APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!! got the notification while working. I'm a manager and my employees were so excited for me! What a great feeling! AND TO TOP IT OFF HE'S VISITING SUNDAY FOR A WEEK!!

Amber -- a lot depends on your fiance's country now, there's no one answer because procedures differ from place to place.  London is particularly unique (at least about the financial aspect), so it's always best to check your local regional forums (for example UK here: http://www.visajourn...united-kingdom/ ) for the latest info.

 

Generally though, you should send to your fiance directly:

- copy of the initial packet (not always needed, but a good idea)

- I-134 financial support forms and supporting evidence (absolutely required!)

- newly signed/dated letter of intent to marry

- any "evidence of relationship" that you didn't include in the initial filing, including any more recent things since November

 

You as the US Citizen don't send ANYTHING directly to the embassy except in a few rare countries (I think Germany wants the I-134 sent direct? but most do not).  Your fiance is now the one in charge, and he will be sending forms and photos and more forms and evidence either to the embassy by mail, or bringing it for his interview.

 

It's been kinda hard on me to let go of the lead and let/make my fiance start to do the work! biggrin.png  But that's how it goes, the burden is on him now to communicate with the embassy and fulfill their requirements.

 

The amount of evidence required is VERY different from country to country.  Generally, Western European embassies don't need anything other than the I-134 form from the USC, but it never hurts to be prepared and they do have the right to ask for any of that stuff.  Asian, African, South American embassies are much pickier so always research your local embassy directly.  You can email them with any questions once they have your case.

 

Thanks for the information :D and I agree! I do not like that he will be in control now haha. I've been yelling at him to get his police reports done but he doesn't see the point of doing it yet because I don't have my paper work yet. Ugh! I have a feeling he will put everything off. I'll kick his "#######" :D lol. 


My dress is hanging on my closet and waiting to be worn but don't know when, lol. I'm lucky because i don't need any alteration since it came with ropes at the back wink.png

 

The only thing I needed altered on mine was the sleeves in the beginning. Now that's a whole new story. There's no way to alter the size of the dress though without ruining it. So the only option is for me to work out a lot and eat as healthy as possible!

I went to get my dress altered today and it DOESN'T fit!! Apparently I gained 10 pounds and didnt even notice! Time to work out like crazy ranting33va.gif

 

I do have a question.. are we sending the whole packet we first sent in plus new info to just our fiance's or to both the embassy and our fiance's?

YAY! After spending our entire work days refreshing USCIS endlessly-- we got notified via email at 4:45pm today that we got our NOA2!

 

Such an amazing feeling!!!   smile.png  Hope the rest of you all get yours soon

 

FYI-We called USCIS on Monday after work,  got a call back from a Tier 2 Tuesday,  and today was approved smile.png

We're the same ---- waiting and waiting.  Oh how I want an approval.

 

It should be soon :D Call again and talk to another Tier 2! Tell them you know about even February people getting approved. Be nice but firm.

Wooo!  Our file arrived at NVC!!!  Just today!  NOA2 May 17, so this was 17 regular days or exactly 10 BUSINESS DAYS, like they say.  Got our case number too, but it's not shipped out yet, so I'll call back in another couple days to make sure it's moved on.  But it's a HUGE relief, I was starting to worry since so many had already gotten through.
 
My heart leapt when the lady asked for date of birth and names, because every call before then had just stopped after giving my WAC number.  I knew when she asked for date of birth that there was good news, and I could hardly contain my excitement! smile.png
 
Hopefully it's all smooth sailing from here.  I have the I-134 stuff ready, my fiance has updated his vaccinations and we're ready to book his medical exam (we were waiting on case number to do that), and I will be flying over to visit him for 37 days at the end of June.  I hope to be there for his interview, though of course it's not required, I'd just like to be there for moral support -- and to hug him afterwards! biggrin.png

I called today and didn't have to wait hours on the phone, they picked up in a minute.  They said that we were still insite the average processing time that is being reported.  The agent was very polite but couldn't do anything for us.

 

Was that the tier 2 person though?

