K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureschange address
Hey co- member,

Im very confused now, where on the 4rth month since our NOA 1. My last address put in the G-325 is my permanent address coz thats where i am when i signed those papers. Now my fiancee let me be here in Cavite to my brother house so that im near to process everything i need for the visa. Now, the problem is this, Would be the notice from the NVC will send to my last address i put in the form, and notice also from the USEM when they receive my pocket. When they send the notice what courrier they used? They will give to my Mother coz im not there and my mother will be the one send it to me thru LBC. Thats my worry now, what if the courrier they ise to send the notice from the NVC abd from the USEM would not give those to my mother and they need the person? Im already here in Cavite, what should I do?

My fiancee try to call USCIS to change my address but he was instructed to call NVC but when he call NVC nobody answer him. Please him help guys, i need your help.

Thanks, advice appreciated.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWhat form should we apply for our kids

For the child of a US citizen.

The following information summarizes key provisions of U.S. law regarding the transmission of citizenship by a U.S. citizen parent or parents to their children born in wedlock outside the United States. (Please note that separate transmission requirements apply for children born outside of wedlock. Contact the U.S. Embassy/Consulate for further information if this is the case.)
If both parents were U.S. citizens when your child was born, he/she may have acquired U.S. citizenship at birth, if at least one parent resided in the USA prior to the child's birth. If your child was born on or after 11/14/86, and only one parent was a U.S. citizen at the time of the child's birth, the child may have acquired U.S. citizenship at birth if the U.S. citizen parent was physically present in the USA for periods totaling five years prior to the child's birth, at least two of which where after their 14th birthday.

If a child was adopted by an American citizen(s), or if the U.S. citizen parent has not met the physical presence requirement, then the child cannot be issued a Consular Report of Birth Abroad. Please refer to the Child Citizenship Act of 2000 for further information on how to document your child as an American Citizen.

1. Child's official provincial birth record, showing complete information on the parents.
Note: Some posts can only accept an original Registration of Live Birth - bearing the impression seal of the Vital Statistics office. This record is kept on file with Vital Statistics and a certified photocopy bearing the impression seal of the office can be issued.

This document tells us whether there have been any amendments to the record. The child's certificate of birth is not always acceptable. Please refer to your "post specific" instructions when you receive your application forms, for acceptable birth record instructions.

2. Evidence of Parent(s) U.S. Citizenship at the Time of the Child's Birth.U.S. Passport; Certificate of Citizenship/Naturalization; Consular Report of Birth Abroad; or a U.S. Birth Certificate bearing the impression seal of the Vital Records Office and the date of filing.

3. Proof of parents' identity: Photo ID.
4. Child's ID (i.e. a vaccination booklet or Medicaid card or other passport).
5. Previous CRBAs for other children in the family
6. Original civil marriage certificate of parents.
7. Documentary evidence of termination of any previous marriages of either parent (i.e. divorce decree, death certificate, etc.), if applicable.
8. In some cases the U.S. citizen parent may be asked to complete an Affidavit of Parentage and Physical Presence at the time of Application.
9. Parents' Canadian Immigration Record, showing original entry date into Canada.
10. Evidence of parent's physical presence in the U.S.
Some examples of evidence of physical presence may include accredited school and university; transcripts, employment records, utility bills, etc. Acceptance of this evidence will be at the discretion of the consular officer, and depending on the circumstances, the consular officer may ask for additional material.

11. Complete Form DS-2029. Do not sign.
12. Complete Application for a Social Security Number (Form SS-5-FS). Children 12 years of age and older must appear in person with the parent signing.
13. If you wish to apply for the child's passport, the child must appear in person with the parents signing. Submit two color photographs. The photos must be recent (taken within the past six months), identical, 2 inches x 2 inches; Full face, on a plain, light (white or off-white) background. Vending machine photographs are not acceptable. You will also need to complete the appropriate passport application form

thank you so much for the complete information, so in case we would submit a I 130 for me and for my eldest daughter we will not filly up any form for my youngest daughter right? we just apply the CRBA and the us passport and she could automatically go with us when we get approved. Thanks again

Children don't need G325a forms. What IS needed is covered in the I-130 instructions. I suggest all concerned study them carefully and act accordingly.

thank you for the reply so that means we only need I 130? yes my eldest daughter is not an USC yet, thats why I am confused if we needed to have a separate form (I 130 and G325) to fill up for her.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPolice Certificate - Singapore

I have enquired Singapore US embassy

and Ive asked them so many questions, alternatives, opotions i Have and advice...etc

BUT

they only replied me in one line:

"Unfortunately, if a country’s authority has stopped issuing such clearance, there is nothing much you can do but to accept it as it. Thank you. "

I was like....er,... what does that even mean?

