K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	beneficiary birth certificate required for I-129F / K1?	There has been some who applied for the I -129- F and received an RFE requesting the beneficiary's BC. Although it is not required , some people send it in anyway, as it is better to be safe than sorry. Then there are some who simply do not send in the beneficiary's BC and are never asked for it while their petition is being processed and are approved . So like karin und otto stated, I would definitely call him/her and inquire the case number. Also, be glad that you are going through vermont. Well...I assume I'm going through Vermont since Mike is from maine and the lawyer is in Mass but...is vermont really so much better? YES! Oh heck yes !! My first attempt was last year during the IMBRA mess, and I know we waited two days before the six month mark only to get a denial. We were only ' touched ' maybe four times in all. There were a few who had filed before us then, and those few did not receive their answers till long after us. So, I think I can do this time without even breaking out into a sweat.
