maybe i am missing something... NOA date 5/10/13.... and you are at the 6 month mark??

Result: 156 days

It is 156 days from the start date to the end date, but not including the end date

Or 5 months, 3 days excluding the end date

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMedical Examination Rules?

Just a thought, i understand you are working, and at the end of the day, you have to provide a roof over your head and food on table... but havent you been waiting long enough to move back to the US? and to potentially delay it 3-3.5 months for a medical exam which you could schedule with a physician and explain to them your scheduling issues, i am sure one of the 4 or 5 of the physicians can try and squeeze you in. One of them i saw even takes passport pictures for your while you are there and will courier the papers to you or you can pick them up in 48 hours...

just a thought, dont let this hold you back from your loved ones!

just my .02, hope i didnt overstep... congrats on getting your interview! i am just starting my process for my wife! dancin5hr.gif

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresFinally ready to start my journey, thoughts? (i-130 package)

HI all,

I  have been a lurker for almost 3 months now, I have read all the guides, the FAQ's, and used the advanced search function more times than i can count. It has come time for me to have someone double check the items as listed on my cover page (I used tabs at the bottom of the page and everything is in order).

?                    Completed G-1145

?                    Completed I-130 with attachment (?About Us?)

?                    Check in the amount of $420

?                    G-325A (petitioner) with birth certificate

?                    Passport style photo (petitioner)

?                    G-325A (beneficiary) with birth certificate

?                    Passport style photo (beneficiary)

?                    Copy of US Marriage Certificate

?                    Copy of online profiles from BLANK for Petitioner (BLANK) and Beneficiary (BLANK)

?                    Copy of Email correspondence

?                    Copies of itineraries and airline boarding passes for my (BLANK) visits to BLANK

?                    Copies of itineraries and airline boarding passes for her (BLANK)  visits to USA

?                    Copies of entry/exit stamps to BLANK (BLANK)

?                    Photographs of us together (dates, places, and list of persons in captions)

?                    Copy of Joint Bank Account with my wife, BLANK

?                    Copy of BLANK, as my beneficiary for my employer sponsored 401(k) plan

?                    Logs of BLANK (International calling service) calls

?                    Copy of receipt for ring, diamond certification, insurance policy on diamond ring

?                    Copy of Partial Transcripts of chat logs

?                    Copy of  Engagement Ceremony Invitation

?                    Copy of Executed Lease Agreement

2 affidavits from third parties having knowledge of the bona fides of our marital relationship

I have replaced personal information such as names and countries with blanks, please let me know if you think this package would be sufficient. I would estimate it is approx. 160 pages and weighs close to 2 lbs. The only staples are the ones on the passport envelope to a 8.5*11 page and the check to a blank page in front of the i-130.

Thank you for your help and advice over the last couple of months, i have learned so much! and Yes, i am doing everything by the book! :)

Thank you!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresFinally ready to file our I-130

Do you have any bona fide evidence? i didnt see any of it included in the information above.

If you go a couple more pages through the threads, you can see some of the contents in my package.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresFinal few questions before submitting I-130 package

if you are worried about letting the USCIS see things like that, well get used to not seeing your wife... :/

as bad as it is, they will get so deep into your personal life you will squeal...

on a side note, yes you should clearly indicate all the items which are in the package (cover page)... makes things easier, also you should DEFINITELY  include items on how you met, your relationship, etc. your communication, logs, sample of chat messages.

see if you can look up one of my old posts which contained a sample of my cover page which included all the items in the package. I had approx. 170 pages and a good list of items. Anything you redact will look suspicious and the last thing you want to do is get an RFE for something you could have avoided.

Anyone?

also update your timeline so that people can give you more direct advice...

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresShould I submit beneficiary's birth certificate long form? (split topic)

folks i have a question for you, i have read and searched (no flaming...), lately RFE's are being sent out for beneficiary BC (long form)... i included the short form (even though it was not required for beneficiary), and would hate to extend my journey weeks or even a month for this sillyness... I have the long form with me, i was thinking of making a copy and sending it with my I-797C for NOA1 (Copy) to the address it was receved at. I dont mind doing that every weeky until i get approval in the hopes that even one copy of it makes it to the file and saves me time. I have read there instances whereby some send it and it doesnt get returned, and others get the letter right back. Worth sending it once and seeing if i get it returned, because if i get an RFE and i didnt try then i will feel like i let my wife down... thoughts?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresTax questions (merged)

sorry but if you were married in 2012, irregardless of where your husband is... you are MARRIED! how can you file single ? unless you didnt tell the tax preparer, then thats your fault, otherwise you need to seek tax help elsewhere.

please wait to see what others here say, but i believe this could be an issue for AOS, since they look at your tax transcripts and it will say that you were single for 2012, when infact your marraige certificate will say 2012.... so you would need to ammend your tax return...

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresRFE dilemma

Unless your wife has a SS# you have to file Married Filing Seperately but then that requires you to include her income......way big hassle. Dont rely on taxes as bonafides.

you have an option of filing jointly without the spouse having a SS#... please dont provide incorrect information.

there are 2 routes that can be taken, a foreign income exclusion or foreign tax credit depending on where you live and which works out better. you cant take both routes though.

but bonafide... i gave them 70 pages randomized through word of our 1 years worth of chat logs and printed them out. also pics, and plane tickets/passport stamps!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWhat's the point of sending in previous tax transcripts?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWhat's the point of sending in previous tax transcripts?

We used the I-864ez (not using assets so why send a longer form?) and sent 3 years of tax transcripts to show my husband had a history of being employed and making above the poverty guidelines. We also sent 6 months of bi-weekly pay stubs.

isnt the difference business related income and not just w2 from employer for the 864ez?? doesnt just have to do with assets...

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresDS260 is it hard?

1500 for the DS260 for is ridiculous...  you can do these forms yourself as well as all the other paper work.

There are many guides on the forums that can help you! It hurts me to know that attny's charge this much for such easy tasks. They are going to gather all the information from you and simply type it in to the form... if you gathered the information, why not just put it into the form yourself? There are plenty of posts here on the DS260  and questions on specific lines items.

I am going a different route so I am not doing the DS260, but when I looked at doing it, it was easy peasy providing you have the information pre-populated from the old form (most of the questions are the same except for a couple changes).

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresYes you can visit- IR1-CR1 version

Border control does not have access. I asked a us diplomat when I got CRBA for my son. Last week I went to the border from Canada to US to take my hubby and son to the airport. I had a friend drive and we got pulled. My hubs and son are USC. They asked why I wasn't going. I told them I was in the process and waiting on paperwork. I showed them my NOA1. I said I just wanted to see them off and I had no intent to stay. They checked their luggage and plane tickets and I had to sign a form. I was cleared to go.

what form did you sign? that is interesting... do you remember?
