Yesterday Sept.4, my fiance called VSC using the RFE trick i told him in the morning while at his work. He was so nervous of what the person would tell him. lol The person only told him that we don't have an RFE and that it's still pending. I think the person just read it online. My fiance called the VSC again in the afternoon and this time, he got to talk to a real nice lady. The lady said they have our file and that it's in the right place. My fiance said the lady was concerned. She said their processing time is 6 months from the receipt date, but she said to expect ours in less than 30 days. She also said they dont have someone assigned right now but she said it'll be done before 30 days. We're expecting it by mid-September... weeeeeeeeeeeee please please pray for everyone...muuaaaaaahhhhh I really, really hope all May filers will get approved soon... Applying for a US Tourist visa is easy, getting one is hard. From what I undestand in reading the forums, it does NOT impact the K1 visa process. However, being granted a Tourist visa is subject to proving that you will return to the Philippines, which will be hard. The Embassy looks for extensive family ties, as well as material assets (home, bank accounts, land/business holdings), and contracts which will compell you to return. We tried to get one for mahal ko and even with modest bank account, open business that she owned, and children remaining in Philippines they would not grant it to her. Oh so sorry to hear that Frank. yeah, i understand it's really hard to be granted a visitor visa especially when you're under K1 petition. Well, i'll just have to wait. What I did was I choose 5 best chatlogs in a month from the message archive and just take a screenshot of each nice conversation that could show the adjudicator of our relationship. That already includes the smileys and the timestamps(date and time) which is also very important. I know there are many nice conversations that you and your fiance had but just choose the best. Then this guy started giving him infos like our case number and that the case has been forwarded to the embassy today!!! My fiance asked him if he could give him the medical and interview appointment schedules and he said to call the Visa Center in Washington DC for that matter!
