R Kelly sad case. I love all of his stuff prior to me knowing he likes the little girls! Such a talent.

Yes, I will count next week with Denton as my true New Year's celebration. I was looking a hot mess on New year's Eve... :crying: I was missing him especially right at midnight.

Believe me I know what you are going through!!!!

Just think it was your last New Years without him. Well unless in the future one of you travel with out the other.

I am too far behind to catch up, work has got me so busy and with all the changes around here I definitely need to act the part! I went to NYC for a training on Tuesday at the Sprint Training facility and it was very impressive. I am working on a presentation for our customers now and have to learn a bunch of new offerings before 4th quarter ends.

Hubby drove up with me and he loves NYC while I was in training he roamed Midtown and had a blast he can't wait to go back with me next week. He didn't want to take pics in Time Square because he didn't want to look like a tourist as he thought he looked like a New Yorker and fit right in LOL. Yall know I was taking pics everywhere haaa cause that's me but he did take a pic with Usain Bolt's cardboard likeness which was too funny I'll post on FB LOL

I am glad to say that it looks like the boys have finally accepted that Damian is here to stay and he is in fact their Stepfather and my Husband. My boys are actually talking to us LOL and starting to act like a real family again. All I can say is praise God because it has been hell for me this year and I just pray that the good vibes continue and we can continue on as a fully meshed family going forward. I know it won't be easy and we all play a part and have to work together but I have faith in US.

Hubby and I are planning a 2 day Halloween party at home with the boys with scary movies, treats and I'm dressing up the cats ( Hush I know I'm crazy). Everyone is excited and so am I to finally have some normalcy back at home luv.gif

Congrats Heaven and Hays and whoever else I have forgotten forgive me congrats to all kicking.gif

Lawny yuh link soon come (promise)

Wow Philly this does my heart so much good. I am so happy to see that the water is settling. I’m also happy and proud that you and hubby stood together through all these trials and tribulations. See there is a rainbow after the storm. I pray that your household continues to be smooth. I am so very happy for you!!!

I just went through this ####### with tmobile for instance. This is the 4th phone I have with them I had to exchange it 4 times now...the 3rd time, they accused me of wetting the phone. Why would I wet a phone knowing that it voids the warranty on it? I wrote a professional letter to them, picked a lawyer out the phone book and wrote to them. They were "trying" to charge me 100.00 on my bill. The also replaced the battery. Also, they gave me a "customer loyalty" plan since Ive been with them for awhile which I accept a month ago. I asked them how is it that I can be loyal and pay my bill, but they can't be "loyal" and give me a phone that works? I said "Doesn't your phone work?", I wish mine did! They have since taken the 100.00 off my bill... My phone still doesn't work but I will follow protocol, take it to a Tmobile store and have them test it, demand a new phone, different manufacturer. You just have to be persistant!

My T-Mobile phone is actin up too. For some reason I can't use the number nine button and a lot of my buttons are sticking. I plan on paying them a visit on Friday and I hope they don't try that water damager ####### with me.

Ms Tee mi get it loud and clear on the persistence issue I'm not saying she needs to lack on that I was commenting on the part where you stated had it been you, you would rip them a new one. I am the same way if you upset me watch out but in a case like this I’m not sure if that would work. I’m guessing if you piss off the wrong person your medical could somehow really take forever to show up out of spite.

Today is my step-daughter's interview, Two days ago her mother once again changed her mind and said she was too young. Lets see if she changes it back before 8:30am.

That’s funny I’m going through something a little similar. My oldest son’s father has been incarcerated since he was five and he may never see the free world again. Well his family down Orlando wants me to send my son down there to be with them for the summer. They have been asking me for a while now but recently they are really coming at me hot and heavy. My son is even asking me why can’t he go. Well because I don’t know those people. When I was dating my oldest son’s father he lived up here in Pittsburgh with his mom and sister. His sister has since moved due to an abusive relationship and she lives in Orlando with my son’s grandfather. They really want to see him. I told him when he is 16 I’ll send him when I feel he is old enough to protect himself in a way. I understand my son wants to get to know his other family members, but Orlando?? That is so far!!! I’m not sure if I am being unreasonable or what.

