Hi,
I emailed my company's human resources contact that I needed an employment letter of verification; i provided them with the sample letter that is provided here in visajourney, along with the requirements that they needed to cover like, 'employment status, salary, start date of employment, nature of employment.."
I got an email asking for me to provide the following:

recipients name, company and address (including phone number or email address)

Thus my question is----who would be considered the recipient in this case? Is it my fiance's consulate, is it USCIS?
Or how have others addressed this issue?

In our case, they told us phone records were not proof enough. Others have been asked phone records. Could you print out logs from Skype or MSN?

I can print some of the history, but my nice hard drive crashed on me and lost those records; we do have our gmail chats archived for every day of the last so many months since the petition has been approved. I have visited my fiance as of 2 months ago, and I have the boarding pass for that, and passport stamp....hoping that is stronger proof than phone records smile.gif
Also, my fiancee was thinking of bringing her mobile with her to show the text messages, but I think i have read in other threads consulates don't allow mobiles...

i saw that part and what got me confused is that the doctor from Bio-medica told me that i need that the clinical health s***tt no matter what.

I have my medical appointment on Thursday. I called CMU Batistei because it was closer to where I live and work. To make sure I bring all the papers with me on Thursday, I called many times before making the appointment to ask what specific papers I need to have with me, and I was not requested to bring any "certificate of clinical health".

However, if you look on the papers you received from the Embassy, there are a few forms you need to fill in, including the medical form. On the first page on that medical form, you are told what papers to bring with you when having the medical examination at one of the 3 clinics agreed by the Embassy. At position no 3 on that page it says indeed that you need an additional "certificate", but only if you are registered as suffering from a chronic or neuropsychiatric disease. If you are NOT suffering from any such disease, then you don't need it, but your family doctor that issued the vaccines certificate needs to write on the vaccines certificate that "you are not registered as suffering from any chronic or neuropsychiatric diseases". Probably, your family doctor forgot to write it and that's why you were requested the additional certificate of medical health. Take a look on the vaccines paper and see what's written there, and go settle this issue with your family doctor.

Hello everyone,
On the paperwork my fiance received from the Romanian embassy, it asks for the case number.
We looked at the different's number on the notice we got, and there is a petitioner's number, beneficiary's number, receipt number, but we don't see any case number. I did a search on the forums, and I see others have mentioned to call the 603 334 0700 number to get this info...been calling that number this morning,and is busy so I figured I'll ask here in case the number is in another document..

Before the medical examination, my fiance went to her doctor and got all her vaccinations record; as she didn't want to be caught by surprise at the medical exam appt, she also asked her doctor what vaccinations she was missing. She was missing a few so she decided to get those before she went to her medical exam; when she went to the medical exam, she was told all her vaccinations were up to date, except for her tetanus shot, so she got tthat there.
So even if you don't have all your vaccinations, most likely you'll get them at the medical exam....

Hi Everyone...
Interview for my fiance is coming up this thursday...
For proof of ongoing relationship, in addition to pics, boarding passes, etc, we have also gotten ready email exchange to present as evidence. We have printed the inbox that shows all our email history; however, from what i have read in other posts, it seems that people print individual emails, like 2 or 3 and presente those....do we have to have individual emails printed out, or will the inbox history be sufficient? And when I say inbox history, i refer to the list of emails one has in the inbox when one hasn't selected an individual email to read (see attachment) smile.gif

I don't see why you would have to inform the consulate of your new address. For my job, I move every 3 or so months to a different address; as I didn't want to complicate the process, I decided to use my parents address as my permanent address and that's how we kept it, even though I don't really live there; however, all my 'mail' (bills, work stuff, etc) goes there, so not a problem for me to use it as a permanent address.....in the scheme of all things, though, i don't think the address is much of an issue....

Well, to put it in perspective for you....
I was the petitioner, and since I live in the usa, they could have easily done a credit report check and seen all my addresses; also, there is a thread from an adjudicator that you can find here:

If you read thru all the posts, he mentions how when they first receive the k1 package, they run it thru a database. When I read that i thought, "oh sh!t, I'm done for." I figured that they would see the discrepancy in my address, and well, I would have to resubmit the info; however, I had the feeling that it wouldn't be much of a problem, and indeed, my noa1 came with no RFEs. Now, you got your NOA2, correct? That means that your first G325A that your fiance submitted where you forgot to list your job cleared, correct? If so, if I were in your shoes, I would submit the record as you did with your g325a. Of course, that's my opinion, and there are times that we have to go with what our intuition says. If you think is best to clarify the record, then maybe is best to do it that way for you.

