Oh dude I have called them everyday and spoke to an operator and they say they have not received the case in the office yet. They say that USCIS probably has not mailed it off to them yet.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Hello all I am new to this
Hello all

Hopefully you can give me some calm down advise. I am awaiting as patient as I can. I received approval of my I-129F on October 17, 2006 and my letter says that CIS sent it to NVC in New Hampshire. Well its been over 4 weeks and NVC has no record of it. I thought my baby would be here for christmas, but I have it set in my mind that she won't be, and that's ok we will have many together in the future.

I look forward to chatting with some of you.

Thanks for your support

National Visa Center (Dept of State)My case was approved But????

We're in a similar boat. Our I 129F was approved on October 25th. NVC has nothing on our case yet. Some take longer than others, I guess. I have seen people who were approved after us who's cases are at the embassy. It appears to be random.

Unfortunately, NVC and the NOA2 say it can take up to 90 days, so there is nothing we can do, but wait.

Hang in there...

Thank you for the response. So I do have some hope. I am thinking its lost. Maybe ours will be done around the same time.

Thanks for the reply. They really help a lot.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)My case was approved But????
I got my I-129F approved on October 16, 2006 and my I-797 says that it was sent to the NVC in Vermont. I called NVC today and they still have not recieved it. Does anyone know possibly why its not there yet? I am so discouraged. I called CIS after talking to NVC and they are sure it was sent as the NOA says.

Thanks for your help

If hemorrhoid is not a problem but why doctors asked to spread butt cheeks during medical exam?
If doctor found out we have this hemorrhoid , do we need to wait couple of months to cure?
Need Ur answer please..

I can tell you that you do not have to worry, they are very common in the Philippines due to the diet over there. Just get some Preparation H and calm down. It is not a disease. I am sure the physical is just a look over your body to make sure your not bringing a disease to the USA.

You will be ok...Unless its infected and causing you major problems.

From what I understand back years ago before internet was so popular. Couples met through a PENPAL program and it was just by letters (snail mail). Internet is nothing but a PENPAL system. I don't see how it would be a problem to meet online. There are wonderful people online too, and couples that meet online can fall in love.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionWhat's inside PACKET 3?

Many of you who read my post in the past may have known that my wife doesn't understand English. She has never had an education. I give her money every month so she can goto school to learn English. She just learned how to read Khmer, her native language, a few months ago. Her life was tough when she was younger growing up with no parents, and life of improvishment. She's very sweet, and fair.

She was a victim of human trafficking. A restaurant owner in Thailand kept her as a slave worker inside his restaurant. He kept her passport so she cannot return to Cambodia. My friend found out what was happening, and went to save her before any thing worse could happen. She's only one year younger than I. Before I met her, her fingernails was worn and torn. I married her because she remains fair to everybody despite her adversity.

Now, I want to let her know what's involved in packet 3. She lives in Cambodia, so, if the packet was mailed to her, I would need to tell her what needs to be filled out and what has to be done. Please, inform me. Thank you! :star:

wow what a wonderful person you are to do this for her. I wish you all the best...Do not give up on her..no matter what it takes.
It sucks that all this revolves around money, it makes me sick. But we gotta do what we gotta do..... :)

Claudeth did her CFO in Cebu. That is where she caught the international flight so decided to do it there rather than going to Manila so you do have options.

thanks everyone for the info.

may i ask again if it is okay to have the cfo after the interview at the manila embassy?

yes that way you can get the sticker too. You cant get the sticker until you have your passport back after the interview. When she goes to St Lukes they will keep the passport. My girl got her CFO done before her medical and interview. She will go back after her interview to get the sticker. We are just trying to get things done before her interview. She is doing the medical early too. Oh yea and CFO is a total of 650PhP.

a big thanks to you!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US!!!

oops sorry

Make sure you do CFO before the medical or after interview. St Lukes keeps the passport and then forwards it to the consular for the interview. Passport is needed at CFO registration....

