I've been using a Magic Jack and it works fine before...but now when im calling my husband in the US it sounds choppy because of my connection. I am 1mb with PLDT. I have also use Packet8 and Vonage, but I prefer Vonage Voip but apprently it has a maintaining 30$ (+/-) monthly charges but it is a 101% good connection. Vonage should give me a PF for advertising their products hahahahaha. But seriously, bandwith connection with all the ISP prov here in PI sucks :)

Well my wife and stepchild passed their Medical exams at St. Lukes. The stepchild had to go back a third time to get her vaccinations completed and results of her chest xray. She is only 4yrs old and I guess the procedure now is to xray children. At least this is out of the way. Next step, Interview on Thursday!

They just gave me 2 sheets of papers with our name there and with a stamp of BIO F/P Done August 5 2011 Immigrant Visa Unit, i dont know if it is what you meant. I apologize not so familiar with it.

I went to my interview today and do all the process correctly. From finger scanning, pre-interview up to final interview. There are a lot of question on my pre-interview but i was able to answer all. On my final interview, there's only 3 questions and when answered, the CO said "No problem. Everything is Okay. Have a nice trip". Then he just told me that, USEM just need an explaination from NBI. As per USEM website "An official letter of explanation from the NBI is required for any notation of “No criminal record”, "No pending criminal case” or “With derogatory record.” I got the latter. My question is am I approved or not? How long will it take the USEM to get the NBI explaination? Oh, they also got our passports (me and my daughter).

I would gladly appreciate anyone who has the same experience and share it with me. My husband is so upset with what happened.

a personal copy is the second nbi clearance attached to the one you're supposed to submit. it's just for your personal record keeping.

so anyway...if all you have is a personal copy, i suggest you get another one. i don't know anyone who's been to the usem with just the personal copy.

hi all. my fiancee is working in the local government as a CASUAL (not permanent) employee. She will be resigning with her work on friday august 26. As for the list of immigration requirements are the passport, visa, cfo certificate, xray cd, and AUTHORITY TO TRAVEL for govt employees. According to the website of Bureau of Immigration of the Philippines says: (http://immigration.g...d=239&Itemid=37 )

Government officials and employees traveling abroad WHILE LEAVE OF ABSENCE need written travel authority from their respective Department heads, EXCEPT those with the rank of Assistant Secretary and above, who need the travel clearance/approval from the Office of the President. (Memorandum issued by Commissioner Rufus B. Rodriguez dated July 12, 2000).

My fiance will be leaving on next month and she is curious if she still need to acquire this TRAVEL AUTHORITY since by the time she leaves the Phil, she is already resigned or no longer in the service. She will secure (1)copy letter of resignation, (2)Cert of employment and (4) service records that indicates the date of her resignation and (5)work clearance to support that she doesnt have any liability on the government anymore.

do u think my fiance still need to acquire this authority to travel?

in my point of view, if she will resigned, no need. apart from it, she worked as a CASUAL employee therefore she is not a regular government emp so no need to have or secure travel authority. Yes secure items # 1 to 4 just to make sure she doesn't have any liability. What government agency is she working anyway?

hi my husband's interview is on sept 9 and i am getting excited and anxious. i read the appt letter again and notice that on the document status description of the letter on page 3 the O - means the original document has been received and accepted as meeting post requirements. The rest are just Y and F. Does this mean that the O - still required to bring orig docs like marriage cert and nso birth cert? any experiences fellow v'jers?? we have another of set of documents we submitted at the NVC stags ready. just dont want to miss anything during the final stage of this journey. thanks all!

Yes, she got that form. She went the same day, stood in line for hours, got an NBI with her corrected middle name, and mailed it back using 2GO the same day. The Embassy got that on the 8th, and they refuse to tell us what they are doing - if anything - with it now.


You may call 3012000 x5184 / 5185 - they aree accomodating to answer your question/s. just prepare your MNL case number and name of petitioner because the'll ask for it. They will inform you of the status.

hi. i am also on the same boat, apparently they told me what was the document needed to comply for my 221g. I need to submit my letter of explanation to NBI and it should only took me 2-4 weeks. sad part is, NBI needs to interview me and for me it is a big WHY???? :angry: they already gave me the clearance but with annotation of 'NO CRIMINAL RECORD ON FILE" which I understand base on the requirement that USEM needs the letter but NBI to interview me? it sucks. all my documents for me get the clearance are all with them. I am bothered now as some of the government officials here in PI are corrupt (i do appologize as i am a Filipina but thats what happening now). Hope there is someone who could help us or shre their experience as well.

Reading the Embassy reviews would appear to indicate that some people actually hear the words "You're approved", while some hear something like "your case looks okay".

Seems like people who said they were told that they're approved, they received their visa within days. Meanwhile, my fiance was told her case looks good - and it's been over 2-weeks now, and no visa yet.

I'm wondering if "your case looks good" is code for something like, "we need to check into something more/delay your visa issuance/etc." or what?
Why didn't WE get "you're approved"? Our case should have been a breeze. We've known each other for a third of our lives (11.5 years). No police/arrest record by either of us. Both healthy. Why are they stalling??

Does your finace got the 221g? if not youre approved and just wait for your visa

true. before my medical i was also thinking to have all the required vaccinations base on the requirements. apparently, st lukes will be the one to give what are the needed vaccination base on your age :). they have the table and it shows what are the required vaccines that should be given. usually adults like my age (40) required to have 4-6 vaccines :)

I don't know if there's a difference. I do have one daughter. My husband and I got married here in the Philippines. He filed for CR1 (for me) and CR2 (for my daughter). it took us almost a year before we got aour visa approved (oh well due to some unexpected delays for requirements). We haven't had any problems in our documents as long as I sent to him (husband) all the original and keep another copy to me (all original as well). If you want i can send you our procedure on your email and or you can send sms at xxxxxxxxxxx and ill be the one to call you. Neen no worries with the call as I have my US number. I am still here in Manila and will be leaving next month for US to be with my husband. Oh, we did not hire any lawyer, what we did is just follow procedure for the requirements :)

In fact, we advise our clients not to finalize travel plans, dispose of their properties, or give up jobs until a visa is actually delivered to the applicant. We are simply unable to predict if or when an applicant would qualify for visa issuance.

iam hoping na inaasikaso mga pending cases... my garsh! pangit ng sistema nila. instead sana na inuna mga new applicants sana tinapos muna saten. sana tayo ang binigyan ng lift sa document verification instead na yung mga new interviewees... naiiyak na tlga ako... crying.gif

you're not the only one sis! and korek ka dyan, it's really unfair. Like for instance, my twin sis has her interview Oct.14,2008, she got a text message from Delbros the day after her interview. In my case, I was interviewed Sept. 26 and unfortunately, still reviewing my case.huuh hu hu crying.gif
