K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurescall center agent
Most call center agents of US embassy don't know the answer and the real situation in our case. It's just a waste of time and money contacting them. I called them last Nov. 24 it's the 10th day after I passed my lacking document which is japn police clearance. The call center told me to call after one month. My fiance and I were very disappointed about it cuz we were avoiding christmas travel cuz the airfare is too expensive. Then I tried to contact Grace 310-2000 expecting a better answer but I didn't get through and I wasted money. The good thing is that when you don't expect something it will just come to you, when I checked delbros online Nov. 28 I was really surprised when I saw that my visa has been released by the embassy and I couldn't believe it so I asked the vj's here just to make sure if they really released it. One of my friends called usem call center asking about their case and the agent just answered call us again after 2 months, but the next day delbros delivered her visa and she hasn't gotten any text from delbros. Are they doing their jobs????
Just checked delbros online daily and wouldn't waste your time and money. Don't worry your visa will be delivered soon. You are not denied since the agent said that it is for printing or maybe has been printed already. Don't stress too much, you might end up like me, lost too much weight crying.gif

I agree with Dave good.gif yes you can go ahead and have your medical exam as long as you have your case number from NVC but try to call USEM and provide your case number cuz they will give a schedule for interview if your case is already in there system.
Good luck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresApproval! and 2 questions
QUOTE (DaveAndCaz @ Mar 30 2009, 11:25 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi all,
Caroline had her interview today and got approved! She is going to write up a review to post on the London embassy section as soon as she can.

Two questions:
- When she got home she realized they didn't take any of her passport photos. Her police report came with a photo attached (I had read that photos are often stapled to the police report at the embassy) is this anything to worry about?

- Does she need to bring her chest x-ray to America? Will we need this for anything?

Thanks

Passport photos are not needed cause she has the passport photo attached to one of the forms in K1. She needs to bring her x-ray, custom immigration will ask that at POE.

hi everyone. innocent.gif

im just worried because i checked our status online and this is what comes out

Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283.does this means the processing of our papers will take longer???? or a RFE

we recieve our NOA1 already...

my fiancee called customer service and had a change of address.. how will we know its was already changed? (and will a change in address make the processing longer?)

THANK YOU blush.gif God bless u

Don't need to worry about that.....USCIS has a problem in their website.....Since I filed my AOS, I couldn't check my status online....I just received mails from USCIS. It could be better that way, cuz checking your status online just gives you frustrations...There website is not updated.

That means she can set her interview schedule and medical exam. Your role now is still "to wait" or prepare your marriage ceremony. Once she will be approved on her visa interview and received her visa, you and her will be united and that will be forever......God bless and best wishes in advance.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCase status.
QUOTE (Erroneous @ Apr 22 2009, 01:26 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
A question about case status updates online. I received my NOA1. In the letter it gives instructions on where to go to check the status of my case. But when I go to the USCIS website it says my case can not be found. And it has been a couple of weeks already. I called their customer help phone number and the rep said it may never show up online. Is this something that i should dig deeper in to or let it be and remain blind until they send me a notice by mail? I would hate to upset some people by calling about this. Maybe it will show up down the road.. *shrug*

The receipt number begins with a WAC and is processing through the California processing center.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

I'm one of those people who can't check their status online. My AOS is done already but when I tried checking online still I can't see it. Through the whole process it is only through mail that I got updates and instructions. And also if your case will appear online it is not updated promptly. It is always late. USCIS said their site has a problem, don't know why they can't fix this. There are lots of money coming in in USCIS everyday. hmmmmmmp! So just wait the letters in your mail. It could be better that way, less frustration and less stress.

Ok here is the big ordeal.

She is here now we got married in 39 days after her arrival but in the mean time she got pregnant(This is great news for us BUT) Getting laid off in November I was told today and they said it will be at least 5 or 6 months until i am called back huhuhu..Now we have no insurance on her because they will not offer it to me at work because of the big lay off, And we cannot afford yet to pay for her 2 year residency and work permit yet either OMG my head is spinning.

What my question is does she qualify for any type of assistance being she is not a citizen or we have not filed her paperwork yet I am really worried right now. All I want is to make sure she is taken good care of and can see doctors she needs I don't care about any money just medical.

