Me and my fiance, we call each other husband and wife, even on emails and chats. Is it fine if I print these emails and chat logs and bring it for my interview? Will I have problems with this? Do you think it's bad and I might just get denied for the visa? Does anyone experienced this too?

Thanks for sharing and responding.

I've received an email saying my I129F has been approved. What's next? I know i need to start preparing I-134, but where do i send the I-134 and the related documents to? Do i send it to my Fiancee or wait for the instruction from NVC on where to send.

Where do I find out my case status from now on, I don't think the case is in VSC anymore.

Am I done what I have to do on my side (USA)? and now it's my Fiancee's turn to do her side of things, besides I-134?

What am I waiting for in the mail besides NOA2? Any mail from NVC going to be sent to me?

Hello all,

I live in NYC and my fiance lives in Bangkok. We lived together for about one year in Thailand until I moved back to the U.S. in April. We speak on the phone everyday and through e-mail as well. We would like for her to come to America so that we could get married. Once here she will stay in NYC with me. It seems to me that a K1 visa would be our best bet, but I am unsure of what all the papers I need to get together to send to the USCIS. Also once I have everything together where would I send everything along with the 455 dollar payment to.

Thanks

One more question, Will the immigration NOT think that I have other intention in US because my POE is Hawaii and not California?

Why would they? You are entitled to enter anywhere, it's convinient for you. I will be traveling to Orlando in Florida, but most probably my POE will be JFK in New York. If they ask you as to why you are entering there (which I doubt they will smile.gif), simply explain that you guys are getting married in Hawaii smile.gif. You are not required to marry in California, it can be anywhere in the 52 states.

Any US airport/port/land boder crossing point can be POE, so if you have a direct flight anywhere in the Hawaii, that city will be your POE. If you have to make a stop somewhere in the US on the way to Hawaii, your POE will be the first US city (airport) you arrive into. After getting your visa activated at the POE, you can travel anywhere in the US, no problems. So, enjoy your island wedding, Hawaii is a beautiful place to exchange your vows good.gif Good luck and congrats!!!

I would like to ask, that is it possible that my Point of Entry will be at Hawaii and not California? My fiance is living in California but we plan to get married in Hawaii and stay there for 4-5days and then we fly together to California. That is our plan. Is it possible?

Please I need your advice,

May I just ask you all: NOW WHAT? What can I expect to happen and when? Will my fiancee receive notification? When? How many things will I receive by mail before her interview? If someone can give me a timeline of what happens now, it would put both our minds at more ease. Thanks for everyone's great advice and support!

Hello once again and best wishes to all of you on this road to happiness.

I have discovered after calling the number given to be by USCIS that the petition ( I-129F) is on it's way to NVC now.

Could anyone perhaps help me in the following questions before it gets there as I may need some time to gather anything I will need next ?

What is the form I would need to fill out for the sponsor's affadavit of support ? I will most likely need a co-sponsor and do they use the same form or is there another one for a co-sponsor ?

Does it matter what source my income is from ? Currently, I am receiving a DIC monthly payment from the Veterans Administration on my late spouse as well as Social Security for myself and my child. Do they use your previous tax returns as a basis of income or is it solely based on current income ?

Is there any other sources I can use other than my home, car, and land ? The land I am referring to is clear of any debt as well as a car. I have one home that may have more value in it since the mortgage is close to a payoff. Is there a specific form that I need to attach to show the value of these ? Can an appraiser give me a figure for all of these or would I have to get the car valued at a dealer ?

Is it possible to use assets alone if they total enough or is it better to have a co-sponsor and use the assets along with both sponsors ?

Thanks for any help with this.

Hi, I just had my interview yesterday Oct. 3, based on my experience the consul didn't check the evidences of my relationship. She didn't look at all the handwritten letter, chats, calls, emails. She just peek some of my pictures with my fiance on it. That's all. But I brought all the evidences. It was quite heavy but at least it is still good to have those presented to the consul. Just to make sure.

Does anyone know what EXACTLY they test for and what is a "disqualifier" for a K-1 visa? I looked on the CDC website and the Manila Consulates website but I couldnt find what I was looking for.

I personally think she has nothing to worry about but I guess when you want something bad...Pessimism will sometimes creep in and I want to help put her at ease.

