CanadaThe Annoying Co-Worker Thread
Since I am in a bad mood and it is the day my ANNOYING CO-WORKER is in the office I think I am ready to vent about it.

First of all it is the wife of my boss.
She is semi retired and only comes in once a week, or if she feels like it, to pay the company bills.
Whatever. I think she just comes in to feel useful. She can't stand that a younger, hip woman has come in to take her place and she just lingers to check up on her husband and throw around her so called "status".

I, like some of you, work in a tiny, family run business.
I am the only office help.

I have been here one year and for the last 6 months her true colors have been coming out.
She huffs and puffs around the office. She will come out of nowhere and mumble under her breath about
things not being done or insinuating that something is getting on her nerves. Undoubtedly that someone who did or didn't do something is ME. I do my job to the letter and she has no reason to complain but she does. If anyone should or would complain, it should be the REAL boss here.

Sometimes her moods and outbursts are so unprofessional and demeaning that I have felt the need to call her out on it.
I don't. Why? I just know if I let myself get flared up enough I may walk out one day.

It is no secret how her demeanor is. How demanding and petty she is. I am told she is going thru menopause, which I guess gives her permission to act rude and irritated. I have had to go to my boss and tell him that her behavior has really upset me. He just flat out tells me "she is crazy" and you never know what mood she will be in.

People close to me tell me it is because she is jealous.
I am alone at work with her hubby, maybe he stands too close to me....whatever. I am a married woman!
I don't want her man. It has gotten to the point that my husband now suspects something is going offtopic45vn.gif on just because this
B is so flippant with me wacko.gif

I just know that I dread when she comes in . When it is just me and the ol' boss, it is relaxed and there are no problems, no disrespect or tension. When it is her day, I just cringe having to sit across the room from her.
I don't have my own office or cubby. My area is everyone's area mad.gif Which also means when she is bickering with her husband, I have to be subjected to it.

made chicken parmagiana last night for the first time over some bow ties

I love vegetable rolls and california rolls but I hardly doubt that really constitutes as "real" sushi blush.gif

CanadaWhat's For Dinner - Part Deux
I can eat anything at any meal.

I hate "what's for dinner".....just sayin blush.gif

I love to cook but trying to find things that everyone is kosher with all coming to the table gets tiring.

I do love the crockpot ideas though....so easy.
Butternut squash ravioli sounds delish!

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussiongeneral information regarding spousal travel
First, with a conditional 2 year residency, can my husband travel, with his own passport within the US?

Second, because he was granted residency in THIS country doesnt mean he can get visas to other countries as easily being that he was granted the visa to US.

For instance, he has brothers in Italy, if within this 2 year period we wanted to travel to Italy, could we? He would just apply for a visa to travel to Italy? What are the chances he would be granted? I guess they are still looking at him being orginally from Morocco and when he was there he couldnt get a visa at all, anywhere...OR...they will see that he currently has a visa to USA and is living there and they would give him some slack and allow him to visit Italy?

Just wanted to know if his traveling status changes at all with a 2 year residency here.. unsure.gif

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionCover Letter

We submitted nearly 70 pages of supporting documents, so I included a cover letter to outline everything. I just figured it would help if the IO (or whatever the people who review our petitions are called) find something if they were looking, rather than just shooting off an RFE. Also I explained an unusual circumstance (that we had had several temporary addresses in the last 2 years)...

A cover letter can't hurt, that's for sure.

The example that the OP references is in the guide.

thnx

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportshow to cope with the waiting
Miss G

I just wanted to tell you not to rely on when you are going to know anything. This process is completely unpredictable and everyone's situation unique as much as their outcome.

I feel the same. This process has left us in despair and my husband and I are going through a rough patch.
As you see, my husband lives in Morocco. It is neither practical nor financially possible for me to live there with him, not even on a temporary basis, so basically over the last 18 months I have seen him a mere 3 weeks worth of time.

It is frustrating as all hell and my husband is now losing hope and has been severely depressed add the fact that 3-4
months ago he was hit by a car and injured...I felt so helpless and angry that I couldnt be there for him.

It just leaves things stagnant. It puts tremendous strain on the relationship not to mention they make it a huge financial challenge to met requirements for all the things.

We are currently in AP, it has been 4 months now and 6 months since the last time I saw him. Being in AP is like being in a black hole. I could go on about the major upset we have faced in this process, but why bother, it doesnt change the fact that we are waiting and have no clue how much more long we will wait.
It has been 1 year and 2 months since we started this process. I cant tell you how many times we got hopeful and several times would begin to think he would be here soon. Now it all seems like a dream.
I am doing all I can to encourage my husband and keep him hanging on to the hopes and dreams we have but Immigration is slowly killing it. I feel so bad, not just for myself but for all of people who are so truly in love but since 9/11 it is hard to even have our SO visit us.

Even as Americans, it seems we dont have some rights we should be entitled to.

Good luck to you all!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsSecond Thoughts
It is not easy and can make you feel like you may be "wasting" time and then
what if it doesnt happen?

will this person still be the same person I was with "over there"?

second thoughts should not come after you started the process but long before you filed for them in them in the first place.

I wouldnt recommend booking your ticket at all.
Just be patient, you never know what delays you may experience.
It is not good to assume it is all in the bag.
I hope for you it is smooth sailing. Good Luck!

VietnamHave you learned your SO's language?
I think after 4 years with my SO that I would have learned some substantial Arabic however
it hasn't happened.
I know a dozen or so words and I can decipher some words when I overhear him speaking but
I am still clueless. I keep asking him to teach me but somehow life just gets in the way and it
is easier for us to communicate and just speak in English.
On the whole I find Arabic very challenging especially with pronunciation.
It is on the list though whistling.gif

It is definitely a hard road to travel. rose.gif Welcome to VJ, it is good you found this site early on. You will find alot of resources, experience and commraderie here that will you find so very heartfelt and helpful along your journey.

It can be depressing, distressing and disparaging but you need remain strong and steadfast.
My husband and I both felt the same way as you do and we had AP for nearly 6 months after having gone thru the whole K3 process and forgoing the K3 visa that he got to wait longer for CR1...it seemed neverending

It will happen, your time will come but unfortunately in this process there is no time or outcome guarantees.
There is just nothing you can really do but wait it out.
I pray that GOD gives you the patience and the strength to continue. Pray to GOD he always gives you what you need.
He is great...with HIM, all things possible good.gif