We live in Ohio

Check this website http://jfs.ohio.gov/...familychild.stm
I work in a pediatric office here in san mateo, ca. We always get patients with no insurance, health plan of san mateo provides a one month temporary insurance. All they have to do is fill up a form and then evaluate if they qualify. Before the one month temporary insurance is over, the member should call the insurance company if she/he will continue her coverage and just pay for very low rate per month. Healthy families and kids have $5 copay per visit and $0 for well baby check-up, medical is $0. I think every state has their government health plan that helps unemployed or laid off people. Try to inquire in your state. And congratulation on your new angel.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDuring visa interview
Hi everyone, it's been awhile since I posted something here. I'm so thankful for visajourney. I am now a permanent resident here in CA. This question is for my friends. I introduced my friend to my husband's best friend and.....to make the long story short. My hubby's friend will be flying to Philippines and meet my friend. He's planning start the K1 process after meeting her. So, on the visa interview, I'm sure the officer will ask how they met. Is it ok for her to tell the officer that it is through us? That we introduced my hubby's friend to her? I heard and read before that this answer is not safe??? I don't understand. Me and my hubby met at yahoo messenger:) and the officer just said "oh,ok!" lol. I thought you need to be honest as you can be during the interview. And I'm wondering why it's not safe to say that "She was introduced by us." Please enlighten me on this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you and Happy New Year.

Hi Guys, this question is for my friend who's filing a fiancee visa. I forgot which form that asks "if we stayed for more than 6 months outside our country/abroad" we need to write it down. G-325A on asks about the employer for the last 5 years. I think there was another form that asks about staying more than 6 months abroad and we need to get the police clearance from that country. It's been more than 3 yrs now since I did the papers that is why I forgot which form was it. Thanks

Why did they do that? When I called them and had changed my misspelled last name they only instructed me to fax the letter and bc. That's very unusual!!!!!! Sorry to hear about that. sad.gif

By the time you call them and tell them the misspelled name they will correct it right away but for documentation procedure and formality you need to fax a letter and birth certificate of the kid to USEM.

Instead of an E i put I .now we don't know what to do coz her interview is one week away.
IIs it going to be a problem in the interview?can someone here give me some advice on what to do?t
Thank you...

In my case, when I received the instruction letter from USEM they misspelled my last name so that means it is also misspelled in all the forms in their system. What I did was, I called them and let them know that my last name was misspelled and they told me to fax a written letter stating that it was misspelled and I also fax my birth certificate to prove it. And during my interview it was all change already.

Tell your fiancee to call USEM and let them know the misspelled name. They will correct it but she have to fax a letter and the kid's birth certificate to prove it. USEM will give her the fax number.

Philippinesinterviewed feb 2nd ...still waiting for visa
If they said it's under review or administrative review all you can do is wait. You'll never know when your visa will be delivered but just check AIR21 from time to time. Don't waste your time and money talking to USEM customer service they will just give you different answers. Especially if they say it will take 4-6 weeks if it's under administrative review and that will just make you upset, don't believe them. It happened to me and my friend when I called about my visa they said to wait 4-6 weeks since I submitted my lacking requirements but I was surprised cuz the next day I received my visa same thing with my friend. Don't worry if yours is under review it doesn't mean you failed the interview. So just seat back and relax and stop worrying it will just stress you up.

well i had a problem with their website....i registered my father (IR5) for 3 consecutive days online. I thought everything was doing fine so we scheduled him to fly here in the US right after. when the time has come for him to take the seminar, the people in DFA told him that they haven't received any registration from him and that they do not have any available slot for him at that day. they also told him the next schedule available is the day of his flight.

i think the PDOS website is not reliable for registering new immigrants. first, it looks like they never update their website. they should because a lot of people around the world are now relying to computer mediated communication. also, if we register online, we should get a response from them the slot we want is not available and that we should make another appointment or registration. from the time i registered my father, i did not receive any email or response from them. I assumed that they have receive it, and everything was fine since i did not get any response....well i guess there's my lesson...

i also don't see any reason for taking PDOS except for the fact that it is only one of their ways to corrupt people. It is not worth it since the new US immigrants will be oriented again by the family members who's been living in the US. for the people who do not have any families abroad, maybe friends or fellow employees could do it. it is not that hard. I'm not saying this because i am disappointed. im saying it because of the fact that you'll go there and pay P400 and they'll give you a sticker back for your ATTENDANCE. isn't like a preschooler that you'll get a reward for behaving perfectly?

Hello Again fellow members,

Just wanna ask about the NSO Philippine Birth Certificate as i have not heared about it but i read it somewhere. My questions are:

1- Is there an expiration of the AUthenticated Birth Certificate we get from NSO? Havent heared about such expiration ,if so where can i find it and how would i know the expiration date?

