K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Petition Approved!!	I haven't posted on here yet, but I think this deserves a post! Our status just changed online and my K1 petition is APPROVED!!!! I thought it would take a lot longer, but it's only been a little over two months (CSC)! I got used to waiting, now we have to get working on the rest of the paperwork, etc.... Quick question to anyone who has received a NOA2... how many days does it usually take to receive the notice in the mail after it's been updated online? Does the NVC contact us by letter? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Fiance Birth Certificate	Hey - someone else for a K1 in Peru!! Yay You do not have to send her birth certificate in - but you will need it for the interview - certified by RENIEC (there is an office in Lima). As far as the translations, anything that is in Spanish must be translated by a certified translator. The I-129F form says, "Any foreign language document must be accompanied by a full English translation that the translator has certified as complete and correct, and by the translator's crtification that he or she is competent to translate the foreign language into English." K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA2 and I-134 Question	I got the email for the NOA2 December 6th that our case was approved, but still haven't received the NOA2 letter in the mail. I've already gotten letters from the NVC and we have our interview date in Lima. Will I need the NOA2 letter for the interview? I called the USCIS but of course all the tell me is that I have to wait 30 days (tomorrow) until they can do anything. About the I-134 - I am filling this out and so is my father. Is that acceptable to bring two I-134's to the interview? Thanks for the All I've used the NOA2 for is for applying for AOS. I didn't need to show it at my interview in Canada. But you have to keep in mind that each embassy/consulate is different. I am assuming your father is your co-sponsor. You must bring both the sponsor and co-sponsor's I-134's. Are you calling the USCIS? When you call and the recording starts press 2, then when the next recording starts press 2 again, then when the next recording starts press 1 and you will be transferred to a customer service rep. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I AM WORRIED !!	my situation is this, i recieved my NOA2 on dec. 21st 2006. i have been calling the NVC all week and they tell me they have not recieved my petition yet. Today i called the USCIS california service center and the late (rude) told me that it is still in there building and i should allow them about 3-5 more weeks before they send it out to the NVC. Its due to the holidays. Is anybody else experienceing this same situation because they recieved a NOA2 right before the holidays. Thank you everybody in advance Did you receive the NOA2 email or physical letter? Mostly likely it has been sent to NVC - don't worry. From my experiance, USCIS service centers are never helpful - as they only have the same information as you do! They will tell you to wait and really are unable to do anything else for you. As for me I received my NOA2 email on Dec 6th and never to this day have recieved the letter in the mail. I received a letter from the NVC on Dec 18th saying they had received my petition on the 13th and were forwarding it to my consulate. My fiance called the us embassy in Lima and they already had received his paperwork and already had an interview date for him entered in the system! Unless there is something unusal to your case - you should be fine as long as follow all the rules and do everything right. There are a lot of people from Peru on this site that can help you! I'm always worrying about SOMETHING lol....right now its the worry about Nigel's air letting out --NO LIVE TRACE-- on his police thingie cause its a "stepped down" charge since he was 15. I keep on telling him to find out the date and so what, pay the 60 pounds to the court for the record...but nooooooooo......he says he'll be fine, watch, he'll be the "approved pending police certificate" thingie...JEEEZZZZZZ....I sent off the last of his forms to him being his printer's messed up and so hopefully he will get off his ####### and fill out the rest of the forms and send them when this one comes in next week. I told him to book a medical within the next 2 weeks so he can put the date on the check list enclosed and then send the whole lot of papers when he receives the last one from me....who knows, hopefully he will do this stuff after me going over it with him today....sometimes guys just listen to us girls ramble and ramble and go on and on...LOL..kinda like I'm doing now!
