My finacee and I waited over 5 months from receiving our NOA 1 until we received our NOA 2.

There is ZERO way to speed this process up.

Your NOA 2 WILL come you just have to expect it to take up to 6 months

Just got back from my interview at the London Embassy and everything went swimmingly!!

WAHOO!!!!!

I know it's only half way there (the greencard an all) but etleast we can be together without bouncing between each others countries

started waiting for my gc...
called the hotline and complained that my gc hasn't arrived a month after I got my welcome letter.
Received an email from USCIS telling me that the post office returned the gc and they will send it back to the address they have on file.

What surprised me is that now I got my gc..it is the same address on the other letter they sent me.
So who's fault is it?
Well... I'm just relieved that finally I got my gc and will start doing some changes with my ssn, will apply for a state ID..etc.

congratulations!!!!! I got my welcome letter yesterday. I hope they will send my green card and work permit soon before i will move in other state on July 1.

We got our NOA1 on November 12th 2008 and still never heard a word from them yet, and since the website is "broken" we just get an error looking up any information with our receipt number. We called in April and they said our forms where not lost and they where pending, but I am wondering if I should call again... we are still waiting at over 7 months now. I am so confused over the update.... wacko.gif

I am glad to hear the great news friends,
I have some to share too! We just got our interview date, it is for Sept. 2nd, and as you can see on my signature -- I am going there to Germany to be with him soon! I am the happiest! We will be flying back together on Oct. 1st. Things are progressing well!

We put in a service request cause we honestly have no idea how our case status is doing and we can not look it up online or call them for the status ( due to the error some folks have... sadly we are one of them.) Well, and as you can see we are pretty late and we have no known errors! I got a letter from VSC stating that our case is currently under review and I should have a decision/action within 60 days of them sending that letter. Hmmm... well good to know they didn't lose our case somehow!

Thanks you guys!

It has been a VERY rough time for the both of us, and we just don't have the money to keep visiting each other ( we rather save it for our future here. ) I am so GREATFUL for things like skype where we can see and hear each other everyday, so at LEAST we have that. We are hanging in there, we know that once this process is over we have our whole lives together. wink.gif

We actually do have an immigration attorney who has been helping us through the process, he told us that since the site says November 25th 2008 is being processed atm, that it actually is a 30 day window of Oct. 25th to Nov. 25th (Which we are in since we are the 12th ) ....so according to Vermont we are still not late until Dec. 13th and after. Heh. rolleyes.gif

I have called and when I finally get to talk to a human being I don't really get an answer other then I am still in the system and our paperwork is not lost but it is hard to rely on them as we all know.

I think one of the hardest things is waiting for that phone call from our lawyer to tell us we have our NOA2 in, every phone call gets my heart jumping for a moment!


Thank you for listening, and I will be sure to update when and if we get any news! I am really glad I stumbled across this site, it has been a lot of help. good.gif

If the date that's displayed differs from your official NOA1 date, you've been touched. I don't believe your lawyer would be notified separately, it would show up on your USCIS account. Keep in mind that there will only ever be one date displayed. It's not like a list of dates appear, the numbers will just change. If it hasn't been touched, don't fret! Lots of people go through the process with few, if any touches. They're not an incredibly accurate reflection of what's being done with your file.

Your application has arrived safe and sound so just relax and be glad that the process has officially begun! smile.gif

If you click the link that says "Immigration Timelines" at the top of the page, and then under "Timeline Functions" click "Edit/Add my Entry", you can fill in the information there. It looks like you're just missing the NOA1 date.

I know it's hard leaving your fiance, but hang in there! Each day you're apart is a day closer to being together forever smile.gif.
