*sigh* educated than me??? oh pls.. laughing.gif
u just said "its a fact that some filipinos eat dogs."..
so that doesn't mean it's the favorite food of the filipinos.. whistling.gif
and "some filipinos" do not represent whole filipino people..
how did u come up with the idea that "im tryin so hard to be good"?? rofl.gif
i dnt need to "try or try so hard" to be good cos i know im good enough.. wink.gif
and ooohhhh im too sensitive?? then why are u so focused at my posts??
why are u not replying to other people who agreed this post is offensive???
am i your favorite?? are u being sensitive?? who's hateful now??
are u getting mad cos i said maybe it's your favorite food that's why your husband made this thread?? rofl.gif
is that an open-minded attitude??? i dnt think so.. no0pb.gif

ooohhh nothin else to say??? rofl.gif tsk, tsk..
i always believe that when a person talks nonsense to support an argument..
it indicates that either the person or the person's argument is weak or prolly both.. whistling.gif whistling.gif

Hello fellow vj,

I Have concern... i have a friend that file her k1 visa...but she is not register here in vj jouney and she have question that i cant answer..so i am hoping some people can answer her question.she was exposed to a person that carrier and positive to tuberculosis. and wen she went to the doctor for check -up,and she got a skin test and x-ray...she was positive to the skin test and negative to her chest x-ray..is this can affect or detect on her medical ? knowing that she is negative and not contagious?

Now she take one pill today..but she really dont want to take it for 9 months bcoz she is so afraid for the side effects.. what
is the best thing to do? she is worried that mayb st.lukes medical hopital can detect that on her urine and blood test that she is taking a medications??
.i
she is now 4th month for her k1-visa,and she will approve soon, and that is her big problem..the doctor said its optional..but she is really confused now...hope someone can give me a advice on this problem

Thing is, SLEC will do their own CXR. It will be prudent for her to tell the examiner at the Immunization history room as her urine will turn out orange when she goes for the urine exam. And tell her to bring her Xray.

Rule of thumg: when it comes to the visa process...do not lie.

Where exactly the annotation written?I looked for it on my son's visa and only find the "derv of Ms Unknown" written.Am i missing something/?Im really curious about this because my son went through a 6 month treatment for primary complex before he had his medical.SLec is fully aware of my son's medical history ..Im just curious why i cant find the Class A or B thing that everyone else is talking about..
talk about paranoia..hehe unsure.gif please enlighten me..
thanks..god bless
it's in your visa

Thank you very much for this info. Yes, I am a doc but when it comes to my child, the doc takes a back seat and the maternal instinct takes over. I still take her to the doc for a simple cough or cold, even if I know there is nothing serious, but it seems that I lose all my knowledge when it comes to her.

Yes, it was a good choice that you declined the option of giving your kids anti-TB drugs. These drugs have very notorious side effects and if it can produce effects in adults, how much more in children whose elimination system is not as well-developed as an adult. Is why I do not give my child any antimicrobial unless absolutely necessary, and most certainly not a strong one. Her immune system is pretty strong despite the frequent cases of cough and cold in the environment, esp in school. And she certainly does not lack appetite (she eats.....umm....3 meals and several snacks) which is the usual harbinger or Primary Complex or childhood TB. Was just alarmed by the annotation. Class A TB is infectious TB, after all, and would alarm anybody.

So, we wil have her go for a repeat X-ray once there, and whatever US Immigration tells us. Plus, we have reservations already and I am not so keen on a Feb trip....fares cost more too.

Again, thank you and have a very Happy Holidays!

