Hi members I want some assistance, If they request for the passport and you send it through DHL, how do know that they have finished to work it so that you can pick from the dhl centre that you selected?

Do you just keep on checking physically with the DHL office, or there is a way to check online?

Thank you for your time,

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)REQUESTED FOR PASSPORT

The consulate emailed me that they are done with AP that I redo the medical and send the passport, but to my surprise it has taken about 2 weeks with my passport and the CEAC website is still showing AP. I am worried, are they doing another AP or they have gone for Christmas break already?

Second thing, I was denied a visa for canada and norway some years back, could that affect my current visa application?

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Approved AP Cases

I am in AP for the last 10 months. I did my interview in Jan 2013 and I was told to bring some more 2 documents which i did after 2 weeks and I was sent to AP. Today when I emailed the Embassy This is what they have replied:

Thank you for your email.

Please check with us in about one week.  The administrative process is still on going, and hope by the next one week we will give you information on the way forward.

What does it indicate members? Doe sit mean they are almost done and does it sound positive that an approval is soon coming or simply a denial?

Thank you so much for that Advice. I was able to speak to one of the people in Immigrant visa section and he told me that I keep on checking that there is no Available appointment dates at the moment.

But today in the morning I received an email that if possible I select another Consulate which looked not clear to me!
Can the file be transferred from one embassy to another simply because there is any appointment date/ If possible which would be the best alternative I am a Ugandan and Kampala embassy doesn't issue Fiance Visa May be Dare salam Tanzania.

Please Advise me on what to do.

Thank you once again members for the good advice you give us.
I have a problem with scheduling an appointment with the embassy of Nairobi. I have done everything as they instructed me to do including the medical examination. But when I logged in on the site it tells me no available appointment date and ever since they approved our petition (K1 Petition) and sent to the embassy its approximately 1 month left before it expires so I am worried on what to do. I managed to call through and talked to an Officer at the embassy but still told me that its not available at the moment that i keep on checking.

Is there anybody who went through such a scenario

Kindly Advise
I will be grateful.

I was given a yellow slip indicating some documents to bring to Nairobi embassy, my question how long does it take to issue the visa once the documents are brought?
Is this the AP members are talking about?
Can they change their mind and deny you yet u have brought what they requested?

I will be grateful for your advice.

Today I am done with my Interview, I was interviewed by a very nice guy who was kind with me in answering his questions.
He gave me a Yellow Slip when he clearly wrote. "We can not issue your visa until you send in the following documents"

1. Letter from the Registry claiming You're single and never married
2 Custody Order/ consent for my children.

That when I get them I send via courier or bring them any time in person.

My questions are:-
1 Are they on the way to deny me or approve my visa?
2 When sending them, should I send them with the passports coz it seems no any other Interview.
3 How long do the take to issue them?
4 Am i put in AP I always hear?

i have never done the second booking i did it only once but for making a new account, thats not possible at all coz your details are in the system dont confuse yourself. Just do as they have said and you would let your fiance do it from US side am sure he might get the very day he requests (they talk the same language)

Good luck

Africa: Sub-SaharanNairobi Embassy Thread!

To add on, when we made congressional way back, the reply was "Unfortunately this case is still under internal mandatory administrative processing and once its completed we shall contact the applicant on how to proceed"

What does this mean?

Does it mean my AP is at consulate level?

Africa: Sub-SaharanNairobi Embassy Thread!

Hi VJ members,

My story goes like this.

I did my interview at Nairobi embassy on 14th Jan 2013 and everything seemed to me fine at the end of the interview, the CO gave me a yellow form when he had ticket others: he mentioned that i send through DHL the following documents:Custody Order for my children and a Single status Letter from the government I came back to Uganda and got them then after sent them from on 29th jan and they confirmed to have received them but said the CO had not passed through yet. After a week I got a call from The embassy that I have been put in AP and it last about 1 week to 90 days and no update up to now its coming to the fourth month and when I check on the DOS website still it says AP.

Has anyone gone through this experience at the same embassy and how long did it take you to get the Visa?

NOTE: I didnt leave my Passport with them, they gave them back to us.

Advice is highly appreciated

:star: Happy holidays to you all :star:

Just wanted to break the silence  :ot: So, in the process of getting acquainted with my new home and switching from British English (in Kenya, we call it the Queen's language) to American English...I've learnt from my fiancé that the word 'thrice' does not exist in American English...you say 'three times' and the pronunciation of 'squirrels' is so different from Kenyan pronunciation :D

Haha....Many words like rubbish (trash), torch (flashlight), lorry (truck), cheque (check) etc. are not applicable in the American vocabulary. Also, it took me time to pronounce the silent 't' in words like 'water' hence had lots of trouble asking for water at restaurants, hahaha!!!

Enjoy the weather. First winter, right?

Happy New year to you all.
