Canada	Importing my car - I WANT TO SCREAM	i am in canada...have a 84 camaro..my fiance lives in vermont...he was afraid of the same thing...so he called the border and what they told him was ..since this is a k1 visa...there is an import exemption...its a 1 time deal...for any car to be able to come throu the border...just have the usa citizen call the closest border and talk with them...explaining the ki visa was filed and you want to know about your car. they will explain to you..i think the car has to be at least 1 yr old. hope this helps...and all the best to the both of you.	billsgirl	Female	Canada	2006-07-25 17:27:00

Canada	Packet 3 - What can I do now?	alot of it you can start gathering now, but they won't schedule you a medical appointment until you have your interview letter from teh consulate. i was able to book a medical for me and my 2 sons before i recieved my pkg 3. i called one of the places that do the medicals for the k1 visa here in montreal today...and got a date for the 2nd of october You can go see your regular doctor tho to either get your vaccination records, or have them draw blood for titres. see the www.panelphysicians.com website for the list of vaccinations required for your age group. As a Canadian you probably don't need any, except tetanus, as you'd have already had them in order to attend school. i was able to book appointments for our medicals for the k1 visa, before recieving my pkg 3. called them to day and they told me to come in for the 2nd of october. i explained to them that i did not have pkg 3 yet, but told them that i had the new case number from the nvc.	billsgirl	Female	Canada	2006-09-13 18:19:00

Canada	it came!!!!!	omg...got home from work...and pkg 4 was on the kitchen table.....out interview date is set for NOVEMBER 27th at 9:30!!!!...not much in that pkg....just the cost of interview and they state to do the ds-156 electronically.then a separate paper called...security notice to all visitors and another one about if you want them to mail your visa...i am real excited right now....need to piddle ..i sure hope everyone here gets theirs real soon..	billsgirl	Female	Canada	2006-10-10 17:03:00

Canada	Honda Civic not compliant with USA safety standards – what to do?	2 years ago my fiance called the border at Highgate(vermont)/canada....asked about my car at the time...what we have to do to bring it over and he told us that we had a one time exemption when a person immigrates to the usa...as long as you have owned it for over a year.mine was a 84 camaro... dont know what the form is that you would have to fill out, cause 2 months later the car was stolen....i would contact the nearest border or any for that fact and see what they tell you...	billsgirl	Female	Canada	2006-10-14 19:37:00