Heaven...the Embassy will give him a sealed envelope when he gets his passport and the medical will be in there. The hospital will not give him the results to bring with him. So most likely the hospital will send the results to the embassy when they are done and then the embassy will give them to your SO with the passport/visa.

Ok Dillion i got you !! UPDATE: ..just spoke with my fiance' ..looks like island you were right good.gif .. he said the embassy called him today and said that everything is fine and he will get the visa but they need the medical before he can get it..he said the only avail appt they had for him to go turn it is on Nov 24th !! so now we just have to wait for that ..i was kind of expecting this so i'm not surprised ..just glad everything worked out ! Thanks everyone for all ur input and help !! Love u all ..xoxo heart.gif

Awww thats horrible that the medical people let this happen! Im glad your keeping your spirits up... Id be ripping the medical folks a new one! ugh

Well she kind of has to be nice because they are at their mercy now. The last thing you want is something inaccurte popping up on there so I guess the saying Kill them with Kindness or tears might work out best.

I know I haven't posted much lately so let me tell you what is going on in my world.

Things have been going pretty good at home with everyone getting along. Every now and then someones feelings get hurt because they aren't getting enough attention but it is a quick fix.

My step-son has been having problems adjusting to school and his school work. He is very far behind in his reading, writing and math skills which came to a shock to me. He is in 4th grade but reading at a 2nd grade level. The school he is in now tested his hearing and come to find out he has some hearing loss and is having problems hearing. He has said that it has been going on for at least a year and the loss is in both ears. His mother thought that there was nothing seriously wrong since he stopped complaining about it. headbonk.gif So we have a long road ahead of us with getting him caught up. He is getting extra help in school and we work with him as much as we can at home and he has a great attitude towards learning.

I was just shocked that his school doesn't do hearing tests like they do here...maybe some of the hearing loss could have been prevented if they did.

Dillon I found the same problem with my step-son. When I was in JA in June we had him for a week. One day we were in the car going to Negril and he was singing Vybz Kartel all day. He already has a problem with his speech so you know singing was wrecking my nerve. My daughters and his dad thought it was funny but I did not. I told him I hope he knows his school work like he knows that song. So I said spelling time. I gave him some spelling words a and was Shock that he could not spell Cat, Mat, Bat, Rat, Sat etc. I ask his dad why he do not know to spell these words and he said his mother sends him to school. Well I said sending him to school is not the problem when he gets home someone needs to check his H/W and give him some spelling test. I am a real stickler for school work. Now I have his dad calling him everyday and giving him spelling test over the phone. I told him when he gets here its going to really different he will have bed time, reading hour and less TV during the week.

I’m a stickler for school work too. My kids are not allowed to play their X-box DS or be on the computer unless its school work related during the week. I just think if they know they can play those games they’ll pay less attention to their homework. This year I allowed my 13 year old son to play his game during the week. I’m waiting for the first report period. If his grades have even slightly dropped I’m going back to my old rules. I didn’t want to allow him this new luxury but people were telling me I need to ease up some and let him make responsible choices. I hope for his sake they are right.

I just think every once in a while it’s nice to get away. From the bills, kids, job, families and just have some alone time. To not hear mom…mom…mom…mom… every five minutes is nice. To lay in bed and not worry about making breakfast or who spilled the cereal, whose turn its it to have the tv and not break up fights or hear mom she hit me or mom he’s messing with me is so nice!!!! Have you ever noticed when you come back your so refreshed? I always am.

You'll be able to get away and just relax and have fun with your hubby for a minute. I rather see you happy with him then miserable waiting till Jan. Just my two cents.