Is the annotation on your daughter's visa really class A? if she has been given a class A annotation and she was not required to undergo sputum test and/or treatment maybe there was just a mistake. My kids had class B2 annotations which is not active, not infectious tb... and the recommended optional 9months tb treatment was just for "prevention" according to health department here, just in case the PDD positive result was not because of the BCG but real exposure to people with active tb... when you get here you just have to stand your ground. they read me some stuffs about tb and also the benefits of the preventive treatment (and only skimmed through the page on side effects blink.gif )... i cut them off, i told them i already studied what i could about my kids case, i told them also that my kids never had any history of primary complex, that we don't live in squatters area or depressed areas in the Philippines, that there is no history of tb in my family and my kids go to a private school where exposure to tb was lesser compared to public schools and if they would really insist on my kids getting the treatment, they should at least give them another tb test, the "quantiferon-tb gold test" (which is available to big city department of health facilities but not in small cities like ours here).. i know anybody could be exposed to tb anywhere in the philippines but i just have to say something so they would stop pushing for the so-called 9months preventive tb treatment. When i first declined, they went out and discussed something (2health workers), then they came back and went at it again, i stood my ground and said the stuffs i just mentioned, they went out and discussed again and then came back and had me signed papers saying i declined the treatment and told me that should i change my mind, i could go for it anytime i want to. They also advised me that since quantiferon tb test is not available in their facility, i should try to get the it in a private hospital or any hospital in the bigger city just to eliminate any doubts. (i really ought to, wala palang time to go there and wala paring budget) I just said, ok and thank you.

department of health office standards and procedures vary slightly from state to state and county to county, just arm yourself with everything you know about tb and your child's medical history and you will be good to go.

i wish you the best and have a happy holidays. rose.gif
dbears, my daughter's visa had also this in her visa Annotation Class A or B (TB)....etc, i just received our visa today and we are leaving on the 28th of this month. What will I do at the POE? Is there any problem with my daughter's visa? PLS HELP!

Philippinesmistake petition
Hi everyone! I just want to have an idea about the petition of my brother. My mom petitioned us as single F1 ( me, a sister and a brother), we received our letter fron NVC (January 2008) to let us know that our petitioned is already on process. During that time, me and my sister discovered that my brother(43 yrs. old) got married 1992. He kept it in secret because my mom might feel bad about him. And so... he got married BEFORE HE WAS PETITIONED by my mom. We tell it to our mom about it and she feels disgusted because my brother is really the favorite of our mom (the only boy spoiled brat)! When we got another letter from NVC for a fee of Visa Processing, my mom just pay for me and my sister, she did not include my brother because he's married already. We are here in US already and we are seeking for lawyer's help (Atty. Laguatan). According to him, he can still come here and what he can do is to change his status from single to married. But sometimes this attorney gives us no assurance that's why I was able to call the NVC about my brother's case. They told me that his case went back to USCIS because they found out that he got married and told me that his case have to be PETITIONED AGAIN! oh my God! I felt sad for my mom, until now, she don't know anything about it!...ANYONE WHO READS THIS, CAN YOU GIVE A LITTLE ADVICE OR WHAT'S THE BEST THING WE COULD DO. IS IT TRUE THAT THIS APPLICATION COULD BE BACK TO ZERO?

They do investigation, most likely a secret investigation and applicants required to show proof of singleness too.

thank you for all the response and I think this is a big problem to my brother. all we know is he still can come here. I hope there's still other way, maybe he can come here for tourist. What do you think?

yes, bcoz even if he attend the interview,he will still have the denial bcoz he got married. It happened to the brother of my mom's friend. When their father petitoned him single F1...he got married and thought the USEM will not knew about his status,so he went to his interview and he was shocked that the USEM found out that he's not single anymore and thats the reason of his denial.

just recently when we are here already in the US, our lawyer made a letter that my brother was already married. It's better to tell the truth because we all know that telling a lie is a big issue, right!( We received our petitioned January 1993, my brother got married 1992) it's i think in my mom's case, she doesn't have any idea while applying for a petition for his son as F1 Single is that, he is married already)

Hi. I'm just wondering how efficient the posted dates are in the immigration timeline? It seems to go back and forth sometimes. Our NOA1 for I-130 and I-129F were approved on the last week of october and first week of november respectively. I always check our case status at the USCIS website and my husband always checks his mailbox, it had not been touched nor any mails. Is there any October/November filers here? Thank you.

Many reasons for the timelines to go back and forth, sometimes the USCIS offices seem to be working quickly, and other times they seem to be slowing down. One of the big reasons here on VJ is that people create a profile and enter a timeline and never return to edit it or delete it if there is a breakup. Looking at Igor's list, it seems that about 12% of cases do this. Another big one is the number of people filing each month with the 2 big centers. Also looking at Igor's list will show surges from one month to the next which makes them appear to change speeds.