When i called to try to talk to a tier2 they put me on hold for about 2 hours so i had to hung up,i kept trying and was able to get wait an extra 30 days and if you dont hear anything call us back, but that was on May 13th and on May 24th my status on USCIS had updated, if they said wait until June 1st, i would say  your NOA2 is prob coming soon...Good Luck! good.gif

I called them today and asked to speak to a Tier 2. The lady was very rude and kept asking why. I told her it was about processing times. So she did her whole "oh they are on Oct 15, 2013 so it's not past your time yet." She told me that I would have to wait at least another month before they would probably even get to my case! She kept going on and then asked if I needed anything else. I told her yes I wanted to speak to a tier 2. Shes like are you demanding to speak to one? I then replied with I would like to speak to one please. So finally! she put me on the line with one. I was on hold for about 52 minutes before one came on the phone. 52 minutes is nothing when you've already waited 6.5 months lol. The lady was extremely nice. I was worried at first but all my worries went away. After she asked a few questions she put me back on hold for about five minutes. Once she came back she told me that an office was assigned to my case and if we don't hear something by June 1st that we should call back. I'm guessing that means we should hear something very soon and hopefully that's a NOA2!!!

I feel so much sympathy for those of you still waiting.  A week ago -- even 5 days ago -- I was exactly where you are, and I was OUT OF MY MIND with stress and worry and anger and rage and frustration, I really remember almost nothing else from last week except a haze and fog of obsessive worry.

 

The only thing that helped at all during that time was to take action and feel like I was doing all I could: contacting my senators and congressman.  As it turned out, the congressman was the best bet after all, because they are much more local and deal with only a small section of the state, compared to my two senators who have to deal with 30 million constituents.  So I do urge all of you still waiting: get in touch with your congressional representative.  Fax, email or mail them the privacy form and force them to place an inquiry with CSC/VSC.  I really feel that was the deciding factor in getting my NOA2.  I might be wrong, it could just be coincidental timing, but the fact that the approval came approximately 24 hours after my congressman placed the inquiry tells me that they did in fact urge it along.

 

I know it meant very little to me last week to hear soothing words, so I won't offer any to those still waiting.  You have every right to be angry, frustrated and stressed out -- all I can say is that for me, simply waiting had become unbearable, and even just contacting representatives made me feel a bit more in control.  I hope everything works out quickly for all of you!

 

Where would I get that privacy form from? I'm guessing that they send one?

My NOA1 date is Nov. 26, and my WAC ends in 285. Pretty much everyone around me has gotten their NOA2 or an RFE. Even up to 20 after me, most have their NOA2. So frustrating! 

 

Also, I called Customer Service 2 days ago, and they told me that as of April they were still working on July 12, even though when I called in March they told me that as of Dec they were working on July 18. And yet, how many early Nov. filers are getting approved? None of this makes any sense. wacko.png

 

But on a positive note: Congratulations to all those getting approvals!! dancin5hr.gif

 

Not sure where yours is from but mine is 229 and we are still not approved :( I'm getting so frustrated too.

We're planning to marry on August 10th too!! And our NOA1 was Nov 16th - so even tighter than yours - eek!

 

There's still hope - Vermont approved a Nov 1st filer, and a Nov 7th filer yesterday (see below) so you must be soon smile.png And I've been looking through processing times in London - it takes a lot of people about 2 months and 1 week to get from NOA2 all the way to interview, and then approximately another week to get the visa in hand (see 2nd link below). So if you get the NOA2 soon, August 10th might be doable if you don't get any delays.

 

We're still aiming for that date because we're just having a garden wedding and can easily turn it into a symbolic event with all our family (who've already booked flights), then have a little legal wedding once the visa comes through.

I've read up a lot on all the stuff but I think I'm still confused. I'm not asking to be mean or anything but why would someone who applied/NOA1 after say us get approved first? Could it be because the person who did theirs is working faster or what? I know there's probably many factors but our case seems to be pretty simple. We have no previous marriages, no arrest, no children, nothing. Just confusing is all :)

They told me VSC is still working on Oct 1st filers so it looks like we have a while to go still :( We planned on getting married August 10th so I doubt that is going to happen :(

To the OP. I have been a single mom from the birth of my son, and I can tell you that it is extremely hard to do alone. There were many days that I wished I wouldn't have done it. If there is any chance of reconciliation, you should at least look into that. This isn't like a marriage between 2 Americans in the same country. He will be sent back to Morocco and if down the road you see that you want to try again, it will be too late. Just be sure that you want this. I'm sorry everyone, but I also think that you need to remove you mother from the picture if you do decide to work things out. A marriage is between husband and wife, not husband, wife, and mother in law. Too many times a mother in law can interfer. If she did it this time, she'll more than likely do it again. I've seen situations like this with couples here, and usually the husband will find someone to talk too. It is all too common. Again, good luck to you, whatever you decide to do.
