You will get it by email. It can take 2 weeks or more. Embassy is pretty busy these days I heard so it might take more than 2 weeks. You cannot get the medical done until you have packet 4 in hand. The reason for that is that you have to show the packet to the doctor who conducts the exam.

Yeh we can do that. Is there anything of that sort already? I would think so...

To my surprise I just received an email from Islamabad embassy and CEAC status got updated to as of Aug 2nd. Status still shows READY. And in the email they said our case is AP and it's approximate time so hard to tell the maximum....

Did your status get an update on CEAC?

Bro I think embassy is just slow issuing our spouses' visa. I think you are not in AP coz that take months!! Did your congress man call the embassy or DoS? DoS tells AP to everyone. I think it's not the same AP which embassy means. You know what I mean?

Status still shows READY. However, I sent Islo embassy an inquiry 2 days ago and they replied telling me the same old stuff like our case is pending in AP and they dont know the max time. And that they haven't forgotten about us and if we don't hear back from them in 6 months then we shud send them another inquiry. Because of their reply they updated my last updated date to Aug 7th.

Man lots of people are stuck in this nasty blackhole. Allah karay Eid ka baad sab ka visa release ho jain. Ameen.

Hahaha I hope he is still in 2013 ;-) I think they just issue/print/mail visas to these categories once a month. Next week is the last week of this month so InshaAllah I'm very hopeful.

Was tryin to email then but neva got reply frm them


So did the CO tell your spouse to wait 7-10 days and Karachi AmEx will call her to collect visa package+passport? I thought they only did that with CR1 category. Hmmm yeh I've been shooting them 2 emails a day but to no avail. InshaAllah next we might see updates.

Bro I don't know what is happening with my case.All they told her was in 7-10 days she will get a call from Karachi AmEX and it has been 9 days but no sign of any calls! I checked the visa status on CEAC site and it says our case is READY for interview. It doesn't make sense since her interview has already been done on 11th July!!

Hi guys, I just wanted to share something that one of my close friends shared with me. He also went through the same Fiancee visa process few months ago. One thing he indicated is that they were waiting for NVC to receive their file but when they didn't hear anything for few weeks, they checked with the embassy in India and his fiancee's file was already sent there (may be it came through NVC) but there is a good chance that some of you who have been waiting for more than 15 days, your files may have already crossed the NVC stage or it may have not. There is no guarantee but it won't hurt to send one e-mail to the embassy to check if they have anything there. Just a thought that I wanted to share. As it is we have been trying everywhere, one more on the list won't hurt. Also, I am sure every country's embassy may be different so obviously things may be different. 

 

Please give this a try if you would like to. I will.

I think this is good news for all out, but I guess they are not shipping them in order of NOA2 since mine was a few days before you. But I think it's good news still. Some activity!

I hope they sent out all ours and just didn't update the status for all cases yet.


It could very well be true Dustin. May be they just havent updated all the statuses yet but lets hope they have sent out the batches full of thousands of approvals. This week and/or next week hopefully all of us should see that status change. Keep posting guys as soon as you see/hear anything.

Usually it's 8 weeks or more for other visas... They keep telling me 15 working dys when I tell thm I have a fiancé visa ... Did u tell thm it was a fiancé visa

Hi Pacharya! For Australia, you don't really need to update the beneficiary's address unless you just really want to. They e-mail packet 3 and 4, so it doesn't need to be updated for that. And for when they mail you back your passport, they used the pre-addressed envelope you supply at the interview. I have read on the regional forum to bring an updated G-325A just in case if you want. Any way, do what makes you feel comfortable. I just wanted to let you know in case you were stressing about it! smile.png

It seems that everyone is getting the same either 30 to 60 days or 8 weeks response. I just received my approval on 6/28 and I am not sure if I should start calling them after the responses you all have been getting. However, I have to change the address for beneficiary while the file is at NVC so I guess my best bet would be to keep calling them every day in case they receive it early and send it out (being optimistic here :) )

yep, I am on the same boat guys. Was transferred to TSC from VSC. Received my approval on June 28th so still not expecting NVC to have our case. I will try to call them on Monday and see if they have our case. Will keep you guys posted.

