Well Adjucator was flirting with me . It was weird she was the same lady who took my AOS interview. She said yup you remember me may be I am little bit chubby and old than I said hey I too lost my hair. It was wonderful and relaxed atmoshphere.

Hey guys I passed the test .
1. How many amendments does the cinstitution have?
2. Who makes federal law?
3. Vice president?
4. Highest court?
5. What group of people was taken to American and sold as slaves?
6. Why did the colonists fight the. British?
It was oral test and she did not ask any supporting documents to sbow although I had it. It took 10 min and after test she said you passed the test and ask if you are available for oath ceremony on March 02 at 11 I said sure than she printed out the oath ceremony letter.

Don't you remember when you filled the form I-129 or I- 130 . Same thing to me I picked the date and year for my mom randomly and no problem . Pick the date easy date like 15 August or 26 Jan .

I just received Interveiw letter dated Jan 19 my Interveiw is on Feb 24 at 2:40 in Philly. I know I can't be approved on the same day as my three year of my green card wont be untill mar 04 hey who cares atleast everything is moving smoothly.

My status also changed on Dec 28 it says request for evidence but I am guessing it must be Biometric thing. I am waiting to see the letter and date but no luck now may be in first week of Jan . Hey Texas is also moving thats good news!

The embassy wants a document showing sole custody of our child. When the birth was registered, the mother was alone and made up the name of the father (Ukrainian family law act 135) and used her family name as his last name) She has a document to this effect fron Central Registration. I am not sure this document is enough because the embassy asks for a court order. All the lawyers we asked about this tell us this is not done in Ukraine. This has been going on for months. In addition the wife has a document that shows she recieves a small amount of money evey month as a single mother. Am I worried about nothing?
Sh has made this name for the father because I am told in Ukraine the fathers name cannot be blank, even if it is ficticious.

Hi guys, hope you can clear something up for me, my mom's 10 yr green card will expire next July, she wants to get the Citizenship done, she has been a resident since 1997, my older brother sponsored her, right now she is 74 yrs old and does not speak or understand english, I have been trying to explain to her that according to the guidelines, she has to have been a resident for 20 yrs in order to not having to meet the language requirement, I know she is ok age wise, but not with the language, am I wrong? The problem I have is that some relatives keep telling that what I'm saying is not true and now she is thinking that my brother and I just do not want to get it done for her.

I hope the question makes sense, and thanks for your help!

Hi everyone - I'm a little confused here and although I'm not surprised the Immigration folks are trying to get me to pay them TWICE for this it seems like they could streamline their own process here.

Last summer I had my conditions removed and got my 10 year GC. To do this I had to have (and pay for) the biometrics - fingerprints and photo for the GC. Now with the N-400 .. only 12 months later I am paying (and presumable schlepping all the way to Philly!) for ANOTHER set of biometrics (and sending my own photos for some weird reason). They have them, they're less than a year old ... why not just use what they have.

As a matter of fact they have my marriage cert/husbands BC/ tax returns etc already from TWO previous applications just to get here and get conditions removed.

Am I crazy in wondering why they don't just use what they already have on my file?

My Fiancée and I have just received packet 3 from the US Embassy, London.

It provided us with a hyperlink to the instructions of how to file the next part of our application;

When selecting the "Evidence of Support" hyperlink, we are taken to;

We are getting slightly confused on the 'Affidavit of Support' Section;

"Form I-864, a contractual affidavit of support, must be submitted for most family-based applicants and employment-based applicants when a relative is the petitioner or has ownership interest in the petitioner's business.

Employment based visa applicants must show a recent letter from their employer confirming that the job offer upon which their application is based is still available to them. Qualified nurses must also present their Visa Screen Certificate. All other applicants must show evidence that they are not likely to become public charges while in the United States. Use of the form I-134 is an efficient way to provide this information to the Consular Officer."

Clicking on the "Form I-864" takes us to another page stating that;

"What about the fiancé(e) of a U.S. citizen who is applying for a fiancé(e) visa?

An I-864 is not required when applying for a fiancé(e) visa. An I-864 will be required at the time the fiancé(e) visa holder applies to adjust his or her status from nonimmigrant to conditional resident with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services(USCIS)."

So, we know we don't need to fill in the I-864 but we are confused with the I-134. Do we have to fill that in or not?

Help would be greatly appreciated
