K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresneed advice for CR1 n K3 situation
Hi everyone. My husband received a letter from NVC two weeks ago saying that they have received our documents from the 1-129F and that it will be forwarded to the Manila US Embassy. There was also a case number given. Two days after that, he got another mail from NVC with another case number and Invoice ID number. He paid the Affidavit of Support bill already using these. Maybe because of excitement, we didnt notice that there were two different case numbers given. We are in the process of sending in the I-864 and tax returns to NVC but he called NVC and found out that the first number given to us was for the K3 visa and the second for CR1. What do u advice should we do? Should i call Manila US Embassy to ask if they have our documents already? We just want to be together as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your help. This forum has been a huge help.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresques abt K3 interview
QUOTE (MikenKyhen @ Jun 15 2009, 10:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
As long as your mother-in-laws income exceeds the requirements there should be no reason that you would have to present proof of assets. Good luck. mike

thank u!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresques abt K3 interview
Hi everyone. Will be having my interview soon and i'm getting a little nervous. Aside from determining if the relationship is really genuine and if the petitioner is financially capable of supporting me, are there any factors that interviewers give importance to? My concern is that my mother-in-law agreed to be a cosponsor because my husband's income is not enough, her annual income though exceeds 125% of the poverty line for 3 people (my husband is also a dependent). Since her income already exceeds the poverty line, we didnt present her assets, etc anymore. DO you think we will have a problem with that? thank u again in advance.

US Citizenship General DiscussionWill be applying for Naturalization with Criminal Record

Hi Everyone!

My husband is 20 years Greencard holder. He is planning to apply for Naturalization within this year. but we have several problems though. please help us out.

1. My husband has a criminal record for attempted robbery when he was 18 years old (his 32 now) and he was imprisoned for 2 days; and his drivers license was suspended because of illegal racing during his younger years. Is he still allowed to be Naturalized Citizen?

2. My husband left the US last June 2013 and returned on August 2013 ( 2.5 months) because we are getting married at July 2013. Is it true that he have to wait for 3 months prior to his return to the u.s. which will be Nov 2013 before starting to apply for Naturalization?

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionManila Embassy Interview

Well, Luz and her son FINALLY finished their medical. It took a whole WEEK! Let me explain. They went to Manila on monday. Since Robin is 15 they separated them and had him go through with the men. Everything seemed to go OK at first. Then they told Luz that they wanted the psyc report from her annulment. So she had to have her sister go back to Olongapo and fax it to her. No big deal really. But with Robin it was a problem. During the interview part of the exam they started asking him questions like have you ever had this or that illness. When they asked him if he ever had "hepa" (hepatitis) he didn't know what they were talking about. He got confused and said yes. :( So they stopped his exam right there and told him to go to an outside hospital and have some blood tests done and come back with the results. The next day they went to the hospital and had the blood taken from Robin. Luz also got her papers that they wanted. They would not have the results from the test until wed. So on wed they got the results (negative of course) and went back to St. Lukes. Luz finished her exam, got her vaccinations and was OK. Robin was another story. They came up to Luz and said they had found something "suspicious" on his x-ray. They wanted to do more x-rays. So they had to go back the next day and have more pictures. On friday they went back and Robin finished the exam and the vaccinations. There was nothing wrong with his x-rays. So a 2 day exam turned out to be a week!!! What an ordeal for them. I am just glad it's over.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionVisa error - son listed as a girl!
Hi,

You have to returned the visa to the embassy and show them the error so that they can issue a new visa, like what happened to my sons visa, they made a mistake on his nationality, they put JPN but his a FILIPINO with a Philippine passport, after 2 days I came back to the embassyand pick-up my sons passport with a new visa.
I hope this could help. Goodluck.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPolice Certificate

I married an American citizen in March 2009 here in Manila and he submitted his visa petition package for me and it was already received but still pending. I worked and lived in Dubai, UAE for 4 years and I read that Police certificate (from Dubai or any other countries you lived in for 2 years) is needed when you go for US visa interview. So, what I did was, I asked my friend in Dubai to submit all my documents needed for the issuance of police clearance (fingerprints authenticated by Dept. of Foreign Affairs and attested by UAE Embassy, Manila and other docs). It was issued but the problem is the validity of that document is only 3 months and I'm sure it will be expired once they call me for visa interview. But it has been 17 months since I left Dubai when I applied for that police certificate and I haven't been back there since. My question is, can I still show it to the Embassy personnel and just explain?

Hi we have a similar situation my interview is this coming friday june 26, I worked in Taiwan 8 yrs ago (1999-2001) for 2 yrs and I got my police cert. last 2003 it was the same police cert i submitted to the NVC for my ds230 and the accepted it. For my opinion I think its ok not unless you work there again after that.

thanks.