The sputum test is for TB. When she went for medical they take ex-ray and  they saw scar in the lungs now she has to go back to the medical clinic 3 days in row to give sample of what she coughs up. They then grow the  culture for 2 months to to see if TB grows. If positive for TB then it is 6 month treatment after that, if negative then she can go for Embassy interview. So it is Minimum of like 2-3 more months.

 

I strongly suggest that you get your prospective spouse to have a medical exam very early on in this process and test specifically for TB so you can deal with it early on!!!

 

So sorry to hear this. It is the last thing you want especially after waiting this long to be with her. I sincerely hope she tests negative and you guys can be together ASAP. Good luck !!

So after waiting exactly a week (counting business days only) we finally received an e-mail for packet 3. The whole day yesterday I kept on checking on CEAC website and nothing changed on there. However, yesterday evening around 7:30 p.m. we received an e-mail for Packet 3. I was speechless and happy. Then I checked the CEAC website again and finally it said Ready. So it seems (at least for Sydney) that they change the status on CEAC website once they send out the packet 3.  I know some of you have already scheduled your interviews. Good luck to you all ! And the ones who are still waiting to get the number from NVC or waiting for their cases to reach the Consulate, just be patient. It will happen when you least expect it. Good luck to you all !!

That's weird. I tried tracking via DHL and with reference of July 23, this is the tracking:

It was picked up on Jul 24 and arrived on Jul 29.

 

With reference of July 22, it was picked up on Jul 23 and arrived on Jul 26.

 

Maybe the Australian embassy takes a while to scan it as received for some reason, but if they sent it out on Jul 23, it should already be in the building there.

 

I know vbtwo, I have also tried both the waybill numbers and have been tracking it ever since NVC told me that they have sent it out but for whatever reason NVC still hasn't changed the status and/or Sydney Consulate still hasn't entered it into the system. Let's see what happens next as none of them seem to be anymore helpful at this point.

Yes, mine too. My fiancé called the DOS and apparently packet 3 has been mailed out to me, yay!

 

You guys are lucky. Our case left NVC on 23rd of July and still Consulate hasn't received it. I just called DOS only to find out the same thing. Sydney consulate hasn't received the case yet. More waiting...

Just called the DOS even though they gave me the 8 week bs yesterday annnnd found out my case was opened today, we have our number and it is scheduled to ship to London tomorrow. OMG finally! smile.png took 8 days from the email.

Called the DOS and just got off the phone. I got the information that my physical case was received on the 26th and they also prepared pack 3. She could not tell me if pack 3 was already send but told me that it is usually send out within a few days. So I guess all I can do now is wait patiently for Pack 3 to arrive - please let it be tomorrow!!!

 

So DOS is able to provide the status on your case even when it is at the Consulate? interesting. I should try calling too then.

Status of my case has been "In Transit" since last Tuesday on CEAC website. I don't know how long it will take for it to get to Sydney. I hope I hear something in a day or two.

mine say IN TRANSIT since monday! ughh..i wonder how far Kenya is to take that long. :-(

 

Mine also says IN TRANSIT. I did send an e-mail to NVCInquiry when after three weeks of my approval I didn't hear a word from NVC (which was on 15th July) and just yesterday I received a response back from NVC stating that my case has been sent to the Consulate and all the future inquiries should be directed to Consulate. Well thanks NVC, I had already found out on 22nd of July that a number was assigned to my case and it left NVC on 23rd. In any case I am glad its on its way to the Consulate. Getting one step closer at time. 

 

All I wish and pray for is for all those who are still stuck at TSC. May God move things faster for them as well. This wait is ridiculous.