QUOTE (Matt & Jovy @ Jul 2 2009, 01:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hey all, does anyone know if the 45 days currently shown for the Manila embassy is the time that the embassy is setting? ie you call them up and they give you an appointment 45 days out or is this just the avg as some people just take that long to get all the requirements together? I think we will have most of our requirements completed well before 45 days so are we able to schedule an appointment sooner than that? Thanks!

Based from my experience, i called up june 5 and the person said i can schedule interview as soon as june 11 but at that time i didn't had all the documents ready yet so to be sure i set the interview date for the 2nd week of july.

Im looking for anyone who has had there visa either approved or denied using a co-sponser from there interview in the philippines. Ive been hearing conflicting stories about this embassy in manila. Does anyone know were I can find this info on the uscis website about having to use the I-134 at the interview ? If anyone has had used a co-sponser please share your experiences with us. I went to the immigration office today out here where I live and asked that same question. They told me that I only need to fill out that I-134 after she gets here in america. Its only for the adjustment of status . I dont think he was right in his answer because he had to go ask somebody my question. I just hope to find an answer soon . Thanks vj menbers, hope to hear something positive soon.

Hi there. Ive been told that the Manila USEM does not accept a cosponsor when it comes to I-134. We really did not know if this was true or not so just to be prepared my mother-in-law answered an I134 too and I had her tax returns when i went to the embassy last July 13. When the first interviewer asked for my husband's I134(my husband's yearly income is way way too low), I gave it to her but I also mentioned that he has a new job now and also gave her his employment letter. I didn't give my mother-in-law's I134 anymore coz i thought ill just give it to the final interviewer if he mentions anything about it. When i was being interviewed by the CO, he just browsed my husband's I134 and asked what he does. All the questions were almost about me.. I had also read that as long as the petitioner has a job, that would be accepted. So i guess prepare another I134 too just in case they bring it up. I hope this helps. smile.gif

PhilippinesTraveling to the US
QUOTE (jamster0105 @ Jul 30 2009, 06:55 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello everyone,

My wife and child will be traveling to the US from the Philippines for the very first time this coming august. I have been searching fares online, and I am running into so many questions.

First is the fact that a lot of airlines won't let me buy online, due to the fact that I am not traveling with my wife. Most are saying "the persons name on the credit card must be one of the tickets passengers". Another issue is the fact that my wife is from the Philippines and I am concerned with her possibly transfering in another country, for an ongoing flight to the US. One such airline I had this problem was with Korean Airlines. It states on their websiste that all passengers wishing to use this airline from the Philippines must purchase the ticket in the Philippines, along with some kind of "transfer fee". I am not sure I want to go that route either.

I hope that someone here can give me advice on how to purchase my wife and babie's tickets so that they may have a smooth trip to the US without any problems. Thanks everyone I look forward to your feedback smile.gif

Congrats! Maybe it would be easier, and i think a lot cheaper if u purchase the ticket in the philippines. I had a quote for a 500USD one way ticket from a travel agency last month (China Air, Manila to JFK) and i think the promo runs until August 31, 2009. Korean air was 750USD for one way, (plus travel tax of 1600 pesos). I got the korean air flight bec the stopover was shorter and based from experience they have better planes. I didn't pay any transfer fee anymore. Hope this helps. Take care

PhilippinesWhen can i schedule interview and do medical in st. Lukes?

Hi there, Just received my first letter from Manila US Embassy. I'm the benefactor. It is a one paged letter and it says;

This refers to your fiancee' (k1 visa case)

Your case is eligable for a visa interview. You must pay the K visa application fee before you can schedule a visa appointment....

(2nd paraghraph is how to schedule your interview.....but its not like what I saw in the sample packet 3 which is a 4 - 5 page paper with complete instructions)

Is this the packet 3 or we will receive another letter before we can schedule our interview and medical?

Can we pay our interview fee and schedule our interview now? Can I go to medical now? Is this the packet 3?

Thank you!

You can call the US Embassy and make an appointment already but be sure that you go to your medical first at st luke's. Good luck

USCIS Service CentersIs this Fraud by definition

Or maybe not. Three of five CSC approve petitions from February are from the Philippines. Same as me and many other older petitions. One of five CSC approved petitions from January are from the Philippines. Again same as me and many older petitions. If they were adjudicating petitions based on open interview slots, they should be doing the oldest petitions first.

