K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Confusion about NVC letter??	Hello everyone,    We got our NVC letter today and says (THE US EMBASSY OR CONSULATE WILL CONTACT YOUR FIANCE(E) WHEN THEY ARE READY TO PROCESS HIS OR HER PETITION. IN THE MEANTIME, PLEASE HAVE YOUR FIANCE(E) AND HIS OR HER CHILDREN VISIT CEAC.STATE.GOV AND COMPLETE FORM DS-160 TO APPLY FOR K VISA)   Does this mean that I have to go online and fill the D-160 and wait for them to call me? or I to continue and pay online and book an appointment. Because in UAE we have another website where we can log in and pay for the visa and book appointment. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Still in AP after almost 2 months	I had my interview on February 25 and they said my visa was approved and give them 1 month to process my visa. When I sent an email they said that my case has been reviewed and enter to further mandatory administative processing. But my CEAC status still READY from the very beginning till now. I don't have any idea when my visa to be issued. I thought my visa will be issued in one month that's why I filed a resignation right after the interview because I need to notify my company 3 to 4 months prior to my resignation for them to find my replacement. Thank god my boss is very understanding and he allow me to extend till I receive my visa. Hopefully waiting is over and I'll get a good news this coming days or a week. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	221 g further administration processing k1	My fiance was not asked to show proof of our relationship during his visa interview. He was just asked five questions about me and couple about hiself then the person interviewing him handed him the yellow form 221g for further administration process. They gave his passport back but kept everything else. I heard it could take months or even longer. Now its been just one month. Nothing new. Ive been checking the ceac website and it says under ap.. the date however keeps getting updated. Last time I tried to check it said application error but I think the system is having a issue. Anyways the next day after my fiance interview he got a call from the embassy asking him questions about his family and him. Then the guy asked for his email and so on... hi there i don't about in your country but theres some couples here from pakistan thats been waiting for long time under ap..you should call the NVC and check on real status even their not much help...on mine situation my fiancee had his interview and approved but they hand him 221g and requested some documents which we sent one month a go and until now we haven't heard from them they haven't even review the document we sent so i called NVC and all they told me is to wait.. at this point i guess all we can do it wait inshallah we will be with our love ones.. good luck	salie_adnan10	Not Telling	Saudi Arabia	2014-02-16 22:38:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Can my fiance petition for a K-1 before I receive my divorce papers?	Hi,   I have met and am going to be marrying a wonderful American lady. I have, however, not completed the process of divorce of my past relationship. I am thus in the process of divorce, which should be finalized in the next 7 weeks (first week in December). Is it possible for my fiance to petition for a K-1 visa before I have received my divorce papers, or will these be needed? I understand that the petition for the visa takes about 6 months, which is quite a while, so I wanted to know if we could start the process now as I my ex-wife and I have already signed the settlement agreement and it is just a matter of it walking through the court process and waiting for our court date to get the papers.   Also, I wanted to know if there would be any problem with me traveling over on my tourist visa (I have a new 10 year visa) for the months before the K-1 visa is issued.   Any revelations of this would be greatly appreciated. as far as i know from my other friends that ur divorce has to be final before you can actualy file for the k1 because it required you to send them a copy of your divorce paper good luck	salie_adnan10	Not Telling	Saudi Arabia	2013-10-10 17:10:00

I received a letter from the Embassy in Bangkok saying they can now begin to process the visa. The website USCIS was updated about 10 days before saying it is approved. But I never did receive anything in the mail from USCIS or NVC. The only way  I knew the Embassy got my file was they letter they sent. I must say it was very fast after the website approval, like less than 2 weeks that I got the Embassy letter. Just wondering if I was supposed to get anything from USCIS or NVC in the male. I have no approved I-129, just the embassy letter to prove it's approved. Nothing to my fiancee either. For example, if you make $15k and need $20k, then you would need about $25k in assets.