My fiancee just went to the embassy this morning for her interview in manila. How long do you think she will be in there before they tell her she was approved or not? I just read about the brit in england, but thats england...anyone know how long they are in there in manila? an hour? 3 hours? 8 hours?

They want to move them fairly quickly, so I would say no later than 12:00 Noon, but remember they don't allow cell phones anymore in the embassy.
and the time there...now is almost 8am. I know it must be a nail biter......I will pray for ya.......

Great way to put it...Go forward with what you need to do and keep your head up....and have confidence in yourself and you will do fine....

If you need to talk or chat, this is the place as you see. VJ has been the most wonderful place to vent and find information. It's like a huge family here. If everyone worried about themselves and dealt with there own issues. This world would be a more pleasant place. People want to worry about everyone elses problems to avoid there own. Thats what pisses me off......oh I am getting fired up......

Keep in Touch Maore you seem like a good person.....I'll fight for ya... :bonk:
DaveandFleurMalePhilippines2007-03-28 19:45:00
US Embassy and Consulate Discussionhow many coloured CO in London ?

In the US:

To be Black you have to be African American.

 In the UK: the word went through quiet a lot of phases
1960's let us label all these bloody british subjects from some funny tropical places as Blacks ( mainly west indians/ and indians)
then suddenly people realised oups it looks like these guys do not eat the same thing - alright then some will be afro carribeans and other asians (and no we do not include all the guys from the very far east- we got no idea when they will come around for the party)

[\quote]
To use the term coloured, or colored, you also have to be Black, US style.
As far as CO's are concerned, I can not comment, I do not see colour, I have moved beyond it.

By couloured I meant anyone without a scandinavian look or someone with a pronounced sun tan (trust me on this, my observation skills made me fail my driving test twice) <_<

Fair enough if you see beyond and I have to recommend you for it.
I have seen a comedy show about a south african bus driver during apartheid: he was driving and some white and black kids started a fight in his bus because one group insisted on sitting in the front seats of the bus. He stopped the bus and shouted " stop it !! there is no more blacks and whites , you are all green . Now we have this one sorted out ,all the dark green please sit in the back and the light green in front of the bus".

I was brought up in a multi cultural society/family: my friends are from england, vietnam, portugal, tunisa, ireland, india, china, algeria, ivory coast and senegal . because basically we were brought up in the same dirt cheap place and went through the same experiences. Do I see colour or focus on it ? I think I focus on a lack of it and I promote/strive on diversity (yes I do include my whities brothers/sisters in it). I would be bored to be living in a place only full of martians (even if they are fun to be around).

No organisation can afford not to be diverse because it create a dumb workforce (imagine a workforce with only guys like me): people thinking the same way and taking the same decisions.

Let me give you a concrete example how dangerous it is : do you think a mixed "race" CO would ask to a mixed couple " why did you marry a chinese " ,yes I was asked this question and I fell silent to such an idiotic question. But I would definitely ask to a couple from liverpool and manchester why they got married ?
:

I think your thinking too much. Your a person like everyone else. When you begin to segregate yourself, then you will tend to think what others think of you. Don't worry. Especially where I come from in Seattle, Washington state, there are mixed couples everywhere, we don't even take a second look.

Good luck in your adventure and don't think about it so much....

I am feeling really bad for Marlene, we or I have really trashed this thread for her. I hope she's ok.

Marlene, my mom is a nurse she has confirmed that a hemorrhoid is in fact not a disease, and you have nothing to worry about.

Don't worry, I think Marlene got the information she was after. That's the whole point, right? Everything that comes after doesn't really matter so much...

That's right, I think too if it was serious we wouldn't joke about it. This might help her too.....

i bet if you told the officer at the interview that your spouse applied the creme for you, you'd really impress them with the strength of your relationship.

i bring this up only because i remember a friend telling me that her mother's husband did this for her. very touching in a "i wanna puke" kind of way.

That is very "touching"

Hemorrhoids are not a big deal. Not a disease. Don't worry about it - it will have no negative effect on your visa. You can take care of it with a cream from the doctor.
