me i ever had chicken pox i said yes thats it .

Grandma wants to come back to USA again

Yes, I know My dad has to file.

She let b/c, she cant handle cold. we still live in the east coast so, snow is inevitable. not sure if she wants to come here permanently or just visit. She is 84 years old and lives alone now, b/c my grandfather past away last year.

Passport taken, where's visa?

So they took passport but we have to wait for visa. do anyone know how long we will have to wait. does anyone share experience in this: embassy called to bring in passport. we took in passport a few minutes ago but they say they call again to pick up visa. does anyone know how long this might take?

After the visa is approved, it's usually something like 1-2 weeks.

I would say get married in Australia and apply from there. Background check in Pakistan is so slow and AP is taking forever for my husband, without any information or idea of whats going on or what will happen next.

I feel the same way we have been seeing a lot of 2013 applicants being approved. I am very happy that embassy is doing its job, however its sad how interviewers from August 2012- Dec 2012 are stuck in the same situation. I guess apne apne kismaat ke bhaat hai.

O God Help everyone in this A.P, I just wrote email after 3 months as i was asked, praying and asking everyone to pray for me..... please do so.... this thing really scaring me.... and yes i appreciate EAbbas for being there for many people and a great helping hand ... I got married on may 2013, I am permanent resident of united states and on the travel documents till march 2014. I got filled the i130 form, biography forms, got nikkah nama. My questions are

Do I have to fill the i130 with the spouse name after the nikah?

Pakistani filers - USC at interview with spouse?

The US Citizen can go to the Embassy with to the interview with their spouse. Just make sure the US citizen takes their US Passport with them. At the time of the interview, they will ask the US citizen to be put aside and interview the applicant alone. Then they might call the US citizen and interview them also. This is what happened with me

Give USCIS the date mentioned in Nika nama, wedding ceremony can be happened later that is understandable. And they will never ask you the date of ceremony except interview (there is a bit possibility).

visa pending and sputum culture test

hi everybody
i m kind of dillema...my wife had her 8 weeks sputum culture test and yesterday it was passed 8 weeks.she call IOM today and they say we r not allowed to tell the result over phone.they even dont called in whole 8 weeks too.i think it means the result is good.but why they dont give the information.they told the report was directly send to the US embassy of nepal and the chest xray will provided by us when u r in the IOM office.so my question is IS my wife sputum culture is good? if she got active bacteria for TB they must be called with in 3,4 weeks right?is it ok to go embassy now and ask for her visa.....so confused ...plz help

did anyone has gone through K1 visa interview at US Embassy in singapore, does anyone know how easy it is to get through here coz my interview will be soon this september.

also my fiancee has a Co-sponsor as her mom does Singapore embassy accept that?

and she is a white i am a asian does it make any difference in the outcome?

Yes it is the designated clinic by the US Emb but I finished it in less than half a day, depending on how many clients are in for medical too. Injections are mandatory, it's ok if you don't have a record, they will do a blood test for you. I think I paid about S$330 (forgot the exact amount).

For Police verification letter, they send it directly to the embassy I think after 2 weeks, so it takes time too. You can actually make use of the waiting time to gather all other supporting docs esp the I134.

Can't wait till this process is over :wacko:

It takes about 3 weeks from the time you send in your packet 3 to the interview date, so if you want to get an early interview, send it rightaway, provided you've gotten all docs ready

K-1 or CR-1 From Pakistan?

Hello everybody,

Please forgive my ignorance as I do not know a great deal about this process and therefore seek your help here. I am a male, a US citizen and live in NY.The lady who I want to marry lives in Pakistan. Can someone please advice which route (K1 or CR-1 or any other) is preferable in Pakistan.