I replied:

I can accept, but can NVC accept?

it's been 3 days no answer -.-

I approached a layer to get me a Statutory Declaration, for 20 bucks.

I cant really advise you all, (outside Singapore), what to do. To fly here to make statutory declaration makes notmuch sense.

U can just approach a lawyer and make one. Because its a voluntary action, which just to declare in front of legal person that U COMMIT NO CRIMINAL ACTION IN SINGAPORE.

thats it. If you look at Police Certificate template, thats basically what it says.

I will let u know if I have more answers.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPolice Certificate - Singapore
see the link below regarding the effective date that the Singapore gov't changed policy for issuing a police clearance.

http://www.spf.gov.s...cncc_notice.htm

this is confusing since this is one of the requirements,we need to know if the US Embassy here in the Philippines already informed for this changes. and it states there that there is an alternative way by having a statutory declaration, the thing is where are we going to get it and from my understanding it should be in Singapore through the Commissioners of Oath or qualified legal practitioners.

need some help!!!! :help:

I'm in the same boat...actually, my wife is going to need clearances from both HK and Singapore, as she worked in both countries. And, reading their website, it now says they only do this for Citizens of Singapore now.

It was complicated enough before, but this looks like a real challenge. We all need to get the right information on this one.

hi there!! I need a police clearance from Singapore too, but I made a research that they are no longer issue with non-Singaporean. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPolice Certificate - Singapore

Ive just made aware yesterday that Police Force office do not give certificate to non-Singapore citizen anymore

starting 18th of October 2010.

Wasted my time going there, and was only give a piece of paper saying why and what is the alternatives and also they said all embassies have been made aware.

Im not a citizen, but has been a Permanent Resident for about 4 years now.

The other alternatives suggested is to go to Singapore Academic Law and get a Commissioner of Oaths to get you sworn for a fee of $20++

I sent an email to singapore usembassy asking for an advice, but still no reply.

Anyone has heard about this? and know what other options do I have?

TIA

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIs this considered as a red flag?
Good day! I need help guys and I know most of you are knowledgeable in giving the ideas and advice for new member like me.

Okay, I will just tell the story short.. Me and my fiance met personally on May 19, 2010 to be exact. And he went home June 1, 2010 back to US. Then since he was very busy and deal with some important things he didn't had the chance to apply for the fiance visa that time. Then he decide to apply for the papers on November. However, unfortunately he asked assistance from attorney but I guess he just pretend he was (attorney) though. My fiance gave money to apply for the K1 visa. He said it was already sent, and I was waiting a couple of months and he didn't even have a notification. And I start wondering what is happening but he said we just have to wait. I was very patient and trusted him. Time had gone waiting, and my fiance found out that the guy lied. And he didn't tell me about this stuff before, until he finally told me. Since he was worried because of the timeframe that we met within 2years so we can apply for the visa and didn't want to waste our time since he is very busy at work and no idea until when he come back here and visit me again. So he decided to send out the papers overnight. I just want to know are we still in good shape? Thank you! I appreciate your help in advance. Bless you all... :)

Here in America you need a car bec. dont have many public transportation especially here in North Carolina, but the maintenance of the car like the car insurance, gasoline, yearly tax or car loan payment monthly etc... unlike in the Phils. you can live without a your own car. you can depend the public transportation. In America many bills to pay monthly like internet ,cable , satellite, telephone, cell phone (monthly bills), home phone, water , electricity , Medical insurance, house insurance (fire and flood ), garbage-(quarterly ), if there is house mortgage payment or rental (monthly), Life insurance ( optional ) , property tax at the end of the year. In every week you have schedule for payment. You earned dollars and you spend also in terms of dollars.

In the Phils. I live a simple life there. I dont have mortgage or loan to pay every month. I'm satisfied with my monthly salary there. We agree when he retire we will go back to the Phils. bec. She wants to know whether or not if will affect her uplifting conditions . She is holding as of now a 2-year green card and it will be renewed next year as a 10 yr green card.

She did not intend to receive unemployment benefits. She just went to the ESC to find some job links after she lost her job. She was interviewed and received some website links for local jobs . She found out that she is eligible to receive unemployment benefits for a few weeks while she looked for a new job. Now , due to recent federal legislation, she is also receiving 25 dollars each week from the federal government because she is receiving qualified unemployment benefits

PhilippinesThis flood shows the differences between poor filipinos and poor americans
Yes, I agree that many Americans are too dependent on the government. Filipinos are self reliant. They don't wait for help from the government. They take charge of their life and get it done! If there is government or foreign aid it is better but not expected. They have full trust in God and themselves.