Hubby told me a story that made me mad as hell yesterday! He was riding the bus home after his tutoring & it was packed. This one older black man was sitting up in the front seats that are for elderly & disabled & he was sprawled out with his feet way out in the aisle AND had his bag sitting on the seat next to him while people were squashed in like sardines. When the bus moved, hubby took a step to steady himself & accidentally stepped on the man's foot but not that hard. He immediately proceeded to say sorry (in earnest...I know how he is) & the guy then KICKED HIM in his ankle! That man is LUCKY I wasn't there or things would've gotten ugly. Hubby won't stand up for himself because it's not his country & he doesn't know all the laws/rules AND he's afraid of doing anything wrong & getting deported. (I try to ease his mind of all this but it doesn't help.) But FIRST, on a jam-packed bus, MOVE your @#%#$ feet out of the middle of the aisle you sonofa@#$!! And SECOND, when someone says sorry, you DO NOT have the right to basically ASSAULT them! And THIRD, MOVE your rassclaat bag off the seat so one of the OLD LADIES standing can have a place to sit! Some people are just straight rotten I tell ya! NO manners & no goodness to them! ranting33va.gif

Man that was rude!!!

Somehow I became organizer of our yearly annual Food Fest. Since I have taken it over I try to mix up the theme. Last year we did countries this year I called it our Barnyard Bash. It was country theme. People dragged there feet the whole time but it ended up being a success. What I don’t get is you have the option to bring a dish or donate money for me to buy hot food items are what ever we need. When I said donate money that was the first thing I did wrong. People were donating 5 bucks. Like for real?? 5 bucks isn’t enough its not fair someone bringing in a dish would spend way more than that but at the end of the day I did say donate. Lesson learned for next year. Specify a specific amount. It’s a lot to set up and then clean up. I’m so tired. Then I had a whiney guy who got on my nerves. Where I put the drinks I called it the Outhouse. I figured you pee in a Outhouse and what makes you pee? Liquid. So I decorated it with toilet paper, hand sanitizer air freshener stuff like that. He was like eww who wants to drink from an Outhouse blah blah blah. It took everything in me not to tell him well get the #$%^ from over there then. When I sit back and think yeah maybe it wasn’t the best name but hell no one else helped me pick out station names.

Perhaps 'waterin' hole' would have worked?? laughing.gif But obviously that guy had no sense of humor. These stories remind me of chicken little....no one wants to help but they're happy to be there when it's time to reap the benefits.

OMG Ells I couldn't even get the food out without people starting a line. Waiting with plates in hand. I thought I was setting stuff out early I started at 11:15-11:30 and what got me is they they just stood there no one offered to help. I could barely get out the way before they bumrushed the scene.

I agree I hate it too. Its like the first couple rounds around the board I'm cool but after that I'm like o.k. NEXT!!!! My favorite board game is Sorry....I love sending people back home and pout when they do me.

One of the greatest card games we play is called Phase 10. Everyone I teach it to ends up beating the ####### out of whoever else is playing. The best part about it is folks usually get stuck on a phase and gets mad when everyone starts passing them. When the teens play they end up wanting to quit lol

I learned a new card game Screw Your Neighbor... Its a lot of fun.. When I play with the kids I have to change the name though.

My great grandma will be here she is 95 and coming from California with my mom and grandpa

It will be about 30 people

Why do you need games? It sounds like people are coming in that haven’t seen each other for a while so why not let every one chill and mingle. You know just socialize. If anyone wants to play any games have some cards and maybe the game UNO on hand.

On ESPN today I seen the worlds Monopoly Champion? The guy won win his opponent landed on Park Place and didn’t have enough rent money to pay him. The crowd went wild and I was floored I never knew some games were taken so serious.

If you want to gear it towards a housewarming just maybe have some simple games like every hour you ask a question about the house. How many rooms do you have, what color was a certain bedroom how many towels were hanging in the bathroom stuff like that but for the most part keep the drinks and food flowing and everyone will be happy.

