Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardies a home and a farrin (Part 23)	dada.. im so glad to hear that your trip was worry free as it should be.. mobay ALL THE WAY, mi cyan blame you, but ur friend need to check herself.. i mean was the trip about her man or your bday???? even if you really wanna go, don't pout?? that nuh rite.. well the burning question, did Roc show him rhatid dutty face??? Yup mi knew he would when me ran into Gary!!! By the way Gary’s looking good. On Friday when I walked dung the road that was really over the river and thru the woods on the way back this taxi kind of stopped in the middle of the road. I paid it no attention I thought it was another drivah tellin me he lub mi size. I seen Gary jump out. PHOCK. I needed somewhere ta hide but mi being a big girl around a whole bunch of likkle Jamaicans didn’t really work in my favor. That is how I got stuck chatting wid Carl I tried to use him as a distraction. Gary come running over hey Dada em say. At first I tried to ignore em hoping he would think he had the wrong trick my hair is different right?.. Wrong! The bumps in the trunk get me every time. Em kept shoutin me name like a mad man. So I turn hey Gary how you? We chit chat an em get to the point Roc naa tell me you were coming. I told him Roc doesn’t know we broke up long time ago he was like oh. So where you staying.. Think Dada think. Oh I’m staying at the Holiday Inn. I’m actually leaving 2morrow. He looked at me puzzled like oh o.k. So we finish chatting. So Stars I like Dada come on mi feet hurt so I was like alright Gary talk ta yuh later. Now girls yuh know what I did wrong right?? Mi dumb rass kept walking the way to my hotel. When I was close I stopped like phock if Gary is watching he’ll see me turn in there because I never did see where he went so I ended up going down Dead End Beach instead. Now I knew Gary would be at Pier One that is his spot and he had enuff time to tell Roc so going to Club Cali really came in handy. So I already told you that part no need to repeat. So come Sat mi tink it was around noon I’m sitting on the pool deck again having a cocktail (I had a lot of those this trip). Star is out talking to her friend and she call my phone. She’s whispering like guess what? I’m like what she’s like Roc is behind me. I almost spill my drink. I told her say swear she says I swear and he’s walking around the resort. She was like he just walked past me and he looks like he is heading ur way. Guess Gary wasn’t dumb after all. I start to get worried like damn do I act a fool, do I go postal, do I stay calm what? You know I’m messing with my hair and putting on lip gloss sista needs to look good. I have a black dress on that makes me look good and slimmer dips down a likkle in the front and has my back out (by the way Sus I loved the sun dress you wore to Cara;’s wedding) I had turquoise slippers on that matched the turquoise earrings in my ear and yea I look straight. I’m staring at the bartender and laughing as if I didn’t see him but out my pairifle (sp) he was walking towards me and he wasn’t laughing at all. U know what’s weird. I sent his guy Carl in Mobay that I played off for a long time. I got my new phone off the strip at Digicel and low and behold he called me later that night chat bout mi text em. For some reason she is mad at him doing the damn thing with out her, see they broke up because she cheated and he was done. His friend told him to come to where she was at one night, and when he did she was kissing another man. Thats why Im here now because he was single When she hung up on him and he tried to call back 2xs and she no answer. He was like oh well. Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardies a home and a farrin (Part 23)	I was going to give you all a detailed version but I thought why bother lets get to the point shall we. I see I matured all the calls and whistles don’t phase me anymore and there actually quite annoying. If another man would have told me he lub mi size or I’m so beautiful I was going to scream. That is not a turn on in the least slightest way so stop! I got so irritated with folks I stopped looking at them or paying them any attention. Just move already. I didn’t get a chance to do Pier One instead I did Club Cali. It’s a new club near Trelawny. It was all locals so I was in my glory and they let me and my friend be plus I had an escort already. Before going to the club I did a fish fry. I never in my life seen speakers so big and the fish was good. I love how Jamaicans just eat, dance, drink and smoke on the street. At the end of the day their just trying to have a good time. Of course the police came and mashed it up but after a while they continued. On Sat we went to another party. It started really early so we couldn’t stay long we had to get to Negril. Drove to Negril and stayed at