I would like to be able to keep my house. That's all I want.

I think I'm going to quit smoking today. I had one on the way to work and it totally disgusted me for some reason so I tossed it out without even smoking more than 2 puffs. I guess that's a good thing but now I need some replacement for the stress I'm under. crying.gif

pumpkin dear
about a month or so ago i got sick as a dog with some kind of bronchitis so i literally couldnt smoke
since then I smoke about 1 cigarette a day...I was up to 5 -7 cigs
imagine a personal trainer saying that blush.gif
well it can be done
for some reason whenever i am around my husband, he smokes soooooo much I always smoke less
plus i cant afford 2 major smoking habits
so thank god I think I can say, I am on my way to being smoke free
I cant stand the smell too or the taste much anymore
replacement....eating of course

Goodmornin and how are we all doing with our shopping?

I am getting there but will still probably be running around like crazy on Christmas Eve.
I have to work till noon tomorrow wacko.gif

I have never been so late in getting my things finished.

These are the nights when I am burning the candle at both ends...I am tired and ready to sleep in.

What is everyone doing on Christmas Eve??
On my father's side, Italian we always went to church and had our traditional Italian Christmas meal at my grandmother's...we open gifts too.

I wonder, does anyone open their gifts on Christmas Eve?
I cant wait to have a place big enough to entertain. I miss being the hostess with the mostess innocent.gif

Have a great day and hope you get all your shopping done.

What do I want for Christmas huh.gif
GOD gave me all I wanted and needed this year.
The means and the patience to be reunited with my husband.
This is all I could have asked for. I survived another year in good health and better prosperity in my job.

For the rest of the members and friends here, I feel your pain.
I am continuing to think of you and pray for you that your wish will come true very soon rose.gif

I wouldnt say you need a lawyer.

we had a lawyer the time we stumbled upon this site...and had we found this site first, we would
have never spent the money on a lawyer...they cant expedite things for you anyway.

This forum is very thorough and the people here are very helpful..their experience and recommendation
of resources will be sufficient help on your journey.

We were married when I filed CR1...K3 was standard procedure and K3 came thru first. It still took almost a year

My husband got his interview for CR1 the same day his K3 visa was in hand so he stayed on the extra time and AP but now he is here with a greencard and it is smooth sailing for the next couple years.

good luck

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU!!!

I am at work mad.gif
I am finished in one hour and 15 mins and still so much to do.

Well Ash I can relate and I have 3.
Could be worse you could be arguing over what the plans for the kids would be.
Kids have one plan, Dad has one and Mom has another so for now I am going to have Christmas Eve with them, they will go home late and I will have my youngest tomorrow for a little while. It may sound cruel but I would like to have some peace and quiet anyway.... Mom needs to relax too.

Staashi, I want to be where you are !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is cold and rainy here. We had ice on the road so it was all slippery driving in this morning.

I hope the rest of you arrive to your destinations safely. I hope you can receive your friends and relatives on time and safely as well.

God Bless you and your families.
I am wishing you all the best.

I will see y'all Monday

Middle East and North AfricaWhat airline do you use to fly to Morocco?
QUOTE (sandrila @ Dec 18 2008, 11:52 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Well if you dont care about layovers and 2-3 connecting flights, I'd say take the cheapest ticket you find
but if you want quality flying, one hour layover and 1 connection, I recommend AIR FRANCE.

It takes about 8-9 hours getting there, more I guess coming back, due to the wind current.

Especially for your fiance, who will at some point, be coming this way. That way there is the FRENCH CONNECTION in Paris, so navigation through that airport is easy as can be and in my experience I get off one plane and right on the next....usually about $800-$900 roundtrip good.gif

I wanted to add that I live in Philly.
I try to leave from my city cuz obviously this is easier than driving to Newark or JFK, which would be an additional 2 hours to just get to the airport.
I have connected in Dulles and JFK.
I usually have to connect in JFK or some smaller airport here then always connection in Charles deGalle in Paris..then Morocco.
I have used DELTA...bad experience, shitty service
but all in Air France with RAM good.gif

Good morning ladies

MrsAmera..I can relate because I cant ever be alone with any men unless like my father or brother.
Even at work, the toilet is downstairs and one time the guys from the office were working down there....I told him there is a lock on the door blink.gif
Sorry but some things I just cant understand...like we live amongst MEN and WOMEN

Geez

My husband had no choice but to learn English, which is no easy feat over the internet and phone. I mean I didnt know any Arabic so I wouldnt be able to understand him at all.

I am amazed that in the years prior to him arriving here he has learned so much. His accent is heavy and
his grammar isnt always correct but anyone who can hear can understand him just fine. Now we are
just fine tuning his pronouns and grammar and getting used to slang wacko.gif
As for me, I have been telling him all along I Want to learn arabic. I know some words but not much.
There is no need for us to speak in Arabic but if/when we have a child I know it would be mostly English
but definitely Arabic used by my husband. No problem but it would be nice if I could understand too whistling.gif

Thx again everyone! heart.gif Thank you all for being there during these two years of marriage and such a great support though all our ups and downs. Thank you for having patience with me and us and helping us work through our differences and answering my questions. I have learned so much from all of you! If we make it to 5 years I'm inviting you all to our wedding! It's going to be a big one!!! We are waiting and saving for it now.

I am so glad I am getting to talk to him tonight. There are no orders to move him yet.

He is just telling me right now that he doesn't know when they are taking him yet. They told him the same thing as yesterday, "Just get ready Doc."

He is packed and ready to move to the new post in the Sinai desert. He will be the only military doctor for the security units that sweep the desert and patrol the boarder there.

We at least know the official breaks now.

It is such a relief too. To have additional income after all these years and to see him finally being
productive. I said it doesnt matter what you get at first, as long as you can establish some sort of
work history. We all know how hard it is for AMERICANS to get a new job and even keep their old one.
HE IS BLESSED. And I was thrilled that he doesnt have to do something demeaning and for too low pay.

We havent spent any time apart, except for me working, so I didnt know what to do with myself actually
being alone whistling.gif

THANK GOD, HE HAS BEEN SO GOOD.

I think the holidays have most on vacation and movin a little slower these last couple weeks.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!

Hubby and I had a nice New Year's Eve at home, watched the ball drop, banged a little pots and pans.
Does anyone else do that anymore? In Philadelphia is very traditional.

New Year's Day we went to a nice MiddleEastern restaurant for some Schwarma and middle eastern combo (love those salads!)
Saw a little of the Mummer's Parade too!

HUBBY GOT A JOB! He started last night. He works for my ex-employer now...thank god for contacts and a good reputation. I know it is quite an adjustment for him but I am so proud and I hope for the first time in his life he can feel good about being independent and living in a country where you really can prosper good.gif

I know a lot of ppl that use their US passport simply for travel and ease. THey maintain Egyptian citizenship. He actually would not lose any citizenship but have both. The only difference is that he will have so many more rights in the states (vote, travel more easily, access to citizen services if needed etc.) What is his hesitation?

Despite the craptastic government in egypt, he still loves his country and feels a deep sense of pride in being egyptian. Splitting the loyalty is a tough one for him. We'll have to sit down and talk about it soon, to see what's going on. I'm all for it. If we ever moved to the gulf, he'd have so many more opportunities as an american, especially for higher paying jobs.