Thanks. Acutally, I received my Master's in counseling, and when I was in grad school I completed a year-long internship working w/ children & families in the Prince George's County area in Md. I primarily worked w/ children, but in doing so I worked with the parents at well, so there was individual & family therapy involved. In my experiences I found that children responded more quickly and showed more progress when they felt like they could speak honestly about their feelings in a "safe" place. I know alot of folks are like, "yeah, but you don't have kids and these m-effers can be crazy!', but honestly, I think it sometimes takes an objective 3rd party to be able to show the families a different way of doing/thinking. Now I in no way advocate kids just saying whatever they want to out their mouths at their parents--HE@@ NO! But when the rules of conversation are established: 1) only one person will speak at a time, 2) everyone speaks in a calm voice, 3) no one is disrespected (define disrespect for your family), and 4) everyone's thoughts/feelings are valid, then usually things can be pretty productive. Not saying that its 100%, but it does work more than you think. And I know with so much going on this can be difficult to do for most families, but eventually it has to be done, or you end up in therapy paying to have it done! And this is an excellent for parents to model for children how to engage in appropriate, healthy relationships with others. I wish all of the biological and blended famillies up here the best! I can only imagine how difficult it can be...rose.gif

Hmm this approach is something to consider. I might actually try it. One thing I have noticed about myself is that I do too much yelling. I just said I need to tone it down. My mother was a yeller and I remember me saying why is she always yelling all the damn time. Doesn’t the woman know how to talk and look at me I yell at my kids all the time. The same thing I talked about is the same thing I’m doing. So that is one of my parenting practices I want to change. Maybe this approach you just discussed will help me get into it.

its actually my 8 yr old mrs p..
she is a die hard fan.. she doesn't even talk about him that much anymore, cuz as u said, we did have the talk about the situation and how unacceptable that behavior was.

however.. we still listen to his music.. telling them we all are entitled to some mistakes in life and everybody deserves a second chance with boundaries of course...they played his new song today and it was beautiful.. i feel sorry for him, he's so young.. but many young girls are going thru this w/ their boyfriend and its a hard subject to dissect..

I guess I am so on the fence about this. I think Chris has received his punishment and he is paying for it big time.. Think of all the money and fans he has lost through this and I guess part of me thinks like, what he should he be punished the rest of his life? Hopefully he has learned a lesson at a young age and knows from now on to keep his hands to himself. I guess we can only go by what the media has told us but do we know any behind the scenes info? Like how was his upbringing anything he may have experienced as a child to push him to this? What was their relationship really like was Rhianna often hitting him as well. Granted if she did hit him that still doesn’t give him any reason to hit her back a man should always walk away but still we just don’t know. How many men do we have in our lives that have hit woman but we still talk, hang with or go out with every day because there our family members, friends or boyfriends we forgave. If he was older I would say good for him but being that he is so young I would really hate to see him live with this the rest of his life. Who knows maybe being so young with so many obligations and popularity just stressed him out and pushed him over the edge. Again not a reason to strike but maybe he was at a breaking point.

If my daughter really loved Chris Brown I would let her go to the concert.

Hey Ladies!!!!

There are just certain standards I expect from my kids. Now I was a very smart mouth kid. I did the mummbling and stomping but I never in my life told me mom I hated her. Now did I say it when she was not around yes but in front of her no. Nor did I write it down. I guess I was too scared I would get caught and I expect the same from my kids. I betta not ever in my life hear them say they hate me nor shall I see it written down or in their mouth I go. I still believe in respect thy mother and thy father. I’m always shocked when I hear people say they hit their mom or cussed them out. I'm triple the size of my mother but I still respect her and I'm scared of her in a way. Just the other day I was upset and I was kind of yelling at my mom all she had to do was give me the side eye and my voice dropped four notches. One time we got into it and she said Dada don’t make me come over there. I hung up the phone with her and locked all my doors and told the kids they better not open the door for their nana. Now any broad on the street bring it but my momma some lady the is wayyy thinner and smaller than me? Nope Never!!!

So after all this my point was a child should never tell their parents they hate them rather they mean it or not. My kids aren’t even allowed to tell me to shut up. If I’m joking with them they can say be quiet but they know they cannot tell me to shut up.