Fun Holiday. I didn’t like this resort as much as Toby’s but we made due. It took us for ever to get our food and it wasn’t good so we didn’t eat there any more. I must say my best dinner was at Alfred’s it was so good. Sat we did Jungle and Scrub a Dub. As most of you already know Scrub a Dub is very interesting. I had a good time and it was a different way to bring in mi bwaan day. My GF’s friend took us out. He came with a friend that for some reason thought we were together. Where ever he got that impression from I have no idea but the boy was ugly. He reminded me of Flavor Flav. Now in the car he was in the front seat jamming. I love that song “Skip Ta Mulu” and this other song that I don’t know who sings it but the main line is “She whines her body like she naa wanna go home” So anyway he was dancing in the front seat so I said man you look like you would be fun to party with. How that translated into I want you I’ll never know. He kept trying to dance all over me and wherever I went he followed. Good thing there was no eye candy in the place or else I would have been very upset. We got back to the hotel and they sat in our room. Umm you all can sit in the room I’m out. I went to the beach at 6:00 an just relaxed and de stressed. It was my birthday and I just thought about things I want to do differently. It was so nice having the beach to myself. Besides the few strays. After that I went to the Jacuzzi. Note to self before getting into a Jacuzzi make sure it has steps to climb back out. I really enjoyed the alone time but man oh man getting out of that thing was another story. I had to roll mi way out. If any staff seen me dey got a good laugh. When I got out I looked around making sure no one seen it. By the time I got back to the room Flava Flav was in my bed. Oh hell to the no.. I woke his ugly rass up like management said you all gotta go. They left and he tried to kiss me bye. I ducked it and told him have a nice day and shut the door. I slept for a minute but I was too energetic it was mi bwaan day. My GF was pouting like a baby she wanted to go back to Mobay. I can’t blame her, her friend was nice looking to say the least but if I learned anything I learned don’t let a man consume all ur time. Take your time and take it slow. No need ta rush. Hey Nat do you know Neville and Richard? They worked the bar area and they were so cool to hang out with I had a ball. They kept me laughing as we talked about folks that knew better than to be wearing them swim suits and they kept the drinks flowing. I paid for one but had about 6 or 7. It was all good fun. My GF was pouting like a kid she really missed Mobay. I can’t lie I missed Mobay too it’s like my home away from home but I wanted to see Negril too. I tried to get her to jet ski or walk the beach but nothing happened. So I stayed at the bar and met some nice folks who started buying me drinks cause it was what??? Mi bwaan day!!! Later that night Richard, Neville and I did the dance hall it was so much fun. My GF stayed in the room. I liked how they were gentlemen and didn’t try to push up on me or put me on lock down. We were just hanging out like three buddies. We caught a taxi back ta mi hotel I got out and they kept going and she was still in the bed. A few hours later we woke up and she was packed she wanted to go back to Mobay. She said she had enuff. I wasn’t all that ready ta go but what the hell I wasn't in the mood for fighting either so I packed my stuff caught a taxi and Mobay here we go. As soon as we hit Mobay she was happy. I put on my swim suit and chilled at the bar and had more cocktails and her friend came to the resort. She was finally happy. We left a little while later he took us to get some food on the side of the road and then we went to a pool hall. I started getting an attitude she was ignoring me as if they were the only ones there. Hell I could have stayed at the resort for all of this and then his annoying brother started to bother me. Damn cant a girl just be. I ended up moving away from him. I did have fun playing pool and drinking. So nice to be in a pool bar with no back wall to it so the fresh air and mosquitoes comes right in. It was night and you could see the lights from the city. So beautiful and peaceful. Well they were loud than a mug in there but you know what I mean. I loved the faces of the men who walked in when they seen us in there they were like ####### but they got used to it. There was a blind man in there who told me mi hear yuh fluffy. I said yeah he said well since mi cyann see let me feel how fluffy you are? Ha nice try! After a good while we left and drove around. I told them to drop me off they wanted to go to Moods and I had seen enuff T&A to last me a lifetime plus I wanted them to be alone. The next day was my last day and its always a sad one. I walked the strip to get my dad’s Magnum juice (don’t ask) and then I shot the breeze with a few fellas I know who were on the strip. Went back to the resort to get my things and had a friend take us to the airport. My friend got my bags out of the car and we took a flic. He’s like a brother to me. Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardies a home and a farrin (Part 23)	Morning Dada! How was the birthday and your trip? Gurl Gurl mi trip was all that and I soooooo enjoyed it and I needed it. I think for the first time in a lonnnnnnnng time I just enjoyed Jamaica and relax. I must admit it was weird for me and funny at first. You figure this was my first time getting off the plane and Roc not being there waiting pon mi. I actually forgot for a second and looked fi him and then it hit me Dada he won’t be standing there. I went with a GF who arrived later than me so I went to the bar and had a few cocktails while I waited. Yes you know all the taxi drivahs in the world came over. Ladies I even found a taxi drivah that was deaf so he used his phone and pen and paper to talk to me. After a few sentences he told me he loved me. I was like wow you on your game huh? After a while I acquired this look that said don’t do it so they finally left me alone. She finally arrived an hour and a half later and by this time I was feeling very very nice. We caught a cab and headed on our way. I was a little disappointed I used to go to a store near the movie complex in Mobay but it was bought out by a Hi-Lo. I used to go to this store to exchange my money and buy a phone since I left my last one with Roc. Whoever bought out the old store really hasn’t kept it up. It looked old and run down. I was really sad to see my store gone. So I had to find a new location over by Jerky’s. I figured since I was in the area I mines well grab me some chicken and festival right? I ate that food so fast I know the taxi was looking at me like slow down ooman. Sorry it was sooo good. Has anyone seen the new Mega Marts they have built? They remind me of our Sams Club. Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardies a home and a farrin (Part 23)	whats up yardies. i made it to atlanta about 130pm and resting for morrow morning flight to kingston for my wife interview thursday morning. it is strange that atl tempature is falling and i want to bust out the shorts for flight to ja cause its 86 there. lol Enjoy it when I left last week it was 23 degrees here and I went to the airport in capris and a short top with a hoodie over it . Everyone looked at me like but mi naa care. I thought I was going to jump out my seat when the captain stated it was 85 in JA... Aghhhh. Zeen on di way back de captain said it was 33 .... She wouldve taken a great loss. What if she didn't do it and owed all this money, don't you think it would have damaged her marriage anyway? It's only a house (material) what is important I think is that their love/marriage survived a major decision. It's not like the house was in another state somewhere. I think Q made a good choice and was being realistic.... Sometimes, even though our hubbies are adjusting so are WE. Especially those of us who are single moms who was used to doing it all on our own, having dead beat daddies, or to the single ladies with no kids who had to adjust their lives to instead of just getting up and doing stuff, asking their husbands how they feel or what they think about it. The important thing is that Q was being realistic about her feelings which I think were very valid. She is my hero! Tee there’s more too it then I put in this post and Q knows what I’m talking bout. At the end of the day she has to live her life the way she sees fit but me and her have a friendship and I would be fake not to tell her how I really feel. Just like she speaks up about things she doesn’t agree with in my life I do the same with her. Right Q? She did what she felt was right so as it goes. Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardies a home and a farrin (Part 23)	yep we do and yes i do understand the ex could turn in a minute, i understand your opinion mami, but a FAMILY decision should be just that.. based on the best interest of the family..not on the fact that my husband don't wanna be in the same house i slept w/ another man in.. roger wasn't looking at whats best for me and my kids only at how uncomfortable he would be.. i believe if he had left, he would have come back eventually.. i hope.. i am looking at the big picture.. we've already had his friends/family come visit and he expects he sis and his sons to come this summer.. now we have somewhere for them to stay.. we can focus our money on getting his kids here now as well as his visits he has to make to JA to check on the kids.. not to mention i am happy and after all ive done, i deserve to be happy.. i pray i made the right decision, we'll see.. Q I don’t