We are here for support and that is why this thread is here. Endoftheroad you have a difficult situation and you have worked so hard to get here. Regardless of what you are going through you can vent here all you want. I understand and this is not a easy process.

True, you guys have heard me crab for months about this stupid process we have to go through! Well start to finish it will probably be about 7 months before this is over probably for us, which you guys and I knew we'd have issues, then of course we have to keep posting to keep in touch after...I'm just frustrated about waiting for that stupid Subject Access...I'm thankful that I had him order it Oct 10th thanks to ME reading about it here in VJ...(hehe) sooo, i'm here to rant, plus i'm really bored in the evenings when I'm home from work...I have no life..ok? lol.

Nigel thinks he wants to wait for his Subject Access by the 20th we should have it roundabouts, so we'll see. He got all pissy on me cause I was thinking it was at the court house and we phoned over there and they need actual dates, well the Subject Access will have it, so we gotta flipping wait for it. Stupid. Oh well. At least I WAS smart enough to order it LAST MONTH...hehe.

Omg, i had a laugh today, Nigel told me he did some digging, and his records, being more than 15 years ago, is at ANOTHER court house in Chesterfield.....in another flipping county....STUPID! At least its a easy train ride there...good God!!!! How funny, thats where one of his brothers lives so he can have a little visit..its like a hour train ride so not bad...I've even been there! Soooo, we're cookin over here! WOOHOO!

I found this on the British Expats forum. If they can't find info, then they need to provide a letter saying so.

"The information is exactly as reported earlier in the post - apply for the MOC at the convicting court with as many details of the offense/offense that can be recalled. The fee around 40 UK Pounds is typical. Ask the court to stamp or emboss the document as the US authorities are keen on this 'authentication' - typical MOC's often look like a photocopy.

If the information cannot be found (usually because inaccurate details have been provided - the information never 'lapses'), then the Court will provide a letter to this effect."


Hmmm....so maybe if he trotts over to Derbyshire court and requests things, maybe they can write out a letter saying they have nothing. I called them twice today and they only found his dad's old speeding ticket. Go figure. Maybe I need to contact Nigel's member of parliament (MP) in his area and make them find the damn thing! We applied for the subject access that should arrive by the 20th, hopefully it will have things on it plus he's gonna have to go to Derbyshire and search their databases, I called them but they have nothing on him. Approved ...PENDING COURT RECORDS...how did I know. We have to call the courier to send it in when we find them. F%$$#! I knew it was gonna be that....the nit wit told them he was 18.............sh%$ But at least it wasnt a denial.....I feel sick right now.

His appointment is at 9:30 London time, which is 2:30am Arizona time. Course he's lining up a hour before, then like the reviews say, wait for another 1.5hours before they send you to the counter to give papers, then wait another few hours for them to talk to you then over. I'm thinking a total of 5 hours in there. So by the time my Today show is on NBC for me to watch the news I should know a yea or nea. Course i'll be up and down looking at the clock, then the cellphone, then sleep, then the clock then the phone then sleep, toss turn, ya know.

Well funny enough about a hour or so ago, I had a real strange sense of peace come over me, really weird, kind of like the air was let out of me a bit. So will try to keep that for the next couple nights....I remember my visa interview in Canada, was nerve wracking but was easy, I just dont want failure, maybe I read too much on here, these horrible sad stories with other people you know. Aaaanyways, will keep everyone posted. I have Tuesday off so Monday night will be the best or the worst day of my life. Lets hope its the best.

Oh we're doing good, Nigel's working lots and lots, i'm getting bills paid off this month, (whew) and have wedding or airline money in el banco (lol here in arizona too long) just waiting for the go ahead Tuesday morning after the interview so I can breathe again and book stuff....i'm gonna have a flipping heart attack if Nigel has issues in his interview....shouldnt though, i know we've been over this again and again....juvenile crimes dont count....but i'm worried sick sick sick....i'm so ready for this and have all my ducks in a row, Nigel's got money saved too, thank goodness for his overtime he's doing...his elderly dad is antsy on getting going here too, airline fares are about 900 usd...but whatever....i'm gonna fly them from birmingham to salt lake city, then tucson, easier on me having to drive to bloody phoenix....same time, 60dollars more per person but its worth it cause i used to stay overnite in phoenix and go home the next day, the old man aint roomin' with us so we're electing to fly to tucson instead. AAARRRGH

Well Nigel's getting our wedding rings in town today supposedly. I told him to get some passport pics done, he says the UK ones are the same as the US ones but I gave him ####### about it and to make SURE! lol. I got a big ol' list of things for him to check on for the interview....plus lately i'm not happy about the airline rates for when we're hoping for him and his dad to come out....we're PRAYIN' for Nov 23rd to Dec 18th for him and his dad to arrive and just dad leaving....900$USD on average....jeezzzzzzzzzzz just cause its Thanksgiving week....oh well....i'm exited on seeing our wedding rings, he had made in Birmingham....just some simple bands anyways....

Hahaha...well my mind's been going a mile a minute lately....going over stuff....Nigel's working 12 hour days 6 days a week.. and I'm just going over the things for the interview for him and making sure he has everything ready and to remind him to do things and book things...omg....this stuff's crazy...but we're doing it just fine I think! Plus we're hoping for a Dec 15th wedding...so planning that too....whew! I'm hoping all it takes is about 7 days for receiving the visa...that would be nice....ok i'll breathe now...whew! lol

Well I sure hope Nigel's visa will be approved.....oh the anxiety! Also anxiety on how long it takes to RECEIVE the packet in the mail...the airline tickets Nov 23rd and later are running about 900USD which is really high...Nigel's taking his dad with him and having him come home Dec 18th and thats a really bad travel time....but well....u know....who knows if we need any additional stuff from having Nigels "no live trace" on his police thingie. Hope they are ok about him just telling them about the tire thing as a teen...JEEZZZZZ....11 days...............

I wouldn't worry too much about the police report thingie. I'm sure it will be fine. It's not like there was a list of offenses, for example, which might make it more difficult, depending on the charge.

What's this about the child support not being counted? I never really checked into that part of it, but I did mark that my daughter was only partially supported by me.


Well...i made enough money for the 3 person income cutoff with my child support....thankfully ...so we will see if they "actually" count it as income...and he didnt have anything on his police acpo there was nothing listed but a "no live trace" so I donno....

Over-prepared is good. good.gif At the Colombian Consulate, we sat with a young woman who did not have funds to pay for her Visa, nor her I-134 documents. She was upset, and her Fiancé was probably not too happy, either.


I'm wondering why they bothered if they cant afford it....like ur gonna get it for free?