I would skip it. I did the same error with my address. It said to list the addresses for the last so many years---well, I skipped one by mistake and realized it later on after I had sent the first application; however, I left the records as they were and it didn't become a problem. As for the other question, have you looked at the sample form to see how is filled out? Many times when we were unsure how to fill something out, we went to the sample forms and just did what it was shown there.

to answer your last question----not sure why your fiance sent in that to the consulate/embassy, but as far as we understood the process, you bring the i134 to the interview only. Maybe I wasn't aware that other consulates are different, but I can tell you that when my fiancee got her package, I was under the impression she needed two i134 but she explained to me that on her instructions it said to bring that to the interview only so i sent one notarized i-134, and that's what she brought to the interview. I believe in her package it said to schedule the interview, you sent in couple of forms, passport copy and a 50x50pic, but you don't send in the affidavit of support. YOu also don't send in the evidence of the relationship---you bring that to the interview. Of course, could be different for turkey, but that i don't know....so i would start by asking your fiance to see what was in instructions he got from the consulate, and then find out what was it that he needed to send back to the consulate, and then of course, what is it he needs to bring for the interview. I could be mistaken but it appears he might have sent too much to the consulate cause we didn't do it that way, but again, not sure if things are done differently in turkey.

As for your evidence of relationship, it never hurts to have additional proof.
For our interview, fortunately we had met after we had filed for the k1 visa, so we had pictures of us together within the last 4 months; however, we only brought 2 of these to the interview. WE had boarding passes, email chat logs, postal mail (about 4 envelopes with posted dates within last 4 months), and my fiancee wore her engagement ring. My fiance said she saw them flip thru the evidence but didn't ask any questions about it.....we were worried cause we didn't have any phone call evidence, but that was not an issue.

#1 The forms sent to me from Montreal consulate are out of date. I am assuming I print off the latest version from online instead of using the forms provided?(even though I read a caution against using forms they didn't send to us)

disclaimer: we went thru the romanian consulate of course, and unless there are specific instructions different to your consulate, I'm basing my answers on our own experience

Make copies of the forms they sent you in case you screw up something, and fill those out; we didn't download anything from online; we used what they sent. N ow, if you got specific instructions to download forms from the online site,then do it that way, otherwise, like i said, just fill out what they sent.

#2 The letter request DS-230 Part 1 which on their forms there is no part 2. The updated version includes a Part 2. Should I also send in the Part 2 of the updated form?

Again, fill out what they sent you; if you got instructions from them to fill out part 2, then do it, otherwise, no need to.


#3 Is it ok to hold off on sending in the DS-156K form and supporting documents and just bring it in to the interview with me? I'm still waiting for Police report and Affidavit of support.

Not sure this questions makes sense. However, we gathered all our documents, then we sent in the ds-156k form; i know others sent the ds-156k form as they were gathering documents; we were in no rush, so we decided to send it once everything was gathered.

#4 Do I have to have all documents in hand before I send in the checklist DS-230 and DS-156(online form in duplicate) or can I send it all in as the medical has been scheduled, the police reports have been ordered and the Affidavit for support will be on it's way soon.

WE decided to send ours when we had all our stuff together; others have done it as they waited for paperwork to arrive...that is up to you and how fast you think ulll be scheduled and if youll have all the documents by then...


#5...any suggestions you can offer to help make sure I do everything properly?

Make sure you follow instructions on what u got sent in the packet, and best to find somebody from your consulate, and send them a private message cause is best when others that have gone thru the same consulate as yours provide you with info. star_smile.gif

I collected my employment letter about the time i got my noa2; by the time i sent my affidavit of support to my fiance, about 6 weeks had passed from the time of when the employment letter was issued; by the time my fiance showed up for the interview, about 9 weeks had passed since the original issue of the employment letter. Don't know if there is a specific timeline guideline, but my documents were 2 months plus old by the interview took place; i think at 3 months you should still be ok.

Any official documents must be translated and notarized in English. For example, romanian birth certificate, police record, etc. Now, my wife brought a couple of extra copies of her birth certificate into the usa, and I think we used one for the marriage certificate. Can't remember now, but it was a good thing we had an extra copy in the usa as we used it. Fortunately, my wife found a cheap firm in bucharest that did the translation and notarization for around 15 dollars or so per copy.

bueno yo fue a la procuraduria y me dijeron que eso lo expedian en la paginas de internet y lo tenian que admitir. yo lo autentique por si depronto ahi dice que no tuve enrredos ni arrestos la direccion es www.procuraduria.gov.co el de antecedentes y el otro de jucios fiscales en la www.contraloriagen.gov.co yo los saque y los lleve a una notaria y me los autenticaron

gracias por las respuestas pero aun no hay claridad porque no son los mismos porque en el paquete 4 mandaron punto por punto de papeles y dicen que es diferente los de entradas y salidas a el de registros migratorio a los que les hallan negado alguna vez a visa y no se donde se saca
