I hope you all had a nice and relaxing weekend.
I am praying we all get some good news very soon as soon the holidays are approaching and I cant bear the thought of not having my husband with me, yet another holiday season...last week we got 2 visas....comeon NVC....let's be generous during the season of Ramdan!

What day of fasting is this for us all??? 13 for me, 14 for some.
I am feeling good tho, thank GOD.

My husband too received the 221(g) AP processing form, not once, but 2x.
The first time for the K3 visa, it took a mere 12 days, thank god
BUT he got his interview for CR1 THE SAME DAY
so we went with CR1 and now we are in AP 4 months
nothing else to tell but wait wait wait
nothing you can do
it is the hardest thing to endure
but I pray, with the guidance of what others have said, that the call will come

Well I finally have VJ back at work! I have to catch up on everything now. It's coming time to remove conditions for the hubby! We have a restrauant now. It's a med/italian/greek pizzeria called La Casa Della Pizza. It's been open for 6 weeks now. We are moving farther north of Philly to be closer to his store which will be a farther for me to get to work, but I don't mind. So everything has been good for us. NVC work IS complete but they were not responding to my CR1 AP concern, true their processing is complete but that was some time ago
I was jumping the gun and when I called DOS they told me that all information that is given is thru them
and our case is still pending
so sorry all, still in AP, still in this black hole
i wasnt really getting my hopes up
I just am trying to follow up any way I can and i followed up with the wrong department
not bad news...just NO news

we have been in AP for 4 months now regarding a CR1 visa so I dont think he'd have another "interview"

#2 I emailed the NVC/DOS in regards to our case pending, was this the right place to seek info thru email, I had called DOS before and they just said pending
#3 this is the response via email I got from NVC

I am sorry I have been out of touch....my internet is down at work and obviously that is the only time I am glued to VJ....I dont usually come on weekends..but since I am not working and stuck in the house due to rains I just wanted to say I miss hearing what is up with you all

I am hoping for some good news.....we are praying

less than a week left of Ramadan..and oh boy weekends are hard for me cuz I am not really working all day to keep distracted from the kitchen...but I have been cooking alot more moroccan meals lately, polishing up my skills for when my hubby arrives...

Nawal....I learned so much after having 3 kids
but one thing I learned is as soon as they are ready just puree and mash up everything you eat
start them young, you wont have picky eaters....good luck to you
dont stress yourself out buying expensive tricky gadgets...just a food processor or chopper will do

Nesting??? well I certainly starting nesting and not to be a downer but all the things I bought have collected dust.
I started to drink the alcohol I had purchased for our celebrating and the place has become a total mess!!!
AP is a freakin nightmare...please we need a miracle here so we can start our life.

I love fridays and because OUR PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES are in the PLAYOFFS again today, I get out a 4:30 instead of 5pm!!!!!!! whooooohooooooooooo and the weather is too delightful..

well i can relate
i am a certified personal trainer and have been a gym rat for most of my adult life
this last year without my husband has taken it's toll on me, not only was i for 1/2 of this year working my ### off with 2 jobs but also rushing home to spend time with him online after waiting all day to do so
i couldnt find the time nor did i want to take the time to work on me
I used to have a kick ### lil figure...a year ago
now after one year of eating too much and all the wrong things and NOT EXERCISING A BIT
I have gone to ####!
I am so disappointed too, even the little bit of work out I do doesnt amount to much
i have just let myself go due to depression, could care less....but when I see myself in the mirror or try on my clothes that fit me LAST YEAR...omg I want to crawl in a hole
well, add that to the fact that my husband has only seen me in the tip top of shape so I feel a little pressure
i need to lose at least 15 lbs to be back to normal ...well see what this #### process is doing to me
i swear i am going to get back on track

Terri, I cant believe you can Bstilla, this is one of my all time favs and if you can give me some tips I'll much appreciate it...I actually have been cooking up quite a Moroccan storm over at my place

as far as extended families...yeah good for kids
I have done my best to maintain on good terms with my ex, his soon to be wife and my mother in law
not to say we dont have our issues with some people in the family but for the most part we have all risen above
i do like to keep myself disconnected, out of respect for my husband and me just moving on in my life
i realize even now, more, the reasons I got out of that marriage
but ultimately I agree, for the kids sake, and being friendly
we did spend 13 - 14 years together as a family, so we do it for the kids

OMG MY HUSBAND LOVES "IT"

He loves any scary thrasher movies...it is his request that I bring some when I get over there...which I hope would be at Christmas....omg I cant believe I have to travel there again and still probably not bringing him home.
I mean dont get me wrong...I love traveling there...no problems..I just thought that by NOW we'd be done with this back and forth thing.

Zaid's Mommy...well BABA I thought meant his bottle but you know what...BABA means father too in Arabic..no?
well anyway that is what my husband asked my daughter to call him....he is her step father but I think Baba is so sweet. Always loved that, even in India, Baba means father to some.

I agree that "trying" to remain unemotional with inquiries and contact with gov't officials is important

I have succumb to the fact that we are just a number, nothing more, even after having paid them as much money as we have for all this

i have resorted to the fact that we have NO CONTROL, we are at the point now that there is nothing more we can do