QUOTE (Hi Im GOIY @ Oct 6 2008, 11:23 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I'm 19, female and living in Florida. My fiance is 21 and lives in the Philippines. I filed our I-129F petition in June and while we have gotten our first NOA, that's all we've gotten... When I look at the timelines on this site our "likely adjucation date" keeps being pushed back... What does "touched" mean and how do you know if this has happened..? I can't really understand why our petition is taking so long to even be approved because I'm confident that I did everything correctly and sent way more evidence of a relationship than is necessary... Maybe our situation with the age and unusual circumstances are making it all take longer? Maybe I just have horrible luck and our petition was handed off to the slacker of the immigration office....... Is there anything I can do to possibly jump start this process? I understand that applying for a visa involves a lot of waiting but it's been so long since I've heard anything at all from anyone that I'm beginning to worry unsure.gif

Another thing that has me concerned is when my fiance will actually receive his visa... Some people seem to receive it at their interview and others have to wait 6 weeks... He's a very intelligent guy but I really wanted to fly back with him as I'm planning on being at the interview. I obviously can't wait around for 6 weeks and I definitely can't afford to go for a week, buy him a ticket that won't be used, and then go back a month and a half later with two more tickets sleep.gif I'm a college student... I make enough to meet the income requirement but it's not like I have any kind of a nest egg laying around and waiting to be made use of...

This whole process is beginning to depress both of us... Him because he has 1000 questions I can't answer and me because I'm apparently so helpless to do anything to make this situation any better... If anyone can answer any of my questions or even wants to offer up personal testimony, I'd love to hear it good.gif

Thanks.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 visa program pls help us on Question 18 of I-129f
Question 18 on the I-129F and Evidence

Declaration of having met in the required two year period and types of evidence and how much evidence should be sent to show that you have met within the required two year period prior to filing the petition?

Some only answer question 18 in brief on the form in the space required and are approved, others have received a Request for Further Evidence (RFE) for further information. Submitting additional information at the outset, should lessen the chance for an RFE in this regard, but it also may not. 2-3 paragraphs on a separate attachment is a good ball park figure. Please remember to note the question number on the separate attachment, date and sign.

It is up to you individually how much information you wish to include. Each case is different.

Tip:
Use Q18 of the I-129F petition to describe in some detail of how you met in the required 2 year period that established the relationship. The evidence you then submit should support those details. Boarding passes, passport stamps, hotel/credit card receipts, rental receipts if ever lived together etc etc are primary evidence. Photos are secondary evidence which support the primary evidence. What one should be aiming for is creating an image in the minds eye of the adjudicator......a complete picture. Look outside the box for evidence that shows you both in the same place at the same time. Each case is different and one should submit evidence accordingly, not just rely on the standard unofficial list.

Whilst evidence of an ongoing relationship is not a requirement at the initial filing stage, it can be beneficial to those from high fraud countries (e.g. the Philippines) to do so, or if there is anything that could be a red flag that may cause issues at interview stage. This evidence should always be very carefully scrutinized especially emails & chat, to make sure there is nothing mentioned that may be construed in a different way then it is meant. Also make sure that any photo evidence submitted of any ceremony cannot be mistaken for a marriage ceremony which has in the past caused issues and denials.

Check this: http://***removed***...sa.php#evidence

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurescall center agent
Most call center agents of US embassy don't know the answer and the real situation in our case. It's just a waste of time and money contacting them. I called them last Nov. 24 it's the 10th day after I passed my lacking document which is japn police clearance. The call center told me to call after one month. My fiance and I were very disappointed about it cuz we were avoiding christmas travel cuz the airfare is too expensive. Then I tried to contact Grace 310-2000 expecting a better answer but I didn't get through and I wasted money. The good thing is that when you don't expect something it will just come to you, when I checked delbros online Nov. 28 I was really surprised when I saw that my visa has been released by the embassy and I couldn't believe it so I asked the vj's here just to make sure if they really released it. One of my friends called usem call center asking about their case and the agent just answered call us again after 2 months, but the next day delbros delivered her visa and she hasn't gotten any text from delbros. Are they doing their jobs????
Just checked delbros online daily and wouldn't waste your time and money. Don't worry your visa will be delivered soon. You are not denied since the agent said that it is for printing or maybe has been printed already. Don't stress too much, you might end up like me, lost too much weight crying.gif