think it had anything to do with you sleeping with another man I think it has something to do with ur X-hubby being CRAZY!!! Look at all the irrational things he has done, said, e-mailed, drove yuh rass of the road threatened his life man the list goes on and on…. At the end of the day it’s your life what ever makes you happy makes me happy. You told your husband you understood if he decided to go? Q you were not going to choose a damn house over your hubby were you? I am so glad RG went I would have been hot at you I mean so hot I would have took the next flight down there to get you had RG done that.. . You asked a lot of him Q and it should have been a decision made together if he didn’t wanna move oh well. Your ex isn’t showing his true colors now but just wait.. Plus I didn't add him to my account...the one that I had for many years and worked to establish..that one. A former VJer asked me how we bills pays and I broke it down...he pays cable, house phone, electric internet, 1/4 of rent, his cell phone....well he was making less than $10/ hour...I was told he pays wayyyyyyyy too many bills They would hate me now cuz he pays alot more. But these are the bills HE picked out in our agreement. I can be here on all day about his money thing but I don't want to offend anyone. But I seen too many women passing through his thread who will not make their men responsible for household bills. You know what Shemmy I commend you f or doing that. Michael has been full time unemployed in JA since last summer and only picking up odd jobs here and there......I AM SOOOO SOOOO FRUSTRATED and having a very hard time hiding it.... I find myself saying Hi, did you find a job today??? That is one part of the reason for my needing a break from the phone calls...but we are back to our daily call routine but it is hard to remain positive. (UGGGHHH i was kind of mad cuz it seems im always doing SOMETHING on my day off, i wanted to rest, but anyways, of course i did not show him my frustration, thats my BABAY!!!) we filled out the home depot app, and they called us 3 hours LATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the HR rep asked him when did he fill out the app and when he told her, she said she couldn't BELIEVE IT!! said that ppl usually take 6 WEEKS or MORE to get called back.. i told roger that the prayers of the righteous availeth much!!! the yardies had lifted you up in prayer my bwoy!!! now you need fi go to church more than once a month!!! LOL Wow Q dats what up!!!! You should be happy your baby wanted to fill out apps. Just think he could sit on the couch and not worry about finding work. I know it sucks but I think once he has a job things will get a little easier. Just think he can work now and send money to his kids. That should make him happy which will make you happy because that will be one less thing he’ll have to worry about. So sorry to hear about your dad. I've had to deal with that with a few relatives. My aunt and her husband were both on drugs for years and they have now been clean for over a year.... Hopefully, he will wake up on day and decide it's time to change his life back around to the way it was. I'll be saying a prayer for you. Sunray are you serious you have that much time?? Wow!!!! Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardies a home and a farrin (Part 23)	thanks 1luv.. my dad is a drug addict and thats why he gets sick like this and apart of the reason he has stayed MIA.. its such a shame.. my dad was top of his class, always had the best jobs, very clever and intelligent man, but his life just spiraled out of control with drugs..its SUCH a shame.. now it seems he has a bit of alzheimers, he is only 51, but he talks about things and ppl that are not there.. he is not very cooperative at times with the nurses.. my grand dad used to be just like this but he was 70.. my dad will surely need somebody in the family to take care of him to stay away from those drugs and assist him in general (if he lets them) his only brother is also on drugs and his only sis has 3 boys she's tryna raise on her own and has known about his whereabouts and dealings but never tried to help before so i don't know if she will now (not that she could anyway, he is very stubborn) i am the oldest and i have the room for him, so it is highly likely it could be me.. i am uneasy about it of course, I know he will not be happy about this... its very hard for me to not take the things said and done personally..i walked out on my grand dad one night i was to sit w/ him cuz he was accusing me of stealing something from him (they do that alot) he was a 7ft tall man that was VERY upset, i was a lil scared and po'd a bit too.. i just wasn't blessed w/ the compassion sometimes.. it prolly will be awhile before my dad is out of hosp, but like always, im trying to figure out step b before i get to A..
