One of my friends told me that her friends husbands case took 9 months and he was approved for spousal visa without trip to embassy for interview. This was Canada supposedly. Thoughts? ... And go!   sorry i am having a bad day, perhaps my post wasnt so nice. i should first ask if they were in the US first.     they probably adjusted status from canada. providing there are no negative factors, and the intent is overcome because they are immediate relative of a US citizen, there is nothing illegal about it...   canadians visit the US everyday, and also it is not the same since most other coutries who dont share a border with the US are required to obtain a visa to visit, there are countries who are on VWP and if you read the rules granted the intent is there, there are no negative factors and they are married to a USC, if they get a stamp at the border, they can adjust.   anyone who wants to say otherwise can read the litreture and look up case law... Didnt want to add graph for approvals, its too painful to see...     is it just me thats noticed this trent or does it seem we get transfers and approvals between 7 pm and later? Also Aditya i read your post. I think that they just assign random numbers but i did notice that alot of people who are around the similar days as me have similar numbers................ lord bring us our first transfer tonight!   probably some sort of batch process where they just have the system read the barcodes and then the system spits out notices... ? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Aug 2013 I-130 filers	hi hi,  we filed I130 on 8/12, package received by USCIS on 8/13...received text and email on 8/14 with an 8/13 PD..I can't remember exactly but I think we received NOA1 in the mail about 8/23...our application is being processed by the VSC   That is correct, the VSC is handling the F-2A visa's... there have been some that have flown through NOA2 i think, i recall seeing some when going through the forums.... I'm refusing to look at my timeline until the first week of October!!! Good thing is that I'm off to the States on Thursday, so I have kind of forgotten about the petition for abit. Been running around getting things ready for the trip and most importantly, gathering my evidence of ties to Greece!! Or even 5 calander days!!! if you are this jumpy over NOA1 you will e in for a world of a surprise. Air back relax and if they cash the check and 5 business days go by, then you can start sounding the horns. Still no text or email for noa1. How long does it usually take?
