Hi Everyone,

Maryces21- Lol..it looks like I'm not the only one that missed the EAC reciept number on the check/cheque...hmmm...maybe they don't do such for the N-400, like they did before for the I-751? Guess I'll just have to wait for my NOA for a reciept number...
Congrats too on getting your bio appointment for Sept. 28...Wow, that was quick! Did you get a bio letter telling you of that date?
Hope all goes well for you for that (and yes, do post about the experience here too)!

Waiting2008-Congrats on getting your NOA letter. Hopefully I'll get mine next, as I filed right after you did. Thanks for letting me know about the bio updates online...Hmmm...works like it did before..no bio date...but at least shows that the file was touched...better than nothing I suppose. Hope you get your bio appointment soon too.

Ant (Still waiting for NOA....)

On your receipt, top left corner you should have Aplication Number. you can use that number on https://egov.uscis.g...earchDisplay.do
It will show updates, but it will not show Bio app. You will need to wait on NOA for Bio.

Received BIO appoinment for Sept 28th......yooohooo..It is going fast!!!!!!

Ant, Thank you for the wishes hopefully you are about to get yours too.
I would not trust online updates, i have been thru i-751 interview almost a month ago and it was successfull thank god, still shows that my case pending, thank god i had a printed and signed document that shows the interview was a success. So, i would say the mail box is the best place for updates smile.gif
Waiting.

Hi Everyone,

Just to let you all know that I checked on the N-400 check/cheque online today (9/18/09) and....

They cashed it in!!! (on 9/15/09, JP Morgan Chase, in Lewisville Texas, from what I could read from the images on the check/cheque)...

Lol..guess my bank was a bit slow regarding the updates...oh well..

Sigh..there goes our money to the USCIS..I feel depressed....

Now I wait for the NOA..and get some much needed exercise (as our new mailbox is a mile away, literally)...what a long walk to check the mail....
Maybe that walk will cheer me up (or at least help me lose the baby weight..lol..)..

Check...I've checked on the check/cheque......I'm all "checked out" and broke....

Will keep you all updated on VJ as to what happens next...

Ant

P.S. Is there some sort of EAC reciept tracking number that I can check my N-400 application with that is on the check/cheque? Or would I have to wait for my NOA and/or biometrics letter to track such?

On your receipt, top left corner you should have Aplication Number. you can use that number on https://egov.uscis.g...earchDisplay.do
It will show updates, but it will not show Bio app. You will need to wait on NOA for Bio.

Excellent news! Yes, it seems you were one of the ones randomly picked so they could meet their statistical requirements. I'm glad to know everything went well for you - and congratulations!

Thank you Kathryn41. It was worth every minute of waiting. We could not believe that we've waited that long and hear that a system pick. It was kind of funny though.

Thank you again.

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussioni-751 returned to local office
Yesterday was the Interview date for i-751.
we walked in 45 minutes early. Had to sit down for 30 mnts. Got the ticket and placed in the waiting room with another 6-7 couples. we have seen only one couple interviewed separetly.
Anyways. Our ticket number apperad at the screen, got in and had a seat in a little office with one officer.
I have all the paperwork we have submitted top 2 holes punched on the desk.
Before anything, the officer said he has no idea why we were picked for an interview. He said our paperwork was perfectly fine. asked if we would like to submit additional paperwork.
Gave him 3-4 most recent util. bills.
He has mentioned that our case was picked by the system, and it was very small percentage.

He stamped the folder Approved!! and said conrats.
Asked if they can stamp my passport just in case of emergency travel, he stamp the passport for a year.
We were out of there in 15-20 minutes.

Thank you all for your help and support. I hope that info would help someones in need.

Hi,

Wish you good luck. Other folks have given you good info. Gather the evidence as much as you can, even make photocopies just in case if they want to keep one set.

Don't worry and be prepared. Let us know how it went for you.

To All;
I want to thank everyone of you for your support and helpfull information. Just want to make it clear that i have not recieved any NOA regarding the transfer to local office by mail or email. It's the update i was told by the Congressman's office.
I hope everything will be fine at the end. It is just a little stressed out.
i will post updates as soon as i hear anything.
Thank you all again.

Yes sounds like you will be interviewed. Might like to prepare by gathering most recent evidence for your continuation of joint asset sharing, utility bills, mortgage/lease, latest tax transcripts etc...

Perhaps a mod could move this to Removing Conditions forum, where there are a few interview experiences that have been shared recently...

Did anyone have such experience.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresLetter from Landlord
QUOTE (jonitajesus @ Sep 11 2009, 03:36 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
We are getting documents ready for my husbands Visa Interview in CDJ. I need to get a letter from the Landlord because my husbands name is not on the lease. He knows that both of us live here, but I didn't want to put my husbands name on the lease because he checks credit and things like that. Since my husband does not have a SSN, I wanted to do it that way. Now I need a letter from him but I am nervous to ask him to do this.

He does not know my husband does not have his papers and I don't want him to say no or judge us. Any advice on how I should ask him or what he should provide in the letter would be great!

Thanks!

Your landlord should have no saying in regard your husband's status. as mentioned in previous post; just type a letter and have the lanlord sign it. Your landlord already knows that you both live in the property, so, that should not be any problem Keep in mind that all what you are asking for is a comfirmation. As you know, without SSN he can not have much legal paperwork or merge paperwork on both names. Have you considered to get a Tax ID number? that would help too.
good luck