What makes those petitions easier and/or more special than mine is a mystery that will never be solved. I am not angry with those who were lucky enough to have their petitions approved at lightening speed. I am very happy that they will soon be with their loved ones. I am angry with a system that appears to have no rules and no regard for those of use that have been waiting patiently for such a long time.

This will be my last post on this subject. I can only hope that I will get my approval soon.

John

Time slots are different for tourist and k1 visas :) Last I saw here, March slots are being filled up so just keep on checking the website to schedule or calling the embassy to see if April slots are already available :)

you have to make sure the link goes to the Philippines. The one I got on email goes to Singapore by default. I got the same error too when I clicked on the link they sent me on email.

"http://www.ustraveld...cMxpfBJUHUOw==" change it to

"http://www.ustraveld...cMxpfBJUHUOw==" and try again :)

I have no experience on being able to schedule before the payment. I paid mine before I was even sent an eligibility letter. *Excited much* LOL

If you are still unsure, you can give the embassy a call.

BTW, when is your interview? :) Goodluck!

I was disappointed that time kse nauna pa ko ma interview.

Philippinesdocument verification
QUOTE (rockbabyrock27 @ Nov 12 2008, 03:29 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I understand that the span of time that the US Manila Embassy receives the Document Verification is a case to case basis. I paid Delbros 2 weeks before my scheduled interview, would that be enough time for them to receive the DV? I am single, never married, and there hasn't been any problems or corrections regarding my Birth Certificate. And if they don't have the DV on the day of my interview, how long do I wait for the delivery of my visa?

Thanks to all who will take time to reply to this post.

It's really case to case basis. You have the same case with my twin sis. She paid her DV two weeks before her interview but she rcv her visa after one day of her interview.

i gave up calling NSO since this Mon. the employee told me they no longer give any information. My fiance will make a call to the embassy this Thursday, so let's just wait till then. Based on all the posts I have read the best thing to do for now is just wait and look out for any updates from the VJers. It is comforting to know that u are not alone who is dealing with the stress of visa smile.gif Good luck to all.

Hello mga sisters,
Am a green card holder na from Pinas and now in Georgia. You all just have to be patient as the delivery of the visa is in alphabet order. I got mine after exactly one month. If you got a pink slip after you were interviewed then there is no reason to worry..just wait it will come ..i assure you.Am enjoying my married life with a verrrrry handsome 4 months old baby boy. WISH you all the best mga sis.

Wow that's nice! I wanna ask i got a pink slip and white"wait til you hear from us",

It's been two months waiting for my wife's K3 visa. The embassy told her after a month had passed she needed to submit a certificate of marriage (aka marriage index) which she did promptly. As of nov 4th I was informed that they had reviewed the case again, yet we still have no answer as to if a visa will be issued or not. Is this normal that after a case is re-reviewed it can take this amount of time or longer? What's the hold up?

Hi there dphus! I am F1 visa. I've been waiting for 7 weeks now, nearly two months. I go to usem twice a week for follow ups. They always say that it's under review. I even emailed them and thank God they replied. Last Nov. 13, thursday, i went to usem again and i'm pissed with this fat lady because her statement is like a recording that doesn't change at all. It goes like this, " Mam, your CO is reviewing your case" i asked her how long will they review it? "Mam maghintay na lang po tayo, I can't tell you about the issuance of your visa, because of backlog kaya po nagtatagal".

Asia: East and PacificPhilippines Weddings/Marriages

Well, unfortunately she doesn't know anyone that works in City Hall. I just need to find out where and when one of these seminars is so we can do it while I'm there.

About the Affidavit for LEgal Capacity to Marry: if we have had no previous marriages/divorces- do we need proof of that or do they just take my word for it when I tell them

if you have proof just bring it with you

I don't know anyone also who works at City Hall, your wife may ask somebody who knows, even the maintenance guy can help.:)

all are required to attend the marriage seminar to get a marriage license,
but if your wife know someone working at city hall you can just pay them,
it cost us P1,500 to get a license w/o attending the seminar but of course the papers state we did :D

I would like to use James's shortcuts but the DS-3032 link in the pinned topic links to a form that expired at the end of December 2006. Does anyone have a link to a non-expired version? On second thought, maybe it's better to just try the email method of choosing an agent. What do you think?