THERE IS NO EXPIRATION DATE ON AUTHENTICATED BC, BUT IF NSO HAS SOME CHANGES (LIKE CHANGING THE LOOK OF THE CERTIFICATE OR THE COLOR OF IT), AND THAT WOULD BE THE REASON TO GET ANOTHER ONE OR NEW ONE. BUT UNTIL NOW AUTHENTICATED BC IS NOT CHANGED. STILL THE SAME YELLOW AS IN YELLOW WITH VERY THIN PAPER LOL!

2 -Do i need to get a Police clearance certificate for my 2 minor kids? (11 and 7 yrs. old) coz the instruction sayd after the age of 16 and my kids are only 11 and 7?

NO NEED FOR POLICE CLEARANCE FOR YOUR KIDS. IT CLEARLY STATES IN THE INSTRUCTION.

Thank you very much ,,i would appreciate any reply.

PhilippinesVisa denied
Hi guys, finally I got all the information from my friend now. I'm sorry I was not specific on my forum about the denied visa. Cuz at that time, my friend just told me that his wife was denied because of insufficient income and that's the only reason. He was so depressed that's why I didn't ask him again. And so I posted here and asked some advice to all of you. After reading the replies here, I tried to get in touch with him and asked the whole story about it. He said that the consul just gave his wife a white slip only. No pink slip at all for AIR21 visa delivery. The consul said " I can't give you your visa yet, you have to submit additional affidavit of support that shows your husband can support you in US." After that the consul gave her a white slip for the affidavit of support and was schedule to submit it next week. In my opinion, She doesn't need to have another interview. All she needs to do is submit what the consul asked for. Am I right? And obviously, she will be under administrative review.
One more question, She's not deny.....right? Only under AR?

Thank you

So they do allow co-sponsors? May I know how my friend will file for it? Does he needs to start all over again after his wife has been denied? I've tried to search about the co-sponsor procedure for K3 but I couldn't find it. If you know about some links please share with me. And yes that is the whole story....she has lots of evidence with their relationship, she had complete requirements. She was only denied because of husband's insufficient income. By the way, her husband is a Filipino, who is a USC. Her husband stayed in the Philippines for 5 years with her and he went back here in US just last year. It's been 9 months now since he returned that's why he doesn't have enough income within 9 months in his new job. That is why, I would like to know if he can get a co-sponsor and how to do this process? Thank you.

PhilippinesVisa denied
QUOTE (Karin und Otto @ May 14 2009, 06:53 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Probably need to get the complete/exact story on the 'denial' - it's not common to get flat out denied for this.

His wife said that the consul said it is because of her husband's insufficient income that's the reason why she's denied.

My friend's wife was denied in her k3 interview because of insufficient income of my friend here in US. What will he must do now? Can he get a co-sponsor? if he can, then what is the procedure in getting co-sponsor? Does he needs to file k3 again? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

PhilippinesMedical and USembassy Interview same date
QUOTE (BauangRob @ May 18 2009, 08:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello,
My wife is a CR1 VISA applicant. I am in the US and received a letter stating her VISA appointment was on June 15. She is in the PI and has not received any interview appointment letters as of yet. When I go the USemb Manila website and check her appointment her Medical appointment and VISA appointment are the same day. How can that be and I thought you had to have a medical appointment letter to get your medical exam ?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Your wife can walk-in at SLEC and tell her to bring the NOA2 letter and the rest of the requirements for medical exam. She should have her medical exam before interview.

What i understand about ammendment is the proof that i am married to my husband and also no need to bring married liscense to attached my passport.

Did you file for AOS yet? Cuz you can write your married name in all the forms and in that way once you'll have your Green card it is already in your married name.

PhilippinesManila's CFO Seminar
QUOTE (dustonio @ May 21 2009, 11:18 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
What is the deal with this CFO Seminar for Filipino immigrants? If they have a visa in hand, can't they leave their country? It seems the CFO Seminar is another way for the Philippine government to fleece money from their citizens.

What are the repercussions if my wife attempts to leave for the US without having completed the CFO Seminar?

She can't leave and the immigration in the International Airport in the Philippines will not allow her to pass through and definitely would now allow her to be on the plane. Without the CFO sticker in her passport, visa is useless. She can't fly and meet you. There's nothing we can do but follow the government rules. CFO seminar contains information for the trip, and for the new life that your wife will have with you here in U.S.
