Before I knew I had months so once I got my noa1, I could walk away from the computer and live my life. Now I feel like I'm glued to it. I am about to get locked out of USCIS's website because I check so much lol. I have totally given up even closing my email. I've had to leave it open for fear I would break my browser opening it every 30 seconds HAHAHA. I feel like a nutcase. I really hope we get approved soon. I'm not the most patient person in the world to begin with but this process is maddening. There is no rhyme or reason to the order they go in, and seeing CSC with approvals so far out makes me want to cry. I think I will faint when I *do* get the noa2. No, no touches yet argh....but, my fiance just got through customs and is on the train on his way here from JFK!!!!! I was terrified! I didn't think they would let him in because last time he was here almost 6 months and even though he was still legal, no overstay (he had a 6 month stamp) I was SO SO SO scared between that, all the visits, and the pending K1, that he wouldn't get in. I'm waiting to get locked out lol. We are all so close. I see those 12/2 approvals and wow, we are just unbelievably close. On another, can you believe it bit, I got butterflies in my stomach when I saw we were 368 today. HOLY #######. He'll be here soon. I can't believe it! Reality hit me with a sledge hammer. When I'm not working, so am I. We use skype, cell phones & the web cam all the time too. We have a son together so it's important that they see each other as much as they can. It's really hard sometimes We're also very big on games - kind of how we met, so we do a lot of playing games and looking for new games to play. You name it, we've probably tried it lol. ....whatever it takes to keep from going nuts while we're apart. In the past we saw each other every 4 months or so so the waiting was never hard. By the time we were going nuts, he was on a plane here. This time, it's been since August that I saw him last, 6 months and counting. It's not fun. We do what we can to stay occupied because you go nuts saying the same stuff over and over again if you talk as much as we do and you don't have something else to do lol. After last week's aweful lack of approvals from both service centers, it looks like VSC led the race for the week with a whopping ten Noa2's to CSC's nine. So far this week, VSC has one and CSC has none! It seems like it's been forever since any approvals happened at all so this first one is really inspiring coming from VSC while CSC remains silent. *crosses her fingers* Maybe everyone took a nice long vacation to celebrate or at least find a good excuse to be lazy while Obama was taking over the presidency. Now it's back to work. With that, maybe CSC has chipped in on VSC's workload and we will continue to see VSC approvals spit out until they are at least closer in approval dates, if not with VSC in the lead! Things like ‘chalk’ or ‘pencil,’ she described, would have a gender association although in English these words were neutral. Confused, one student raised his hand and asked, “What gender is a computer?” The French teacher wasn’t sure which gender it was, so she ivided the class into two groups and asked them to decide if a computer should be masculine or feminine. One group was comprised of the women in the class, and the other of men. Both groups were asked to give four reasons for their recommendation. The group of women concluded that computers should be referred to in masculine gender because: 1. In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on. 2. They have a lot of data but are still clueless. 3. They are supposed to help you solve your problems, but half the time they ARE the problem. 4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that, if you had waited a little longer, you could have had a better model. The men, on the other hand, decided that computers should definitely be referred to in the feminine gender because: 1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic. 2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else. 3. Even your smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory for later retrieval. 4.