National Visa Center (Dept of State)USCIS to NVC in 11 days!

USCIS forwarded my IR petition to NVC on Dec. 18th, 2006.
According to NVC it was assigned the Case# on the 363rd day of the year:
MNL 2006 863 xxx - so 863 minus 500 = 363. The 363rd day on the Julian Calendar is December 29th.

i think u should try calling NVC so that u can email DS3032 if they already sent u AOS bill and DS3032...
check my timeline, i guess we will have the same sked

National Visa Center (Dept of State)I'm getting nowhere with NVC

NVC assigned my case number on December 29th 2006. They "generated" my AoS billing and DS-3032 on January 8th.
My spouse received the DS-3032 the third week of January in the Philippines. She immediately asigned me as agent.
So far, I have received absolutely nothing from NVC in the mail at my U.S. address. No copy of the DS-3032, no billing, NOTHING.
At this rate NOTHING will be accomplished since I must have those billing statements!
Is this "normal"?
What can I do?

you should try calling NVC or send an email inquiry...

National Visa Center (Dept of State)DS230 part 2

u may want to use this
http://www.visapro.c...Form-DS-230.pdf

and if ever u may have problems on other pages you can use the forms your using now

The forms from that link you provided worked pretty well for my wife's name, and was an improvement over the other one I used. But , the part for question #29 still only lets me use two lines for my name and address.

I was trying to type my name and address like I do on envelopes that I mail, for example....

First and Last name
street address
city, state , zip code

But, on both forms, apparently I will have to type my address using the format....

First and last name
street address ; city, state, zip code

I am hesitant to enter my address the second way, because I don't know if the NVC would accept the address in that format.

the second one will be fine, as long as you type your complete address

National Visa Center (Dept of State)DS230 part 2

This may seem like a basic question, but for the life of me, I can not figure it out yet.

I am trying to type on the DS 230 part 2......using Adobe. But, for some reason, it will not let me type more than a few inches per line. For example, when the question asks "other names used",#27, I need to type in two different names for my wife. But, apparently due to the length, it will only let me type up to the point where it is just under the words (If married woman.....).

I need to type in more, but can't because it won't let me.

Same with when I type in Name and address of petitioner, question #29. I was trying to use 3 lines for my name and address, but when I get to that third line, it goes to the part that says "telephone number", and I can't put in my city, state, and zip.

Is there a way to correct this, or do I just need to print the page, and write everything by hand? I would prefer to type it, to be neater........but I can't seem to fit in everything in the sapce they provide.

:help:

Thanks.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Time Savers for NVC, plus Knowing your Case #

I have a question. I have just received notice that I was approved for my i-129f petition.

I read over all those shortcut tips and I'm a bit confused.

1. If my boyfriend signs me as his agent, do I fill out all his paperwork and stuff for him? (This he would LOVE) Everything that he was suppose to get would that be sent to me instead and I'm acting on his behalf?

Well thats my question so far, once I get that one answered, I think I'll be alright concerning my other questions.

Thanks so much!

Lynn

those short cuts are intended only for immigrant visa applicant,
since your on k-1 w/c is a non-immigrant visa, you don't have to worry about that
after they forwarded your case to NVC w/c will assign a case number...
and then it will be forwarded to the US Embassy...

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedureslast addressed you lived together?

hi everyone! :)

im about to file for my husband's I-130. im in the part where it says, "address of last place you lived together". please help me on this. here's our story:

- we've been together since 2001, lived together at my family's house (Makati City, Philippines) around november of the same year
- i migrated to the US in 2003
- got married in the Philippines last Dec 23, 2006. i stayed with him in his Quezon City house for two months before flying back to the US.

ive gone home every year since i left. i always stay with him at his QC house. so in the form, do i just state the last two months we lived together, is this going to be acceptable? or is putting the two years (2001-2003) going to be better?

i dont know if i made sense. =)

thanks you all.

izy

on our case my husband (petition) put their address here in qc wer i am currently residing and we've been together here for just a month after our wedding.
as of now we don't have any problems about that
so better state the last address u live together
