I have a question for my friend. She will be going to file for removing of conditions next year, she is worried when she got arguments with her husband they both hurt each other but her husband afraid if she will complaint, her husband when to the court and file a complaint against her. She was detained for 1 day but the case was dismiss in court bec. the husband realized that his fault. They are still living together and they forgive each other. If this situation will affect her processing of papers for renewing her green card?

I am not positive what the requirements for medical are but I think if it is something that does not hinder you from working it is okay and if it is not something contagious or auto immune from what I have been seeing.

Director for region 3) told me annotated/problem documents usually gets into their system after 5 years or so. So this will cause problems when the applicant will try to get a copy, since they will still be getting the old documents without the annotation.

LCR don't forward documents (annotated) unless the applicant requests one, especially for those with correction of entry. Hope this info helps.

You may not have time, but it will be better to have it done while you're still in the Philippines and have your documents properly corrected and annotated, since you maybe needing it for future use. When I was at NSO, I requested for 3 copies.

Three days is not enough reason for you to be this worried. It is always a good sign whenever you paid for Delbros after the interview. You just got to give it a little more time. Did you try checking your status with Delbros website? I'll be worried if it's been 3 weeks or so and no visa yet because that means you are in AR.

Relax and take it easy. And BTW, you won't be denied just because there's discrepancy with your name. Delayed, yes, but not totally denied.

My fiance interviewed on Feb 7. The CO stated "everything is Ok" , she was given her appointment letter and pink slip and paid Delbros the visa delivery fee. As of today...wala visa.

We paid for the documentation verification and received confirmation from Delbros on Jan 25. Delbros confirmed they did forward the request to the NSO on January 28.

I've telephoned the call center, daily. Thier reply...

Document verification received and the CO picked up the file on Feb 11 for final review and processing, this can take as little as a couple of days or up to six weeks.

It does not help the process when there are only 4 working days per week since the interview. The staff has been out on the 13th, 18th and now the 25th.

Based on the posts I have read, it appears more emphasis being placed on visa pick-up to satisfy the petitioner's request. A smaller amount have posted receiving Delbros delivery within the first 10 days of the interview.



My fiance and I video chat daily, aside from beating up the USEM, we are running out of things to talk about. Hopefully, this is the week for some psoitive topics biggrin.gif

Thank you guys. It helps to hear from others in the same situation. Well, there are things beyond our control. I didn't know waiting for the visa release could be more toxic than petition approval. I was prepared to wait for 4-6 months then, and we were approved in less than 4 months. I told my fiance we are caught in the web of volume of applicants to process and make decision. i was worried about this verification of documents before im really confused of my situation during that time. Because of my birth certificate there was a changes or remarks on it. i have heard and read that it needs to pay 650 pesos before the interview. so decided not to pay the 650 for verification cause i was worried during their verifications in NSO bec. the new birth certificate i got dont have remarks of the changes of my name. bec. it takes many years for NSO to encode in the computer about 5 years. my interview date feb. 7, 08, after my interview i paid to the delbros. after 5 working days i tried to sent text message to the delbros, then i got a reply that my number or visa is in transit to cebu. my visa arrived in cebu on feb 13. i pick up my visa at their office on feb. 14, 2008.

Just be very observant. Immigration officers will do whatever they think is necessary. They'll ask you few questions and they will also instruct you on what to do upon getting to your destination (i.e. getting married within 90 days, adjusting your status, etc., which we all know already). It is important that you handcarry the sealed envelope. They will ask you for that. They'll take a picture and fingerprint (biometrics) and then will stamp your passport (visa page) of it's expiration. They will give you the part of the Departure Record (I-94) with its expiration (same date they stamp on your passport. It's either they'll staple it on your visa or hand it to you. Make sure you keep that one. After that, you are ready to go.

yes, is not easy to marry in catholic church especially your fiance is divorce aside from divorce paper in the court they will ask another a divorce in the church. and the church will find out whats the real cause of his divorce. and also there in the philippines the catholic church will investigate the cause of his divorce. it takes time.

We are married in catholic church here in Swannanoa, North Carolina March 26, 2008 more than 2 weeks after i arrived here in NC bec. my fiance is single and he started attending seminar to become a catholic last year after his 1st visit in phils. March 22 he was baptized and confirmed, that is Easter vigil, bec thats what the priest want the date he will be baptized. i was planning him before to be baptized in the phils. on his 2nd visit but i followed the priest.
He told the priest that i want to get married in the catholic church while he is attending the seminar and we become close to the parish priest. The priest gave us only like a special seminar before our wedding. we dont have a pre cana 6 months seminar.

she needs to have an affidavit of lost from the lawyer and police clearance in their place. she should remember her passport number for the affidavit of lost and police clearance. maybe she had a copy or xerox of her passport. 2 passort size id pictures and birth certificate from NSO with official receipt attached and payment, i think 1 thousand plus the payment i forgot bec i was about to file a lost of passport in DFA last year.
it is easier if she will go to the agency and let the agency process for her.

YES, I WILL USE MY MARRIED NAME, BUT IM CONFUSED ALSO IF I DROP MY MIDDLE NAME CHANGE TO MY MAIDEN NAME LIKE THERE IN THE PHILIPPINES. THE MAIDEN NAME WILL BECOME YOUR MIDDLE NAME. IS SAME HERE IN U.S.A? IT WILL NOT CAUSE ANY PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE?

Is it better to use my married name in the documents for the AOS or should I use my maiden name? I do not want to confuse the UCCIS officers by changing my name since my k1 visa was issued in my maiden name. What should I do?
